I am very disappointed in this product. It is very messy to put on the smell is very strong and my Hands turned oranged and I used gloves. I used a body srub before I applied this and the next day I noticed blochy spots all over my body. I would recommend going to a tanning studio and getting the spray on tan more worth it. I will never by St.Tropez ever again
Best Color.

I love the color of this self tanner, it's sooo natural looking! There are some downsides though. 1) I wish it would last longer! Even though it lasts a good 5 days, I often go to camp and the beach and places like that for a week or more, and by the 6th day, It comes off. It also rubbed off on me in a weird way. I had all these spots everywhere, and when I rubbed my skin where there were spots, it would peel off. It was gross. 2) The price! Even though I really like this product, it's soooo expensive. And I can't find anywhere to get it cheaper. ): 3) My face was orange...I dunno why, but when I apply it to my face, it always looks sooo orange and unnatural looking! Even though I made it seem like this product has lotsa bad things about it, the color is great, so I DO recommend it. (:

Love Love Love!! Best self tanner that doesn't make you orange, streak, or fade too quickly! I've always gotten lots of compliments when I use this product. One tip though since it does stain your hands I use latex gloves to apply..works like a charm and you can spend more time applying the color and making sure it's even. GREAT PRODUCT!!!
not the best

I've tried all self-tanners such as mystic tan, fake bake, salon bronze, jergens, hawaiin tropics, clarins, etc etc etc including this one and let's just say this one is not the best one... for me. Maybe for others they look natural, but i have fair pale skin and St. Tropez gave me a yellow macaroni glow. The color coming out of the bottle was brown and streaky when first applied, but after the wash out the next morning i looked yellow. The best way to tell a "natural looking" tan is by standing next to someone who is naturally tan and comparing... The best self tanner i would say would have to be "Sun" if you like creams or "Body drench" if you like sprays.
WOW!

This is the best tanner ever.I will always use this as long as i live.i brought all the fake tans on the market, but instead of each one not working or making me look orange and spending loads f money i decided to buy an expensive one that i heard was good in all the magazines and this has saves me so much money as i will stick to this fake tan.one thing i will say for the moisteriser i found that body butter doestnt have the same effect as runny moisteriser.if you use runny moisturiser it gives a gourgeous tan.I really mean it.
Comperable to cheaper products

I am ghostly pale and always looking for that perfect tanning product. The color was good, very dark and natural looking. It was a headache to apply, and walking around like a mud wrestler wasn't fun. In my case it did leave streaks even though I am very experienced with tanners applications, and the bottle lasted for 4 tans only. I found the product overpriced.. IMO it was comparable to Loreal Submile Gel (thats much cheaper and lasts longer, the colour is not as dark though). I am planning to stick to Loreal while still searching for that perfect tanner. sigh.
No winter without it!

I love this product! No need for a tanning bed. It leaves such a nature tan glow. Streaks like crazy when you put it on before bed (don't get scared, but when you wash it off in the morning it leaves a streak free non-fake looking bronze! I use this product mostly in the winter just a little on my face before bed once a week or so. Makes me feel like i don't look washed out. Looks great in pictures too! Bath and Body Works used to carry this product which is where i discovered it, but they no longer do, I panicked at first but was relived to see that folica.com had it (and in a bigger bottle) I purchased one for my roomate as well who is also obsessed! My colleagues are now addicted as well. I would definetely recommend this product and pruchasing it from folica.com, they have fast shipping and great customer service!!!
Make sure to get the applicators with this one...

Dont try to use this with bare hands, no matter how much you wash...your hands will stay brown. The color was good, but I was too scared to use it again, because of the staining...so it didnt last long. Dries quickly and doesnt smell too bad. Unfortunately I think that Im allergic to all self tanners.

I like this tanning product because of the natural color it makes your skin.
A few cons tho are that its super streaky, greasy, and uneven when you put it one. But the next day, after you shower its pretty nice. DOn't wear white when you go to the gym when your using this product fyi. It'll wash out after a few washes, but you look pretty strange dripping brown crap onto your shirt lol.
The only thing I will ever use!

I used to tan when I was younger. Then I switched to indoor tanning. Decided it was time to start taking better care of my skin. Tried a couple of other products then someone told me about this one. I'm hooked. I make sure to exfoliate and shave beforhand. I wear nurses gloves to apply because I got tired of scrubbing my hands afterwards, and the gloves fit snugly enough that I can work the cream in. I guess I never rerally looked at the instructions about putting it on and not rubbing it in, because I put it on just like lotion. Because of the color I can see where it's streaked and spread it evenly, rubbibg it in as I go. I'm very careful around the feet, knees, or any rough skin areas because they will turn out darker. If I see an overly dark area, I wipe it off gently right away to even it out. I can use it in the morning after my shower, put on darker clothing for that day, and I am good to go! If I apply it in the evening. wait awhile before I go to bed, (it doesn't come off on my sheets unless I sweat. Then again it comes out in the wash.) I can wear light colors the next day. White is one of my favorite colors to wear, and even if a little comes off on the clothing, it always comes out. My tan looks just like it did when I baked out in the sun without the wrinkles! Also hated the spray on tans because of the smell, which you don't have with this. If I apply it two days in a row like this I get quite dark! and it lasts days.
The best fake tan product on the market.

