Hey girls I tried this product and it is by far the best one out there for doing it yourself. A little tip is try snipping your hair shorter. It's a little less painful, quicker and less messy. It works for me beautifully.
Don't have a microwave? submitted by: Amanda, Tue Jul 04 2006

Some people (like myself) might still not have a microwave and so may avoid the "do-it yourself" hair removal kits that pretty much all require a microwave. I won't use anything other than Surgi-Wax because it is the only product that ACTUALLY works, but since I don't have a microwave, I had to get creative. Even though the container is well marked to only heat wax in a microwave...I have found that the plastic container is strong enough to handle repeated use in boiling water. All I do is get a pot and fill it just so that the container is covererd up to the lid. (make sure the lid is on tight so water doesn't get in. If it does you can usually tip the water out) I then let it boil for about 10 minutes for a new full container (always check and stir periodically) and less for less product. This may take longer then a 10 second zap in the microwave...but unless your microwave wealthy neighbor doesn't mind you sprawling out in their kitchen to do your body waxing...then this is a GREAT alternative! It is still less time then it would take to go to a costly salon to get the same results.
