Product Rating: 5 Iron is FANTASTIC!!!
Reviewer: Faith   Wed Jun 04 2008

Don't waste your money on those cheap irons...they will just damage your hair. The T3 is Fantastic!!! It makes your hair shiny, soft and manageable. Your hair feels terrific and it does not damage your ends.

TIP: For those of you that think it does not work when you first get it...be sure to press the button and it will light up and heat. It does not turn directly on when you plug it in. Don't return it; because you think it does not work. It does...and it works GREAT!!!

Product Rating: 5 Great for African American, relaxed hair!
Reviewer: mam100 from chicago,il  Thu May 08 2008

This is a great iron! At first I was skeptical, because of how much it was. I have relaxed hair and this flat iron gets you roots real good, and glides right through your hair. I'm over due of a relaxer, like three months, but using this flat iron you can't tell!

Product Rating: 5 Awesome! Best flat iron I've ever owned.
Reviewer: Mahala from Jemseg, NB  Fri Mar 14 2008

I've had a Hot Tools straightener, and that broke a few months after I had it. I've just been getting cheap drug store straighteners ever since, and for once I decided to spend the money. I got my t3 tourmaline narrow duality and I love it.

Product Rating: 5 The BEST I've Used!
Reviewer: Kathryn   Thu Feb 14 2008

My hair is wavy and curly but its not totally nasty. When my old flat iron broke i was really upset. So, i decided to buy myself a nice one, better than before. So, since i heard alot about the Chi i bought one. When i went to use it, it was terrible. it burned my hair and it went back to curly/frizzy in less than an hour. I gave it another chance the next day, but it still failed me. Overall it took me an hour to do it, and it was a waste because it got frizzy again! Then i bought the T3....when i got home i used it, it left my hari shiney and healthy looking (not to mention less split ends)!!! It took me about 10-15 minutes and now its become part of my daily scheduele! I highly recommend this straightner to anyone looking for a good one!

Product Rating: 5 The ROCKSTAR of Irons!
Reviewer: Courtney from Texas  Thu Jan 10 2008

I have owned a Chi and a Sedu. (the were good) I recently purchased a FHI and hated it. I decided to exchange it for the T3.....What a great decision!!!!!!! This is by far the best quality flat iron I could use. I have kinky curly hair with cowlicks in the front. My hair now looks like a million bucks. The shine is unbelievable. If you are riding the fence as to which flat iron to purchase, the T3 is your iron!!!!

Product Rating: 5 BEST EVER!!!!!
Reviewer: Ann   Sat Dec 08 2007

i've been straightening my hair for 5 years now and in those 5 yrs T3 is the BEST straightner i came across... it doesnt damage ur hair compared to other straightners and leaves my hair soft and smooth. I use to own Hot tools (metal plate and ceramic) and both broke within a year... then i thought i will invest in a really good flat iron.. my friend bought a chi but that left her hair straight but super damaged (u know when u get split ends and it becomes kinda white)... my other friend had recently bought a sedu and when i tried it it took me forever to straighten it... so i went and bought a T3... i was so pleased with the results... it only takes me 15 min to do my thick and frizzy hair... and it looks like i professionally got it straightened (i always recieve compliments!)... when i read reviews that the T3 wasnt good i was so shocked bc I LOVE THIS IRON!... ive been using it for 3 years already and it hasnt failed me since :)

Product Rating: 5 The BEST!!!
Reviewer: Leigh from Dallas, TX  Sun Oct 14 2007

I have read the reviews and must make a post. I have been trained on the T3, but I'm not a sales rep. For those that don't like this iron, they are lacking in education. First, do your research on the technology. DON'T USE STYLING PRODUCTS with the T3 tools. The technology works to seal the existing water into your hair. If you use any style products before blowdrying or straightening, it will seal the product into your hair..leaving a greasy or crunchy look. (Of course this also means using the T3 blow dryer, which actually dries your hair instead of just blowing the water off the hair shaft.) No worries, the T3 is HEALTHY for your hair. Make sure that you are sectioning your hair appropriatly. If your hair gets caught, or drags, or doesn't straighten, you are pulling too thick of a section through the iron. Hold the ends of the strands to keep your hair pulled straight, and move the iron slower as you approach the ends to seal the cuticle. Remember that the temperature goes up to 410 degrees. If you have fine or thin hair, you do not need the hottest setting. If you do your research and use the tool correctly, it will be your new best friend. If you are going to make an investment in your hair, make it the T3. The Chi doesn't even come close to compare. After a while of use you will notice that your ends are not breaking or splitting anymore. And you will save $ on all the blow drying cremes and hot sprays that you need with a ceramic iron.

