For those who said it is messy you just need some practice. more than likely you over heated it. I (with the top off ) heated it up for 45 seconds then another 45 seconds stir it up then 20 seconds (remove when it get to 10 seconds). IMPORTANT FOR BIKINI AREA YOU MUST CUT HAIR LOW OR IT WILL REALLY REALLY REALLY HURT AND WHEN YOU APPLY OT LET IT HARDEN PULL FROM ANY DIRECTIONS IT ALL COMES OFF
Best Wax on the market

I have tried many waxes and surgi-wax is the one that sticks to hair only and rips it off with no muslin strips. Requires many heats but only one wax! So worth it.
Not worth anything

This wax is not good, its too soft...it doesn't hold on to the hairs. You pull the wax off and it just pulls the hairs but doesn't pull them off. You have to wax one area a number of times to get the job done. Its NOT worth it.
Horrible...damaged my skin

It was very very messy when trying to remove. It made my skin for many days. Even the hair that regrew were sharp stubs and stubborn. Never had such a horrible experience before with any other method.

The Hair Remover for face is a waste of money. I followed the instructions cleary and the wax was stuck to my upper lip and fingers about approx 15 min. VERY SCARY and painful. BY FAR THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER EVER EVERY BOUGHT..

It's a great quality product for such a cheap price! However you have to have some waxing experience to use it, or just watch CLOSELY a professional do it in a salon. One note - if you ever overheat the jar wax loses it's quality forever and starts flaking. Oh yeah, and deep bikini hurts like hell if you do it yourself, so have a big glass of wine first!
It's fantastic.

People who are giving this product terrible reviews are ignorant. You cannot use a wax on your legs and expect it to grab all of the hair on the first go! I went to a SALON and had my legs waxed four times, several weeks apart, before all of the hair would come up. Your hair grows in cycles and it is not always the same length. Come on people.
Besides, this wax works best on thick hair, like your underarms and bikini area. I hate thin, gooey waxes that drip and don't pick up any thick hair, so this wax is perfect.

Surgi Wax is so amazing. I have been using it for about 2 years now. It is SO easy to use. I think that most of the people who give it bad reviews just don't know how to use it properly, and it makes me so sad, I wish I could come teach them how to use it. No other product compares to Surgi Wax for hair removal.

This is the first and will ALWAYS be the only wax I use on my underarms, legs, and bikini area. It definitely takes patience to apply correctly and warm product just right, but yields WONDERFUL results.
Definitely worth a try and cannot believe the ratings are so low for such a great product :))))
not for first timers

i've been waxing with this stuff for 11 years. legs, face, armpits and bikini. Thankyou mothernature for giving me fine blonde hair...everywhere.
Great product if you know what you're doing. I have a home warmer and melt the wax in the microwave first and then pour it into the warmer. It's easier to keep a consistent temperature, and you don't have to run back and forth to the microwave to keep reheating it (if you're doing a long session)
When doing my bikini, i sit on a piece of aluminum foil to catch any drips. Works great!
Use the oil it comes with and give yourself time. It's important to apply the product in the direction of the hair growth and remove it in the opposite direction. Armpits and bikini can be challenging for this, so work in small areas. don't rush
Great product.
Got Really Good Results!

I used Surgi Wax for the first time on my under arms after trying a few others (w/ muslin strips .. impossible!!) well the results were great!!, not perfect but I think that was user error. it did not hurt!! I used some baby powder before waited between 15-30 seconds to remove, it was not painful at all and got lots of hair w/ the first yank!, the only problem was I may have put it on a bit too thick.
TRY DOING THESE STEPS>>
* sprinkle powder on skin before
* apply warmed wax at a 45 degree, be sure not to apply it too thickly in, the area should be no larger than 4"x 2" (this makes removal easier, i think some people apply too long a strip)
* wait 15 - 30 seconds and pull off in a upward motion against the skin.
* rub baby oil on to remove excess and sooth skin ( i prefer using johnson & johnson gel formula baby oil)
Complete Waste

I have difficult legs and nothing seems to work. So I turned to waxing. This product seemed easy and effective. I was wrong. It didn't hurt too much, but it only worked on about half my hair. I tried it over and over again and got the same effect. If you want a complete job well done, do not get this product.
Bad, bad, bad...

I bought the surgi-wax eyebrow and facial hair wax and LOVED it. It's the green gooey kind with no strips. I then decided to wax my legs and went back to the store to get this product. It was not ANYTHING LIKE the eyebrow kind and it was terrible. The only way to apply the wax is with this plastic roll-on thingie that clogs as the wax builds up on it. Also, the one and only strip I ripped from my leg didn't get all my hair, was incredibly painful, and leftover wax stuck to my leg. I threw both boxes that I bought away and called my salon to have it done professionally so I didn't end up with splotchy, red, rashy legs for my vacation..
Good luck with this product, you'll need it!
Warning...don't use this product!

I am extremely disappointed with this product. I followed the directions very closly. I tried a small patch on my upper leg and I was in so much pain trying to get it off. I was left with a raised, bleeding red patch. I can't believe this product is actually on the market. If you are thinking about trying this product...think again. I wish I would have read more reviews before trying it.
