I purchased the Solia ceramic flat iron and have to say it's amazing! I previously had a wider "hot tools" flat iron that would char and sometimes pull my hair. I have had nothing but great results with the ceramic, it's smoother, no pulling and even makes my hair look healthier, not damaged. Well worth the investment, I totally recommend it!
no frizz!

I've never straightened my hair before but in the summer it gets so frizzy and i needed to do something about it! I bought this straightener by looking at the reviews and i've found that its all true! It's not a bad price and it really works great. It makes my hair not only straight, my smooth and shiny. :) its a great purchase for someone who doesnt want to spend a lot of money on something they wont use everyday.

I received my FlatIron the next day and it's an excellent product. Gets my hair straight and silky. I'm African-American female and I'm in the process of growing out my perm so it does a good job of attacking the roots and taming the ends. It was a good investment.
The Best Ever

This is the best flat iron ever! I have frizzy, unruly hair and living in Florida doesn't help. But this appliance leaves my hair straight and shiny and is extremely easy to use. Well worth the investment!

I am very happy with my new solia. I live by the ocean and have curly hair (so normaly I am frizz city) but this iron straightens my hair for the entire day. Worth every penny.

I love the temp. control. Does not dry my hair out and it gives an excellent flip on the ends if desired. My hair stays straight all day !!!
It is really great!

I've been using my Solia for a couple of weeks now. It has been excellent. It heats very fast and is very smooth; it doesn't pull my hair like my conair did. The Solia is definitely excellent for the price. If you can't decide between the Chi and the Solia. Go for the Solia. Same results for less (plus the Solia looks better).
Nice iron, but not for medium length thick hair

This is a great iron, heats up quickly, easy to handle, well designed and made. But it did not work well with my thick long hair. My hair is about 2 inches below my shoulders and I found that the plates weren't big enough. It straightened my hair without any problems, but it took longer than I expected. So I exchanged my iron for the 1 1/4" plate Solia iron, and that worked out a lot better.

I tried the Wigo flat iron from this website and it sucked, so I was a little weary about buying another one but I looked around in my town and all the flat irons were well over 100 dollars and I didn't want to spend that money on a iron that I had no reviews on so after some research on this site I found that the Solia 1 inch had great reviews and decided to try it out. It works awesome! No pulling at the little hairs and straightens in one swipe. It heats up really fast also. If you have really thick hair ( my hair is thick but not curly thick) or if your hair is long I would probably go with a bigger model. This model works great for shorter lengths. I also noticed it took half the time that the Wigo took and made my hair extra soft. What's not to love?
WOW!!!!

Just got this iron 15 mins ago. Took it upstairs and it's like pure magic! This works so well I'm in shock. I read many postive reviews here and thought I'd give it a try-best $85 ever spent. It's smooth, heats up super fast and easy to use. My hair frizzes up alot in this humidity and it's completely gone now. I LOVE THIS IRON!!!!!!!!! My stylist is looking for a new iron and I'm going to recommend it to her.
Heats up like a dream!

My first flat iron was a 1 1/2 inch Hot Tools Ceramic Flat Iron. It worked well for my long hair, but after I cut my hair short (5 or so inches long) my old iron's flaws became very apparent. It heated up so unevenly that it could not straiten or de-frizz my hair at its hottest setting.
Enough was enough. I decided to take my chances and spend a little more money for the Solia. This iron is well worth the $85. My hair is completely strait, soft and frizz-free (a real miracle for my hair in the D.C humidity).
I have noticed that the ends of my hair do dry out (but don’t split), but not nearly as much as with my old iron which didn't even get the job done.
By the way, it heats up in the time it takes you to count to 10, and flashes a light at you so you don't waste your time guessing.
My ends are fried

I am a hairstylist & I work with many flat irons, this one fried the ends of my hair. I found that it makes my hair feel dry & this flat iron does not get my hair smooth & silky. I would much rather go with a CHI flat iron...they rock!!
Great!

After going through 2 Chi Irons, my friend turned me onto this brand. Definitely an improvement. It heats up very quickly, and glides over the hair without pulling. It leaves mine and my clients' hair really soft and shiny! Also, it feels like it's of higher quality, so hopefully it won't fall apart like my Chi did. An added bonus is that the plates are blue, so everyone goes "Oooh, what's that?" when they see it!

i have went thru straiteners all the time and could never find the exact one that would do what i wanted, i wanted paper strait hair without friz and that would last a while, and i got it with this one. my hair would still be strait the next day after i slept and that made me happy!!! I would strongly recommend this straitener to anyone who needs strait hair to last thru whatever party!

I just got it in the mail a couple of days ago and have used it every day since! Its great and does a verrry good job. The only thing I'm having trouble with is using it to crimp, curl and flip(like its supposed to). This isnt the straightener's fault, of course, I just need to learn. Buy it!- You wont be disappointed.

My girls have a Revlon flat iron. Our hair dresser recommended a Hot Tool & say to use it as hot as we can. However, after reading the review on this website, I decided to order the Solia Professional Ceramic Ion Flat Iron (1"). I'm glad I did! My girls say it has cut the time in half! What used to take 45mins-1 hour now takes 20 mins! We're all happy! Thank you
