I got this iron as a gift just a little over two years ago and I absoulutly love it. I have very curly kinky ethnic hair and many irons that you can get at wal-mart and discount stores just did not work on my hair. This iron is perfect it gets my hair straight and keeps it that way until the next washing. Iwould definitly recommend this iron to anyone that wants to get their hair straight in a timely manner without causing it damage. THANX SOLIA!!!

I used to have the 0.5" Wee-Chi flat iron, but it stopped getting as hot after about 6 months, then it totally died right after a year. I was worried that the Solia's 0.75" plates would be too large for my short hair and burn my scalp, but it actually works WAY better than my expensive Chi ever did! I would highly reccomend this flat-iron to girls or guys with short hair who still want an ultra-straight look. My before and after photos speak for themselves!!! LOVE IT!!! :)
WOW!

I bought the Solia 3/4" flat iron a little over a month ago. I have hair to my shoulders, and when it drys, it gets all poofy and frizzy. I use my solia almost everyday. I love how soft my hair is after i use it, and it doesnt have that burnt smell. Usually after i straighten it i use Garnier Fructice Sleek and Shine hair serum. It helps with the poof. If i were you, i would definetly get this product!
females of color you need this

When I first got it in the mail for christmas I opened it right away. I have to say i didn't think it would work on my hair but it does. My hair was so silky soft,it felt like i got it done at a salon. I would say females of color this is a must. This is the flat iron you have to have it thre real deal. Not no fake ceramic iron. Theres nothing to loose trust me I haven't had a relaxer on my hair in like almost a year and it can really do wonders.
This is the best flat iron!

I purhased this flat iron about 2 years ago and its still working like new! i originally purchased this irson becuase my hair was out of control, dry and frizzy due to many color proccesses and bleachings. The solia enabled me to grow my hair out healthy while making it managable. my hair is now longer and extremely silky thanks to the solia . I use this flat iron after every washing , it is the best flat iron i have ever used, the (3/4) inch size is perfect for my short hair.
I love it so much that i recommended it to my stylist at the salon and my sister , they both love it better than the Chi. my stylist spread the word about this website and now many stylist's at my salon traded in their Chi for a Solia becuase of its multiple heat settings and versatility. ! the Best!!

this one works really well. it doesnt pull your hair at all and i have bangs so the skinny one helps a lot. i love it. it doesnt get extremley hott but its still great. i have really wavy frizzy hair and it smooths it very nicely and it stays all day. as long as it doesnt rain. haha
love it

i recently purchased the 3/4 solia flat iron, i had the 1' limited ed. pink and i love it but its starting to die on me and i figured that this one would work just as well, sadly enough it doesnt heat up enough i have to go over the hair about five times before it looks semi straight =/ dont waste ur money on this one spend the extra 10 bucks or so and get the best seller ones!
These are OK

I ordered the 3/4" Solia last Monday and received them 3 days later. This is my first expensive brand of flat irons, and I'm really not impressed. I am thinking about sending these back and purchasing the FHI brand. There okay, as you can tell from the picture, I have color and I also have a perm. I used the Solia on the 370 setting, I had to go thru my hair more than once, as my hair was a little frizzy. I guess they are good for the price, however, I cant tell the difference between my Solia's or my $30 babybliss ceramic flatiron...I am a bit disappointed.
Amazing for Black hair, just don't use wet

I have Black/African American/ethnic hair. VERY very curly. Also, I am transitioning between chemically straightened hair and naturally curly hair, so I have both curly hair (at the roots) and permanently straight hair (at the ends). This iron, even at high temperatures does not burn my hair. The high temperatures aren't really needed, though. It does a professional job at a reasonable price, compared to other irons. I believe that it can be used when hair is damp, but that didn't work well for me and my stylist doesn't recommend it. It actually made my hair very frizzy when I tried to comb it. I would HIGHLY recommend it.
Great straightener that lasts!!!

I have been happy with my Solia for almost 4 years now!! I decided on the Solia after hearing so many friends complain about having to replace their CHIs! My Solia has taken a lot of abuse lol. My 2 sisters, my brother and myself all use this straightener daily and I am so surprised it still works. Folica has the best prices too! The only thing wrong after having it for so long is that it doesn't heat up as fast as it did before. It has also been dropped so many times and looks beat up. I have finally decided to replace it and I'm trying out the Sedu. Hopefully it won't let me down... my Solia certainly hasn't!

Don't get it, unless you want your hair burned off. Folica won't post my reviews, why? You be the judge.

i use to own a chi && it just didnt get hot enough, so i bought this one. it gets hot enough to get the job done faster but w/o frying my hair. it works alot better than the chi for flipping hair.
Not recommended.

I bought this iron because my sister took her solia 1" iron when she moved. I bought this because of my short hair, i thought it would be the best. However, after doing my hair i realized that was not the case. As someone mentioned before, it is very easy to burn yourself with this because the plates extend to the edge of the "plastic". It did not straighten my hair as fast as the 1" one, and took many times to straighten one spot. It also does not have the dynamic alignment system it says it has on the box. It heats up very fast, but that might be the only thing good about this iron. I am returning it for the 1" because i found that 3/4 just takes longer to straigten hair, regardless if its short or long.
Its good while it lasts

The solia was the first straightner i ever got. My hair is curly && frizzy at the same time. The Solia works amazing wonders to my hair. I recomend you use a deep conditioner in your hair to keep it from drying out, like my hair did. The solia broke on me after about a year and a half. then i returned it for another solia. the "new" solia cam back and it worked perfectly for about 2 weeks and then it never turned on again. So thats why the solia is only good while it lasts.= ]]
Wonderful from the start!!!!!!

I was looking for a way to straighten my hair with out a relaxer or hot comb. So I went loking for a flat iron that would give the same effect. After everyone's reviews and looking at the pics I purchased the Solia. That was in February , and it is still working like a charm. The more you use it the better you'll get.
Great hair tool

I have short hair and Solia's 3/4" plates flat iron works perfectly with my hair. I can straight my hair or use this flat iron to flip out my hair and it works perfectly well. I would highly recommend this flat-iron to everybody with short hair.
