Product Rating: 5 Guys have it bad too. Best product I've tried yet.
Reviewer: Scott   Sun Apr 27 2008

I'm a 25 year old guy and naturally VERY hairy, which I find rather repulsive. I've tried it all..Shaving, epilators, creams, and traditional waxing. Shaving sucks and lasts less than a day, epilators are like slow Chinese Torture, creams do absolutely nothing, and waxing hurts like.. Well, the most painful thing I've ever experienced "down there." Not only is traditional waxing the most painful thing ever, it only seems to remove about half the hair on my crotch and leaves my skin burnt red, hurting, puss bumps soon appear and hurt for weeks.

Saw this product in a store and decided to give it a shot, followed the directions very closely and love the results! Two days later my skin is still perfectly smooth and feels great. After heating and applying the wax, I ripped all the strips off and only hairs it left behind were shorter than the directions indicated it would remove. Not only did it work great but I hardly even felt the wax ripping my public hair from the roots!! Personally I'm Highly impressed and will buy this product again for continued use!!

Product Rating: 5 I got the container home today.....
Reviewer: Rachel from 585, NY  Tue Mar 11 2008

I have used the "old" formula of this wax and I LOVED IT!!!! I got home today from the store, and...... (drum roll)
I opened the white container, and my wax WAS NOT green like it should be. I am debating on whether or not to use it after realizing I got the "new and improved".

I haven't used the brown wax, only the green. The green is what I gave a 5 star rating to. I think that is why people either have 5 stars or 1, new and old.

Good luck ladies!! Just remember that once you get the wax, well, down there, that isn't the time to decide to chicken out. =D

This brand and this type of hair remover has the best results i have found. Recently it has not been available in stores. It is quick and easy to use with the least amount of mess. Just be sure to use the oil it comes with first and you may have to heat it a little longer than it states in the microwave. The new methods of remover that are more of a sticky jel seem are messy and leave hair remaining. They are also more expensive and require strips.

Product Rating: 1 waxing with bubblegum
Reviewer: Marina   Thu Jan 24 2008

Ok I tried.. I really did.. heated the wax oiled the area checked temp, etc all was good.. picked a spot to start and spread it on.. waited 30 sec like directed and flicked.. ok well stuck to hair I can deal with it.. got it started and the wax streached like a piece of gum.. managed to pick that section slowy out (ouch!!) figured I didn't leave it on long enough.. well you know ladies it really doesn't matter how long you leave it on.. it's like waxing with bubblegum.. you may get little chunks here and there but just not worth it.. can't even finish my wax and just don't have time to drive an hour to the salon to get one done or fix the mess I've made trying to get this product to work

Product Rating: 1 My hands are still sticky
Reviewer: Typing with pinkies   Thu Sep 27 2007

This product did a reasonable job on my face, but it is 24 hrs and I still can't get it off my hands. I've used every solvent I can think of except for WD-40. Use the Sally Hansen product instead - it works and you can still put down things after you use it.

Product Rating: 1 save your money
Reviewer: Nata from Florida  Mon Sep 10 2007

this product truly sucks- it's like waxing with bubble gum.... I was completely not happy with this product. Way too gummy and messy and I barely got any accomplished. I'd say save your money and have it professionally done!

Product Rating: 1 Horrible
Reviewer: Stacy from Michigan  Fri Jul 27 2007

Like others have said...it is very sticky, doesnt harden quickly and it comes off in pieces for more pain! I had to reheat 4 times! It is ridiculous. Think twice before buying

Product Rating: 1 SURGI WAX HAIR REMOVAL+horrible pain = JUNK
Reviewer: k z from PA  Mon Jun 04 2007

I recently purchased three more boxes of this "improved" product after trying the older version of the same product (of which i fell in LOVE with that is why I went out to the store to stock up, only to find they had no longer made it). So I try it and 1- IT SMELLS HORRIBLE, like pine! Don't let the maple honey logo pull you in. 2- It doesn't harden up as well as the old formula therefore it was next to IMPOSSIBLE to PEEL OFF!!! Believe me, peeling off wax in STICKY CHUNKS the size of nickels and dimes is NOT my idea of a good time. 3- I am now sitting here with nasty pieces of wax in places that I don't need it because it all wouldn't come off, and I have no idea how or when the rest off this CRAP PRODUCT is coming off.