Great product. Dries quickly, easy to apply, does not leave streaky marks and is very natural looking. Tan lasts about 5 days. Top ups required after 3 days or so.
It works

My skin is very fair and this product gave me a natural looking glow. If you exfoliate first and apply it evenly, you'll get a really nice colour. It's easy to apply evenly because it's tinted. Make sure you scrub your hands immediately after applying (use a scrub brush) because it will stain your fingers. It lasts 3 days for me.
Pretty good

I thought this product worked pretty good. I've only used it one time though, I was using Fake Bake for the longest time but came across this product and decided to give it a try. It was a bit different though because you don't rub the product in all the way so it looks like you messed up (looks streaky) but when I showered the next morning I had no streaks. The only problem now is applying it to my hands and feet. My hands did not look to good because I'm used to rubbing a tanning product in and with this one you don't so if anyone has any advice about this please email me at hllilpebbles07@yahoo.com,(any other advice would be helpful too). Another thing I noticed was my tan was pretty dark just with the one application I did and I didn't really use that much. If you want to purchase this product cheaper for 16.99 (for the 8oz) go to massagewarehouse.com, type in St Tropez in the [find a product] box and thats it. It arrived within two days.
Very dissapointed

I am a fully qualified Freelance Beauty therapist, so I know a good tanning lotion when I use one. I have been using a product called California Tan for years. You can buy it from some salons. It is very good and comes out a lovely golden colour. But I decided to try the St. Tropez because the California tan smells awful and I decided that I would like to go even darker. I had heard that the St. Tropez is a very deep tan and so having read lots of great reviews on the internet, I got myself a bottle. I followed the instructions very carefully. It was tricky to apply as it seems to dry as fast as you apply it! Then it rubs off if you add any more. I soon got the hang of it though and the fact that I looked like a Mud-Wrestler afterwards didn't worry me as I had heard that this was normal. You certainly couldnt go anywhere with it on though! I didn't mix it with moisturiser because I wanted to go as dark as possible. One thing I was very impressed with was the smell. It was pleasant and didn't smell the least bit like any tanning lotion I have come across before. It just smelled like a pleasant body cream. I was very excited about how it would look because it was my birthday weekend and I had alot planned. I was expecting to be a deep rich colour. I applied the lotion at 8am in the morning and wore very loose clothing all day. I was off work so I just relaxed. At 8pm I had a shower and realised that after all the effort, I was bareley even glowing! I was so dissapointed! Nobody noticed any different! I am fair haired and fair skinned so if it was going to show up on anyone it would surely be somebody like me, but no, it wasn't to be. I was really annoyed so I went to a salon down the road and had a California Tan done for me insead of me having to do it myself and by the end of the day I was a lovely colour. It may stink but atleast it does what it says on the can. Having told the therapist at the salon about it she told me that she also thought it was highly over rated and that it does very little for her either.

THE BEST fake tan on the market by far

I have been using fake tan for about two years now and i have literally probably tried EVERY product you can think of. I started out buying really cheap fake tans starting as low as $8 and then slowly working my way up to the $20 mark as i began to realise that u really do get what u pay for with fake tan.
At $45 it is a bit more expensive then normal but i actually look brown!!! not orange, not yellow, not odd shades of bronze/orange/yellow mixed together but brown!! my feet dont look like i walked in dirt..my palms dont look like i have just done the gardening...everything looks flawless and in ONE shade...please people stuff the money...i wasted lots of money buying products that did nothing..i wont go back now...i love it!! (ps - exfoliating before hand really does do wonders!!! i also find that rather then re spraying everyday i just use a moisturiser with a tint of tan in it to keep my colour glowing!
Pricey but it works

This product goes on scary dark but by the next day after you shower it gives a good even color. I like the shade and it comes out and how it goes on. Very little streaking. Pricey but worth it.
LOVE THIS STUFF!!!

I use this every day and get compliments all the time about what a gorgeous tan I have. It is really easy to use. I follow the instructions they give about exfoliating and lotioning before applying the product. I don't use their exfoliator or lotion. Almost any exfoliator and lotion would work. The sunless tan remover is really great to wash your hands with after applying the lotion. I also use the spray on the backs of my hands once I've washed all the tanning lotion off. The color is really good, real looking, not orange! WARNING: It does rub off on sheets and clothing! Not a big deal though, because it does come out in the wash easily. Just an FYI because you do have to be careful getting dressed if you're wearing light colored clothing.