Pulls hair, my hair don't stay straight all day, I have to pass 4 time to have less frizzy hair...

Product Rating: 1 Plan to return it to Nordstrom
Reviewer: Teacher in Virginia from Great Falls, Virginia  Sat Mar 24 2007

I purchased the T3 Wet/Dry 1 inch tourmaline flat iron. I paid full price ($200.00) at Nordstroms. I brought it home, washed my hair and then plugged in the T3 to use. I waited and waited and waited....finally I double checked the directions because the LED did not light at all and the iron never heated. I checked the outlet (worked fine) and then I gave up. I plugged in my Sedu wide flat iron and it heated up in an instant (and I have very thick, very course, very long hair that needs the highest heat). The reason I had planned to buy the T3 was that I was intrigued with the idea of drying and straightening my hair in one step. I was skeptical about purchasing the T3 because I had read so many mixed reviews...particularly about it's not working or breaking shortly after purchase. Because of the limited warranty issue (or no-warranty if you don't buy from Nordstrom or Sephora), I figured I'd bite the bullet and buy it from Nordstroms.

Tomorrow it is going back for a full refund. I plan to buy the narrow Sedu in its place. I love my wider Sedu but would like a narrow one to curl the ends, etc., a bit more.

All I can say is, buyer beware.

Product Rating: 2 Not loving it!

This is a decent flat iron, but over the 4 months I've had it, I've noticed a dramatic change in my hair, for the worse! Before I purchased the T3, I had been using my old solano iron. It was heavy, but after years of using it, my hair was pretty healthy (I do weekly leave in conditioner treatments). But, after just a few months with T3, I feel like my hair is getting dry and very coarse. I don't know what to do to reverse the damage. I've cut down on my use of the flat iron by half and increased leave in treatments and hope to purchase a new iron, maybe the sedu?
Overall I'm pretty disappointed and don't recommend it.
PS. If anyone can recommend a flat iron that DOESN'T damage hair after extended use, please let me know.
I have somewhat thin, slightly curly hair.

Product Rating: 5 Awesome T3 1" Hair Starightener
Reviewer: Melissa from Wollongong NSW  Sat Feb 17 2007

I absolutley LOVE my T3 Hair straightener. When I have my hair cut, my Hairdesigner uses a GHD. Everyone raves about the GHD but I am a Hairdesigner myself and own a T3 1" Hair straightener and think the end result is just as good as the GHD. I recommend the T3 to all of my clients and i know that they are all happy too.

Product Rating: 4 Great!

I love this iron! It really puts shine back into my hair and makes the frizzies go away. Although, it does make my hair a little dry if you use it too much. Overall, I would say its worth buying!

Product Rating: 3 ITS OK
Reviewer: TINA from TORONTO, ON.  Sat Dec 09 2006

I have tried many straighteners including CHI and GHD, I still say the GHD and CHI do much better of a job.

I just bought my t3 narrow duality a week ago and used it twice, I noticed that I had to go over the hair a lot of times to get the result that I would have if I had used a GHD once over it. Maybe it's due to it being new? Im not sure but I know I shouldn't have to go over my hair again and again. I dont even have curly hair, its only wavy yet it is very smooth over the hair at the same time your hair may get stuck on the sides of the iron (between the plate and the iron itself). The good thing is it stayed straight for 2 days now, but they all should give you that effect.
I rate this iron overall 7.5 to 8 out of 10.

Product Rating: 5 The Best...Love the Temperature Control
Reviewer: Elizabeth from San Francisco  Wed Oct 11 2006

I tested quite a few flat irons (Chi, Hai and Solia) at my local beauty supply store. My hairdresser uses a Chi and it works great. What sold me on the T3 was the 4 year warranty and the same (if not better) results than the Chi. I have no problems duplicating straight salon hair at home with this iron. This is saying a lot since I'm a klutz with a blow dryer and round brush. I also think the temperature control is a great feature. I use this with my T3 featherweight dryer for perfect results. My hair is type is coarse and curly. I haven't noticed any additional damage to my hair using this iron. Slightly pricier than some, but well worth it.

