The name brand sort of let me down. There was too much hype about it being a great tourmaline straightener. It heated up quickly and was a good straightener but i found some problems with it. I have normal, slightly wavy hair but lots of it. Whenever i straightened my hair, it just didn't seem as smooth as other brands, even my old helen of troy that just broke.. And especially when i tried to curl or wavy my hair, the ends always seemed too angled (and i know how to do it). I recently purchased a sedu revolution, and i love it wayyy more. still not a bad straightener if straightening is the only thing youre looking for. I have used other flat irons in the past FHI and Chi and I have to say this is a very good flat iron. I don't have kinky hair but naturally straight hair wih a few kinks. With this iron I can do just one or two passes and my hair is very straight and smooth. With other flat irons I would need to do more passes to make my hair straight. If you want a good quality flat iron I would recommend the T3. I have bi racial hair it is so curly I can't brush through it unles it is wet first I blow dry my hair with the evolution wit a pik attachment. Then I flat iron it with the proper smoothing and straightening products you can tame any nappy kitchen along with this iron bravo bespoke labs if anyone says this isn't a good product has dry hair Wow pretty much sums it up! I love this flat iron!! I've used ALOT of flat irons, probably every hot tool that is out there, & everything they have at sally's, the CHI & the generic CHI's. The Solia that everyone loves, I loved the solia when I had it except that 7 months later it just died out of no where and I didn't have the money to ship it back to them and to pay the shipping to have them send a new one back to me so I never got it fixed. I was inlove with the solia that I got mad with every flat iron I used after, going through one after another. Till I found the t3....and OMG WOW! I have very picky hair when it comes to flat irons, I have to have 450 degrees or it won't work, But his one I can grab a hand full of hair and the t3 just goes right through it straightening everything perfectly!!! There's no damage done to my hair, and I just dyed it too, and my hair still feels so healthy after using this flat iron at 450 degrees!! Now that is just amazing! I have owned many many flatirons (CHI, HAI, Sedu, Revlon, etc.) and this is by far my favorite. I have very thick, coarse hair that I have to flatiron every day so the time it takes to flatiron my hair is very important to me. While I loved my previous flatiron (Sedu) it would take me at least 30 minutes to do my hair. With the T3, I have literally cut my flatironing time down to 15 minutes.
