Product Rating: 1 T3 is sparking
Reviewer: Mimi from New York  Wed Dec 05 2007

I wrote a great review about this product a little over a year ago. Well - today it starting sparking on the inside - bright blue sparks. Fortunately I saw this before it started a fire. I have been taking good care of it and cleaning the filter -etc, but this is a fire hazard. I noticed that another poster had the same problem Please be careful if you have this. Toaster and blowdryers are a major cause of home fires.

Product Rating: 4 Spendy but Worth it

It cost so much!! I could barely bring myself to buy it but i read the reviews and took the plunge.
It is not a miracle worker but i believe it's probably the best hairdryer you can buy.
It does get a bit HOT but i give a shot on the "cool" button and keep on goin'.
My hair is Baby FINE, like cotton candy and STRAIGHT as a stick. I need all the help i can get.
Be sure to also use a
HEAT PROTECTION spray on your hair
and a good
ROOT EXTENTION product.
You'll be happy with the results.
i have been using this hairdryer for 6 months with no problems.

Product Rating: 4 Just short of 5 stars
Reviewer: Elise from Atlanta, GA  Fri Nov 30 2007

Only because the hair dryer still appears cheap aesthetically speaking (meaning the actual unit itself appears cheap) even though it's not. it does do a great job of drying my hair quickly w/out blasting my head with hot air and making me sweat like a pig just after a shower. this is the reason i got this dryer, that and the de-frizzing quality which was readily apparent the first time i used it. i have thin fine hair with a strong wave in it and it frizzes because i blow my hair straight. this eliminated the frizz and dried my hair in probably 40% of the time it usually takes. i wish it had more settings as far as heat and speed, but it's basically a Hi or Lo that you have to choose from. I haven't had it that long so time will tell if was actually worth the high price tag. I honestly think this dryer could sell for less and this company would make a killing if they dropped the price. BTW, my hair dryer that arrived was white plastic, not silver, if that matters to you. And it had little gemstones down the handle which i found charming but also odd. I don't need that on a hairdryer and if i'm paying extra for it, leave it off.

Product Rating: 1 Broken in less than a year

My T3 dryer was a gift... bought from Folica and it's not even a year old and just quit working. T3 has been very hard to deal with and do not want to fix it.

Product Rating: 5 The BEST Dryer EVER!!!
Reviewer: angela from CA  Tue Nov 20 2007

Ok. So I've had my t3 for about 2 yrs now. Maybe a little longer. Not sure about the ladies that had theirs break on them.. mine has given me NO problems what so ever! It's just a luck of the draw I suppose? Anyway, I too have thick hair with coarse texture, and the first time I met this little silver beauty was when I went to get my hair done at the salon and I noticed that my hair was soft, shiny, and smooth as she was drying my hair. I asked her what product she used and she said NOTHING. So I asked her, why is my hair so shiny.... her response was oh that's the dryer girl. I was LIKE WHAT? What kind of hair dryer does that? Needless to say, I was online that very same night looking to make my purchase! I have not been without my dryer ever since.

I ABSOLUTELTY LOVE IT! I even sold my BF's mom on the dryer. She has really thick and curly hair too. And she LOVES it just as much as I do! I actually bought a sedu flat iron from folica before the dryer.. I should have gotten the dryer first. 'Cause after my dryer, I don't need to use my sedu, as I don't really need it.

I did however find that if you pair the dryer with a really good shampoo and conditioner, the results are that much better! For those of you with thick, dry, coarse, or curly hair, try using Alterna Caviar line. It is an AWESOME combo for our hard to tame dry hair!! =)

Product Rating: 1 T3 - Quality Control Issue!
Reviewer: rebecca   Sat Nov 10 2007

Fan fell off after using for 1 month (2x's a week)! One would think for selling a product at such an expensive price they would have a much better quality control process... I've had a much more in-expensive store bought hairdryer for over 10 years. Ridiculous.

Product Rating: 5 Great hair dryer
Reviewer: ginny hogan   Sun Nov 04 2007

I investigated hair dryers and found the T3 dryer had great reviews. The hairdryer arrived and it is all I had hoped for. It tames my frizzies, dries fast, and it is lightweight!
Hurrah!