Product Rating: 4 a good product.... but there's been better
Reviewer: catherine   Sun Oct 01 2006

this flat iron heats up extremely fast and after i straighten my hair with it, it looks how i want it and lasts a long time. it has a four year warranty, unlike the chi, and i have been pleased with it.

however, i had a chi for two years but it got a short in it and died so i decided to get a T3. while, it seems to be just as hot as the chi, the way it doesn't clamp as tight and takes a very long time to straighten. i have wavy, curly, medium thick, medium length, somewhat frizzy hair, and it takes me quite a while to straighten and my hand gets very tired from holding it down so hard. i have also noticed more spit ends in the past year i've been using it. i prefer the chi, mainly because the grip, but this is a very good straightener and i would recommend it for someone who wants a good flat iron, but doesn't have the money to buy one every two years, like you would a chi. so i hope this review was useful! :)

Reviewer: Roberta from Mount Dora- Florida  Wed Sep 27 2006

I bought on Folica my T3 and having a coarse and bleached hair I was afraid it may not work for me. Pleasant surprise it is the best I have ever tried and the size is perfect for my medium hair and to hard to reach frizzy spots. That is one great flat iron.

Product Rating: 5 T3 Narrow Tourmaline 1" Wet-Or-Dry is AWESOME!!!
Reviewer: Lucy from Los Angeles, California  Wed Sep 20 2006

Before I purchased this I read ALL the folica user reviews for this iron and I was more than a little scare to make the purchase because of the bad reviews. However, I did take the plunge and I am sooooooo glad I did. So far I've used the iron 3 times since I received it and I'll give a little synopsis of each result.

First of all, I am an African American woman with kinky African hair (not curly, not frizzy -- KINKY!!).

The first time I used the iron, I washed my hair and towel dried it, applied a little Biosilk then I proceeded with straightening it with the iron. The results were "good", it was'nt bone straight the way they get it at the hair shop but it was straight enough to pull it into a nice ponytail. This first time took about 2 hours as I was using pretty large sections of hair and not really taking my time with it. I also got a lot of ends stuck in the appliance.

The second time I used it I decided to blow dry my hair first, but still I pulled pretty large sections of hair to straighten it. The result was significantly better than my first attempt. I also learned to release the tension on the iron a little as I approach the ends.

The third time was the best. I shampooed and blow dried my hair. Then straightened in small sections, the iron allows you to get pretty close to the roots which is great. This time I got SALON QUALITY results!!! I also did not loose nearly as many ends to the appliance as I'm learning to ease the tension as I approach the ends of my hair. My hair was bone straight, silky, shiny and it felt hydrated, not dried out like when you come from the stylist.

I used Biosilk all three times.

The bottom line is that it takes practice (at least for me) and patience to get the salon quality results when using these irons. The greatest thing is that I am no longer going to be held captive for hours on end in someone else's chair everytime I want my hair done. Now I can work out, run, swim and sweat in peace knowing that I have the tools to do my own hair.

I highly recommend this iron to any thinking about buying one. Sorry I don't have a pic to upload.

Product Rating: 5 great iron
Reviewer: julie from south bay, ca  Mon Sep 04 2006

T3 has got to be one of the best. i have very damaged hair.. been bleaching it, dying it more than i should. i thought i'd never put a hot iron in my hair ever, but i was wrong. when i found out that ceramic/tourmaline doesn't damage your hair, i went and researched, and bought the T3 flat iron.
after using it, my hair does NOT feel even a bit dried out or frizzy. it actually comes out looking silky and smooth. i actually bought another iron after this thinking it would be better (the Corioliss in pink), but i was wrong. only con of the T3 is that i think the power link is going out, so it seems to turn off at times. other than that, it's a great iron.

Product Rating: 2 Not worth the money!!!
Reviewer: Gabster135   Mon Sep 04 2006

I brought this flat iron at Sephora and i paid alot of money so I expected it to be amazing! But I've been using it now for at least a year and it doesnt work nearly as well as i expected. I have a mixture of black and white hair that i get permantly straightened so it has more of a course texture thats harder to straighten. This iron doesnt do a good job of straightening my hair leaves it frizzy in some parts. Also it pulls on ur hair(because hairs get stuck in the side of the iron) and breaks it off!

trust me you dont want to waste your money on this.
