I have long wavy hair, semi thick. It's amazing how straight my hair can get. I blow dry it, making sure to put in a dime size of TRESemme Straightning Gel and some squirts of TRESemme heat tamer spray. When straightening it, I squirt the heat tamer spray on my ends and they straighten real easy and not to mention, feel soft and DEFINATELY NOT DEAD(:

1. Purchase the Solia 1-1/4 inch, better quality rather than cheap irons.
2. Shampoo and condition every day. Leave conditioner to soak for one minute, then rinse.
3. Put heat protection in and a leave in conditioner.
4. Don't brush hair when wet with a hard brush use a wide toothed comb instead to prevent breakage.
5. Let hair dry naturally, if no time then blow dry on a low setting.
6. Once every two weeks or so, do a hot oil treatment, try Vo5.
7. If swimming, wear a swim cap, to keep hair from chlorine to much.
8. Don't hold flat iron on hair to long, glide it down fast.
9. Get a trim every 6 to 8 weeks. A healthy trim is 1 inch.
10. Don't pull hair to tight in a pony tail, try it looser.

Once in a while you might find some split ends or your hair might be dried out from straightening. Once a month use the Vo5 Hot Oil Treatment. It repairs hair making it silky and shiny again. Follow directions on the side of the box. You can purchase it at almost every store in the shampoo section.

Herbal Essences has a great product line, these products will be in my tips.
1. Wash and condition hair with Body Envy shampoo and conditioner(Herbal Essences).
2. Towel dry hair and the apply, Body Envy Mouse. Apply a medium amount to palm of hand, mix with a dime amount of None of Your Frizzness Cream and work the combined products into hair. Use a comb to comb through to assure that the products have been worked through hair(Herbal Essences).
3. Blow dry hair using a round brush to put a little curl at the ends. Make sure hair is totally dry.
4. Section hair off with clips. Take your Solia flat iron and glide it inward to create a little curl under. Do that 'till hair is looking great. Don't get burned w/ iron.
5. If needed, add another dime amount of None of Your Frizzness cream for extra frizz control throughout the day.
Spray a misty amount of Body Envy hairspray to hold hairstyle(Herbal Essences).
**If you want add Shimmery Nights smoother(not the spray kind, the cream one) to the finished product, it will calm down Flyaways and give a shiny look, only use dime amount. I recommed it(Herbal Essences).

If you are currently using this flat iron and are noticing that your hair is being dried out or fried and if you have it on the highest temp.(450 degrees) Try lowering it down to 370 degrees. If you aren't currently using heat protection, do. Heat protection is very important in preventing excessive breakage, try Tresseme's heat spray protection, it works good and is inexpensive. Hopefully you'll notice a difference in time.

Who says you need expensive products to get hair to look its best for super curly hair, well you don't. Follow these tips:
1. Wash and condition hair with None of your frizzness shampoo and conditioner by Herbal Essences.
2. Towel dry your freshly washed hair and put a dime sized amount of none of your Frizzness cream in your whole hair.
3. Add Tresseme Straightning gel in wet hair, dime size amount.
4. Blow dry hair, while blow drying, use a soft bristle brush and brush out curly hair, while blow drying that section.
5. When totally dry, setion hair off into five sections with clips.
6. Flat iron each section with your Solia 'till hair is totally straight.
7. When done, again add none of your Frizzness, dime amount.
8. Brush through hair.
9. Lightly spray a misty hairspray over the finished product, to hold.
10. Brush again, so hair isn't hardened by the hairspray.

Before you begin to style your hair with the Solia flat iron, put heat protection in your hair. The CHI Silk Infusion is a great product, just put a a little into the palms of your hands and work it through your whole hair. Any heat prtectant will work. You can buy them at local stores in the shampoo or styling product section. Never hold the flat iron to long on one section always glide it fast down the section, do that untill straight or with any style.

If you take a shower in the morning put a dime size amount of olive oil in your hair before you go to bed (optional, just makes hair extra soft and silk). In the morning wash your hair with a decent shampoo and conditioner. Towel dry, spray Tresemme Heat Tamer Protective Spray for protection against the heat that can damage hair. Then put a nickel size amount of Tresemme Staightening Gel into the palm of your hands(rub into hands) and work through the hair from the middle of the hair and down to the ends. Blow dry your hair and brush through it once in a while. When it's dry, put half of your hair up in a clip. Straighten that half with your Solia flat iron. When you're done with that, lightly spray your hair with Tresemme Two Ultra Fine Mist Hair spray, brush through that half of hair. Let the other half of your hair down from your clip and do the same thing, straighten, lightly spray and brush through. The last thing is to put a dime size amount of Dove Smooth & Soft Anti-Frizz Cream into the palm of your hands(rub into hands) and work through the hair, brush through one more time. A straightening tip is to go from the root to the bottom of the 2 inch section you gathered to straighten, do that until that peice is straightened, but be carefull not to burn yourself.