Product Rating: 4 Great Dryer for Some- Just not for my thin hair
Reviewer: Bhavna de Montebello from New York, NY  Thu Nov 01 2007

So I bought the T3 Featherweight after having read all the stellar and not so stellar reviews. My conclusion: it's basically a great hair dryer. Just not perfect for my hair. In other words, if I had thick, coarse and/or nappy textured hair I'm sure I'd be in hairdryer heaven. But I dont. I have relatively thin (some would say medium) thickness black slightly wavy shoulder length hair, to which I'm always trying to give more body to. With this goal of greater body in mind, the T3 fell short in my eyes. The reason? By the end of the day my newly blowdryed hair fell flat even though I used volumizing curlers and spray when I blowdryed my hair. I think it's the anti-frizz effect of the blowdryer that was the cause of it. Also, in addition to my hair feeling flat, it did have a slightly greasy quality- probably because of the excess moisture that is infused into the hair with the tourmaline ceramic ionic technology. It did leave my hair lustrous and shiny and soft (which is fabulous) but I was not happy with the thinning effect it left on my hair. Other blowdryers (less fancy ones than this) seem to give my hair greater body- so I will continue to shop for my ideal blow dryer. But I must say- I loved how light it felt in my hand, how it didn't have a deafening sound (which is great) and how soft, lustrous and shiny it left my hair. And it did shorten drying time by about a good 10 minutes, which is significant in my book. And I wasn't bothered at all by the switches.

Product Rating: 3 Cutting Corners
Reviewer: Susan from TX  Wed Oct 31 2007

Read several articles that this was the best of the best and all the rage. So I decided to spend more $$ for a blow dryer only to find that I love the fact the dryer is light weight but hate the fact they cut corners on the cord and did not use a tangle free cord. Really for for the price, you would think they would use a tangle free cord.

Product Rating: 5 Cuts down on drying time plus more!
Reviewer: M.W. from Chicago, IL  Mon Oct 29 2007

Me and my 2 daughters have long, thick, overly curly hair (African mixed with Asian). My old cheap drugstore blow dryer would leave our hair frizzy and straw-like, and on my daughter's mid-back length natural hair, drying and smoothing would take several hours! After reading the reviews on several models, I chose the T3. Drying time on my daughter's hair now takes 45 minutes--and that includes both drying and smoothing. The T3 dries and straightens our hair so well that we don't even need to use the flat iron afterwards. Instead of dull, lifeless fried frizzles, we now have silky soft, shiny and lustrous hair from root to ends. After parting off sections and applying a dab of Rusk Str8 balm, I use the low setting for drying and smoothing, using a large round ceramic vent brush. I love my T3!

Product Rating: 1 Poor quality
Reviewer: s   Mon Oct 01 2007

I purchased this product only two months ago and the fan just broke off . The product is exceptionally poor in quality, although I did like the way it dries my hair. I have had a $40, and an $8 dryer for over 7 years with no problem I will be returning this product and not repurchasing.

Product Rating: 2 GOOD but BAD
Reviewer: Anonymous   Fri Sep 28 2007

I love this dryer. It dries my hair really fast, leaves it shiny, frizz-free and healthy looking... BUT... the first one I bought Broke, I turned it on and it started to smell like something was burning... So, I bought a new one (since i lost me receipt from sephora and they did not want to replace it). So the new one worked well... FOR 2 MONTHS!!! Until it started not to blow air but make a sound. I dont know what happened, when i turn it on, it sounds on but no air was coming out!!! So, here I go again, trying to replace it and Sephora told me to contact T3. I did, and they sent me a bunch of forms to fill out and tons of requirements, and they want me to mail the dryer to them so they can diagnose the "problem" with a check so that they can mail it back to me... Bottomline is, it is such a hassle!!! This works really well but what ever happened to QUALITY!?!?!?

I have owned a CHI and T3, and this hairdryer tops them all. My hair looks extremely healthy, and stands up to humid weather better than ever before. The dry time is amazing. Definitely recommend.

