I bought this product after reading many different reviews on many different sites. Although it does a descent job of straightening my thick wavy hair, it's not the greatest flat iron. You do have to dry your hair a little in order to get the iron working especially the roots. You have to run the iron many times on a section to get it completely dry and straightened. And my hair keeps getting snagged by the plates. I'm sure there are smoother plated irons out there. I'm half tempted to return this one and try Sedu since a lot of people are raving about it. But I don't feel like going through all the hassles. And this is the only flat iron that I know of that works with semi-wet hair. ** By the way, why don't I get any manuals with items purchased from folica.com? It's so frustrating and strange.
Loved this at first...

My hair dresser recommended this iron to me, and when I first used it I loved it. I told everyone I knew that this was the best iron in existence. I have now had the iron for 4 months and have used it about 10-12 times (I don't use it daily). Like another reviewer, I noticed that it has started to take longer and longer to get the same result. I can't understand how this iron fizzles out after such a short time. It first straightened my hair so quickly, now I need to run the iron over each section 3-4 times before it's straight. Also, my husband commented that he sees a lot of broken hairs on my head lately (he's a dermatologist, so he notices these things). So, I would say that it is not in any way "healthy" or "safe" to use on even damp hair, much less wet hair.
Great iron..not so great for wet hair

I am giving this iron 3 stars because it does a great job straightening, but not if I was to rate it for the "wet to dry" job it does I'd probably give it 1.5 stars. I have thick wavy hair and could never use this to dry my hair. It would take hours. I would need to run over every section of hair probably 3-4 times. I found it worked best when I dried my hair with the dryer and then straightened it as I would with my old iron. My hair looks and feels great. I think I will return it for a traditional straightener, maybe the sedu. I think the "wet to dry" would work for people with thin hair.
Great Product

Bought it last night and used it on towel dried hair.
At first the sizzling sounds scared me but when I saw the result it felt and looked so healthy I loved it!
It does however work best if your hair is more dry than just towel dried like the styler in the first review said.
The first time I glid it through my hair did not dry it 90% but maybe I took too much hair or the texture of my hair is different. I have very fine, very thick hair.
In any case, this is a great product. Thanks T3

This flat iron worked well at first; it seemed straighten my unmanageable hair while not leaving it feeling damaged. I have had it for about 6 months now and it does not seem to work as well anymore. I still have to use a hairdryer first and then follow it with the flat iron despite its claim as a "wet to dry" product. It also takes a long time to finish my hair. It's definitely not worth the money. I'm looking for another iron at the moment.

I am a hair dresser and all of the ladies I work with have this flat iron at their station. I have always been partial to the chi. However, when I used this flat iron it blew the chi out of the water. It works best if you blow dry your hair most of the way and then use the flat iron on it! I now have this iron for work and for my personal use!

I was going to a wedding and went and got my hair styled. When the stylist went to straighten my hair while it was wet I was in shock. My hair did not frizz the rest of the day or the day after! It's a great straightener and I think that everyone should own one...I do!!
I LOVE IT!!!!!!

the first time I used this straightener was at my salon.. and i have only one word: PERFECT!!!!! it made my hair so smooth and silky, i just couldnt believe it! i have very oily hair with some mild damage, but you couldnt tell! :o)
i would recommend this straightener to anyone, but especially those who are pressed for time but still want to look great! on the first stroke, the hair is dried 90%, and on the second stroke the hair is completely dried and straightened.
This is such a great product, you'd be insane not to try it!!!
not so good

sampled one at Sephora and was not impressed by any of the T3 products. They are also more expensive, does not even compare to the InfraShine iron, which only recieved 3 or 3.5 stars on this site. $200 at Sephora by the way.
