I'm sorry, I really appreciate all the tips on trying to get this product out of the bottle but really at £40 a pop this really shouldn't be an ongoing problem. This is multinational company, surely they can create a pump that works. I have tried washing the pump (wasting expensive fluid), shaking the bottle and have had numerous new pumps delivered from the company all to no avail. The problem is the white crumbly bits, can't the company remove these. Come on DS sort it out!!!!!!!On a different note, to hide the garish yellow colour I am wondering whether if I add some brown colouring to merge more with my scalp whether this will work, has anyone else tried this?

Bright yellow & smelly variant?
I just started using Spectral DNC few months ago and the first few bottles I got contained a dark yellow (almost brown) solution that smelled kinda icky but not too bad, pretty much like most hair products out there, you know? But in my latest shipment (arrived in early Feb 2008), the solution is apparently different! I use the plunger applicator, not the sprayer, so I noticed right away that the solution was bright yellow, which makes it show a bit on my skin. The worst part though is that it smells different. I used it and OMG the smell is overpowering! I waited about 1 hour before going to bed after putting it on and I still woke my girlfriend up from a sound sleep with the smell! It doesn't fade away after a while like the darker yellow solution does. It's so strong that I feel like people could see the fumes rising off my head! Has anyone else noticed this or does anyone have any clue as to what's up? Maybe I just got a bad batch or something but if they're switching to this new solution then I'm really upset because the original dark yellow stuff was waaay easier on the nose. I hope they're not changing it because this stuff really works... I've only been using it for about 2-3 months and I am definitely regrowing hair at my receding hairline. My girlfriend has noticed and was thrilled - until I started waking her up with this new smelly stuff!

It sounds like you ordered DNC-L, not just standard DNC. I don't know the difference betweeen the two, but I think it's just whether you prefer a cream (DNC-L) or a spray (DNC). |
Longevity of usage
Do you have to use this every day for the rest of your life...or can it be scaled bacl once the har comes back or the trouble areas are filled? Let me know thanks...

10 squirts with the built in applicator (5 on each temple for me). Usually twice a day (once in the morning, once about 1 hour before bed). |

Hair colored
If you have your hair professionally colored permanent-1 x every 5 weeks-can you use this product without discoloring your hair.Bare in mind I am going to be applying this along the front of my hairline which has eroded.The Rogaine 5% has been allowing new hairs to grow in along my hairline

What color is your hair being colored? If it's lightened to anywhere near light blonde like mine, it will pick up some yellow color. For this reason, I am going back to my natural dark blonde color...I don't like the yellowing and I intend to keep using the product. |