Hey girls I tried this product and it is by far the best one out there for doing it yourself. A little tip is try snipping your hair shorter. It's a little less painful, quicker and less messy. It works for me beautifully.

Product Rating: 1 Would never buy again!
Reviewer: sarah from Indianapolis, Indiana  Mon May 07 2007

This was an absolute mess. It sticks to everything, and I had it all over my hands. It takes too long, and I didn't even make it past one area. I would not recommend this to anyone else. It definitely does not take out majority of the hairs.

Product Rating: 1 im still sticking to my clothes!!
Reviewer: kaysea from texas  Fri Apr 06 2007

i used this wax as the first DIY waxing kit i would try. ugggh, it was a sticky mess, i couldnt get it off of my fingers and i had it all over my bathroom. when i pulled the strip off it only took off skin and the wax was stuck to my hair, i coulnt get it off. i ruined my razor just shaving off the hair where the wax was stuck to me. i still cant get the stuff off of me. it wasnt a pleasent first experince at all and i would never recomend it to anyone in the world.

Product Rating: 5 Good product, funny experience
Reviewer: Kate   Wed Mar 21 2007

Well, I was determined to try a Brazilian wax, after reading about it on the net. I'm a DIY kind of gal, so I went out and bought a Surgi Wax Brazilian wax kit a couple days ago. I jumped right into it, not wanting to waste time... Aside from the excruciating pain involved in pulling a clump of bikini hairs out by their roots, it wasn't too bad. I found that it will make your eyes bug out, and possibly, you will scream. But, I can't think of anything that I don't like about the product itself; it even smells good. However, I gave up after two hours and opted to use tweezers to pluck out as many as possible. I'm going to try and finish the rest in a couple of days, after my skin has settled down some. I have never waxed before, so as far as first attempts go, it wasn't too bad.

Product Rating: 5 Wonderful product

This was a great product very easy to use. Heating time was a bit longer then thought it would be. Make sure you have some extra application sticks in case one breaks.

Product Rating: 3 It works... but not as well as Gigi's product.
Reviewer: Pumkin from Tulsa, OK  Mon Jan 22 2007

As many others have said, this product works well... but if you're planning on waxing more than just the bikini line area, do yourself a favor and spend the extra for Gigi's Brazilian hard wax. It's much less painful.

Product Rating: 4 sticky!

This was the first time i ever thought about waxing and it was horible. Maybe i wasent using the product right. Maybe a few good tips would help. Iwont give up though. I want that silky skin to bad. Good luck to everyone who trys.

Product Rating: 1 What a mess
Reviewer: Paula from Oklahoma  Thu Aug 31 2006

I used the original hard green formula for years and LOVED it. This new "improved" formula is a DISASTER. I had to use a solvent hand cleaner to get it off my hands. It is a sticky gooey mess. If this had been my first experience at waxing, I would have sworn off it forever. I guess I'll just have to try a different brand.

Product Rating: 1 MESS
Reviewer: Angie from Chicago,IL  Thu Aug 24 2006

I tried this product and WHAT A MESS! I tried it a couple of times and it only pulled off 1 hair! It took about 3 times to reheat it... and it takes forever to dry. I would not recommend this product but I will give it another try and see if I change my mind about the product.

Product Rating: 5 best wax ever
Reviewer: hairless in detroit from detroit area, MI  Tue Aug 08 2006

my lady friend won a bet she wasn't supposed to, so I had to do this. Unbeleivable wax. No strips worked great (my lady friend did it). Works great sucessive waxing are more easier after your first wax. Great for the summer my freind she loves it. Only way to go if you want to be smooth and clean.

Product Rating: 5 Great Product!

This is an excellent product and I received it within 3 days of ordering! Folica is great, Thanks!

Product Rating: 5 No more hair
Reviewer: Diane   Sun Jul 30 2006

This product works great although it does take a little getting used to. If you don't have a microwve, you cab use a candle warmer. That melts it and keeps it melted. :)