Product Rating: 5 LOVE IT
Reviewer: stacy from ny, ny  Tue Sep 25 2007

i read a lot of reviews... this is a great hairdryer. i have always bought cheaper ones, for $40. but decided to splurge after my last one died. and i notice the difference with this one. it takes half the time for my hair to dry, even when soaking wet. and it dries with a nice shine, soft, and less frizzy. it dries my hair like my hairdresser does. it doesn't get too hot or seem to burn my hair. it also is very light weight. the cool button is easy to use. i've only had it a month, but no problems at all. worth every penny.

Product Rating: 2 Doesn't hold up
Reviewer: MB from Washington, DC, USA  Mon Sep 24 2007

Bought this dryer in November of 05. The power switch wore out last month (Aug 07). Only occasionally switches on to the low speed. Unacceptable for a $200 dryer.

Product Rating: 5 Excellent Hair Dryer!
Reviewer: Nicole Jackson from Vancouver, BC  Sun Sep 23 2007

I bought this hair dryer after pondering it for awhile. I usually don't dry my hair to avoid damage and flyaway frizz. This dryer makes my hair shiny and even the old colour on my ends shiny! The dryer is very quiet, super light and doesn't whip your hair around. You can actually dry your hair using a brush without the dryer whipping so fast off the brush! I have sleek shiny smooth hair now!

Product Rating: 1 the fan broke off
Reviewer: Jennifer Santillan from Fontana CA  Sun Sep 23 2007

I just bought this barely about 3 months ago and it's not working anymore. The inside fan broke off and just made a noise when turned on, no air blowing. I had this registered so I need to send it to the manufacturer. What irritates me is I can't return it to where I bought it from, so I would have to pay for shipping and then return shipping. The co. should at least pay for the return shipping since the product was defective. I should not have bought this, it's not worth the price.

Product Rating: 4 T3

I was concerned about buying this expensive item from a "non-authorized" seller. When I received it, the box was not in its original condition (not originally sealed, no serial number tag on the dryer) I was concerned that I had purchased a second hand item. However - the dryer does work great and so far no problems. After the 30 day Folica warranty I know I will be out of luck if something goes wrong with it - but it was worth the risk to save $50 over every other price I looked at.

Does not burn the hair, hair is more smooth and does diminish drying time (although not significantly).

Product Rating: 5 I should have got this years ago
Reviewer: Jan from California  Tue Sep 18 2007

first of all I want to say I have a lot of hair long thick hair!. straight/a little wavy. it takes me 30+ minute to dry up my hair.everytime I go to the salon the ladies there always get real tired drying my hair. so you know how much I'd rather not wash it =P.I decide to invest in this t3 dryer, after a friend of mine got it and her hair look soo shiney thougout 1 yr of owning the t3. so I think its a safe choice to get this that if it doesnt dry up fast enough for me at least it should get me that radiant shiney look. I got it last week and tried it right away. OMG!! it dry my hair in 5 minute!! by 3.5 minute it was all dried up I took 5 minute to styling and blow dry it straight. I was soo pleased and amazed I tested it out with a timer 3~4 times now. it works soo good!. its light, and since I'm not a winter person I didn't mind the heat beside it has a cool setting. if your concern that the other ratings says its too hot, the trick is to shake the dryer while drying your hair like how the salon does it. its so cute with little rhinestone design on it. It is probably the most satisfying beauty product I have ever bought. Now I know why its soo pricy. it really is well worth the money. If you have lots of hair and struggle to dry it fast while not overdrying and frizz the hair GET THIS! my bf and friend had instantly realized my hair look shiney and a soft clean blow dry look, they thought I use some hair mask or oil, and all I did is change my hair dryer! Im soo happy with this product that I have to write a review for it!

Product Rating: 4 Great dryer
Reviewer: Karen Zarling   Sat Sep 15 2007

I love this dryer. I have stubborn natural wave, and now I can finally make my hair do what I want in the way my stylist does. (She has the same dryer, but paid lots more!) The only drawback is that when you clutch the handle, the on/off gets hit turning the dryer off. This could easily be fixed in a future model. I often tote my dryer to the gym and greatly appreciate it's light weight. Great purchase!
