Fried my hair

No joke, this flat iron fried my hair. I owned about 6 months and one day it was turned on for 30 seconds and read "error". I moved the temp. around to less than my normal setting of 325 and it went back in forth from 325 to error. When I used it....my hair instantly went up in smoke! It had fried and pulled a chunk of my hair out. It was only touching the hair for one sec. DO NOT TAKE THE CHANCE!!!!

Although it did the job, shortly after I got the SuperStar straightener, it wouldn't turn on. I took great care of it. I never dropped it or anything. Just randomly one day I went to plug it in, and no response. Don't spend the money, when you can get a Chi or a Sedu for less!

I had the superstar flat iron before and the plates fell out but i wasnt careful with that one,so when i went to buy a new one my salon was now selling the supernova,and i loved it.it heated up very quick and kept my hiar straight in the florida humidity,but after less than a year it has suddenly stopped turning on though it looks perfectly fine.I can't find any info on the company to send it back,so if anyone knows of where i can send it back please post!thank you!
it's not dual voltage!

I ordered this. It seems to be very good quality. The plates touch together nicely. I am returning it because I specifically ordered it because it is described as being dual voltage and it is only 110v - not dual voltage. Hopefully folica will be responsive to this error and change the website promptly.

well, i have had this straightener for about 5 years. and the cord is falling out...i think someone may have dropped it so the ceramic plate on one side is coming out. i am about to purchase a new one!! :]

This is THE best hair straightner i have ever used. I own the maxiglide & it does NOT work as well as the superstar. I really recommend this straightner to anyone and everyone. Straightens hair in no time. Heats in no time. Worth every penny. =]

I bought this my sophomore year of highschool and I am not a junior in college. I love this iron and I don't know how I would do my hair without it! After having it for five years it has been through a lot and the cord is almost falling out..but i plan on using it until im electricuted because it costs so much! you won't be disappointed though!

i like my paul mitchell flat iron much better than this superstar iron, this snags my hair and made it puffy instead of smoothing it. my friends PM iron is AWESOME and i'm buything that ONE! thank you.

I recently bought the megastar from a discounter and was very upset with the product. The SuperStar SuperNova is the BEST iron I have ever used. I was amazed with the results and so were my clients.

I'm so sad to say...that after years and years of use...my Superstar is not working anymore. It was costly and took time for me to pick out...BUT WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY!
This flat iron, not only made me the straightest hair (and I've got some kinky curls), but also the shiniest looking and feeling hair.
