Great round brush!

I have been using this brush for about a week now and have noticed a huge difference when I blow-out my hair. My hair is soft and smooth...compared to using my old brush, which I felt left the ends frizzy and didn't give that "finished" look. The only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is that I've only used the brush for one week and don't know how well it will hold up and the fact that I purchased the 3" round brush and it is a little difficult to manage in my medium-long hair. Maybe I just need a little more practice! Overall, I'm pleased with my purchase.
855 is great!

This brush is terrific! My hair never looked so good. It was so smooth and looked like a blow out you would receive from a salon. I tossed my metal barrel brush in the trash immediately. The handle was comfortable to use and worked perfectly in my shoulder length hair. Would highly recommend!

I got the larger format of the three the 855 model and found that it met my expectations. I had previously purchased a brush that didn't grab the hair the way the Spornette brand does. This is an item I would definitely recommend.

I actually got mine from a friend who is a hair stylist about 5 years ago. It is still in tip top shape and I swear it really is the best brush in the world. I lost it once before I went to work and almost had a break down because it is the only brush that I will use! I have the 855. It does ANYTHING! Straightens, adds curl and my favorite....adds volume. It also makes my hair shiny and DOES NOT rip and tear my hair like other brushes will.I am not the type to write reviews but I truley believe in this brush and think everyone should have one!

I was having a terrible time getting my short hair to stay curled under in the back. I had tried a variety of brushes and then I stumbled upon a brush review in a magazine which recommended this one. I'm so glad! This brush makes it so easy to style my bob. I bought the 854 and would recommend it to anyone. It's the best discovery I've made in a long time.

Hands down the best brush I have ever used. Because the boar bristles are longer it doesn't get tangled in my long thick hair. It gently smooths through effortlessly. I've never had a round brush of any kind that moves through my hair so easily. It also smooths my hair so nicely I don't think I need the smoothing products I was using to style my hair. My husband noticed a huge difference and said many times how my hair looked better then it has ever looked in our 18 years together. In the long run I think my hair will be healthier because I'm not going to use as many products, not as much of a tug to straighten (less breakage), and boar bristles are supposed to be good for your hair. Best brush. I am going to buy a second just in case something happens to mine.

The hairbrush actually brushed the hair instead of sliding along the outer surface of the hair. The hairbrush also penetrated the hair down to the scalp allowing you to massage your scalp to get an all over good feeling. Being able to brush the hair and scalp, being able to feel the circulation was a delightful change. Almost all hair brushes merely do nothing. Was a delightful and satisfying surprise. A worth while investment. ;

The Spornette 855 is by far the the best brush I have ever used! I highly recommend it to anyone who has curly hair. It allows me to get a smooth straight look every time!

This is the best brush I've ever used. The bristles are soft enough that they don't snag, yet firm enough to hold my long, thick hair. My hair looks soft and silky after using it.

I purchased both the 854 and 856. I adore the 854; it does everything it claims. The 856 is IMPOSSIBLE TO HOLD, IT IS ACKWARD AND SLIPS FROM ONE'S HAND. I wish I could return it, but it has been used and that would make it unsanitary to do so. I am so sorry I purchased it.

I had beed using a ceramic, ionic hairbrush which was purportedly to give me shiney hair. Hands down, no contest the Spornette Italian Boar hair brush is infinately better. I do adore it.

It does a good job, but I'm predicting no bristles will be left in the brush by the end of May.
Seriously, for a $20 brush, I was kind of expecting the build quality to be better.
The brush works well, and everything, don't get me wrong. I just wish they sealed the bristles in better.

The 855 is the best brush I have ever found for a smooth, kink-free look to either long or short hair. This brush is a must for wavy or curly hair that wants to be smooth! Throw out that iron! The 855 is the best! And the all natural boar bristle never gets stuck in your hair!

This brush makes everyone's hair look incredible! Smooths and shines. Love this brush! I bought the 3" rounder #855 and the smaller rounder #856. You won't be disappointed.

I have the 854, it works, but continues to loose bristles. I wouldn't recommend it.

My hair stylist uses Spornette Italian brushes on every customer and suggested i purchase one, due to the fact that I have curly hair and it is very hard to straighten. Bought the 855 and absolutely love it! Also bought the 854 for my bangs. Folica.com is the best for buying ANYTHING you need. Their prices are unbelievable. I am a customer for life!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have naturally curly hair, which I happen to love, so I don't use this brush on a daily basis. But when I want to change my look, I always reach for this brush (855) and my hair dryer. In my experience, it is THE round brush for creatining salon-quality blow outs. It gives me smooth, shiny hair with lots of volume.
I've been using this brush for over 10 years now (I think I'm on my third one, and I always keep an extra one for "back up," just in case it gets discontinued - God forbid!) You can't get a better brush, especially for this price.
