ok if your the type that is consitering buying this product based on the reviews dont becouse i know for a fact that alot of the reviews are fake and made by people who havent even tryed it!!
I know this becouse if they really tryed it they would not be saying that kind of stuff like it works great becouse it is one of the worst straighteners in the world
haha jkjkjkjkjk it works hella good well pretty good and it gets the job done. it has really high settings so that it will work good for all types of hair, even hair like mine vary curly and thick.

After reading many product reviews, I decided to give this Solia flat iron a try. I had never heard of this brand before, but the majority of the customer reviews seemed to rate this product highly. I purchased this for my daughter who straightens her long hair almost daily. The first time she used this, she thought that it wasn't gripping her hair hard enough to straighten it. With her old straightener, she had to grip and squeeze hard in order for it to do its job. She was amazed at how it glided through her hair and she was done straightening in 20 minutes. It took her twice as long with the old one. After using this for a few days, my daughter deemed that this was indeed a good product. I ended up ordering another Solia for my older daughter who will be leaving for college in a few months. You have two very satisfied customers!

I know there a lot of people who are saying that this product works wonders and thats just what made me buy it. BUT! It doesnt! It did not straighten my hair at all and i had to go over it many many time which fryed it even more. and the ends of hair! it leaves them frizzy and horrible! DO NO WASTEYOUR MONEY ON THIS IF YOU HAVE REALLY THICK CURLY FRIZZY HAIR b/c it only works well on sightly WAVY hair and thats it!

I really love this product, it really does work for long, thick curly hair. I am mixed so finding a flat iron that is hot enough to press out my hair is the biggest issue with flat irons. But this really gets as hot as you want it. If I really want it straight, I get smaller sections of hair, and use a fine tooth comb and comb through first and then follow with the straightener. Good buy for ethnic hair.

I've used many other flat irons, including Chi, which I kept hearing was the best of them all...But, my Solia is my absolute favorite. I have extremely curly, thick hair...Italian...and it is amazing what it can do in such a short time!! I've had mine for two years and it is still going strong! Great investment!

I'm satisfied with my solia. I was worried about what people said about it not reducing volume, but it made my hair straight and not poofy. I do get static I don't know if its becuase of the iron though. The biggest COMPLAINT is that its not very ergonomic and it since I have thick/curly/wavy/outofcontrol hair and a lot of it, it kind of wears on my wrists and you have to hold down on the plates really hard becuase of the aligning plates it has. I'm satifed with the product, although I would probably buy a different iron next time to see if there are better options.

This is THE flat iron. Although i was sketchy because i have extremely thick hair, and i felt the bigger the plates the better the iron, i was scared of purchasing this "smaller" one. I was wrong. It works fast and great. A++++

Really happy with this product. I first thought that it would be too big, and that I may have wanted the smaller sized one.. but its perfect since I do have thick hair. I am really happy and should have bought this sooner! (Only if I could buy time to straighten my hair! hahahah) Oh and it did get to me pretty quickly - being that I'm in Hawaii!

I love it - it is the best flat iron I ever bought - and I bought plenty - it leaves you hair soft, silky and straight - I have very curly hair and it looks greatand feels great after I flat iron it. I love it!!!! I never have to look for another flat iron again!

I waited a few weeks to ensure I was satisfied with this product before writing a review. I cannot say enough about it... it is the "BEST" flat iron, hands down I have ever owned! I got better results than at the salon!!! Today was the last bit of proof I needed since it is pouring down rain. My hair would generally last all of 5 minutes in a humid day and turn to what used to look like a bad perm. With the Solia flat iron my hair stays smooth and can withstand up to 80% humidity all day. I have thick, curly and unruly hair... before, blow-drying it and using cheap flat irons would not get me even close to the hair I have today. I must have spent $150 buying multiple flat irons hoping they would do the job and finally decided to just research a little and spend my money wisely by buying a professional product. This is definitely my best purchase ever and well worth every penny! Note: you should always use a flat iron styling product if you will be using the higher temperature settings. This will ensure that the heat burns the product instead of your hair and will give you even better results!

I ordered this iron on Sunday and got this today on Tuesday! Absolutely the fastest delivery of an appliance I've ever had. Of course, the UPS guy woke me up! I had washed my hair the night before and hadn't straightened it yet. So I ripped the straightener right out of the box, and it took me only 15 minutes to straighten my coarse, semi-wavy, and dry hair (compared to the usual 45). The results are nothing like I could've imagined. My hair is straight and smooth. This iron is Nothing like my Isinis, Hot tools or curlmaster irons (they are going to be given to my friends). I must say I was almost completely deterred by all of the nasty things some people were saying about this iron. I almost didn't buy it. I'm so glad I did. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I BOUGHT THIS FLAT IRON FOR MY DAUGHTER WHO IS HALF CAUCASIAN AND HALF AFRICAN-AMERICAN. HER HAIR IS SO CURLY AND WE HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING TO MAKE HER HAIR STRAIGHT,FLAT AND BEAUTIFUL AND THIS FLAT IRON IS THE ONLY ANSWER! SHE IS SO HAPPY WITH HER HAIR NOW AND I USE IT AS WELL. This item was purchased as a Christmas gift for my daughter. Only after the fact of me purchasing one for myself. After using the flat iron she stated " no other flat iron could compare to this". It makes your hair feel silky and keeps it straight even in the most humid places.(Ilive in Louisiana). Her friends come over just to borrow the flat iron because of its quality and the outcome of their hair. We would reccommend this item to everyone who has frizzy, fly-away hair.

I have been blowing my hair out on my own for years. I bought this iron to help speed up the time it took to do my hair. I had to use a straightening iron spray to help heat protect my hair. I found it made it greasy looking. I don't get the nice flip and body I get when I use just a blow dryer and round brush.

I happen to be an African-American female with very long, coarse, and KINKY hair. According to the product info, my hair didn't have to be perfectly dry and straight in order to use this flat iron, so, on the advice of a Folica.com representative, I bought it, thinking I could get rid of my heat-on-the-stove straightening comb (which I can't use because my father can't stanf the smell of burning hair)--what a mistake!
For one thing, the Solia totally failed to get the kinks from my hair, condemning me to permanently wearing a hat whenever I go out--and I used it at the highest setting! For another thing, even though I used it in my room, it produced that burnt-hair stink that roused my nosy father's suspicions--HE thought I was setting my room on fire again.

My daughters have naturally wavy hair, but because the current styles favor super-straight hair, we have struggled to smooth their hair out. We had a ceramic plate iron that was a superstore purchase, and it helped, but WOW, what a difference a professional product like this made! It not only smoothed their hair, but made it appear shinier and thinner, even (how?) so that they now have the look they've been wanting all along. My hair is not wavy, but it adds a sleekness and healthy glow that I love. The investment of purchasing this product was well worth it, many times over.

I've bought several flat irons in recent years, but this one is by far the best. It is worth every penny I paid for it. I only wish it were wider.
It heats up fast and stays hot. I never had to wait for it to reheat while I was doing my hair.
It takes me 45 minutes to flat iron my hair which is very long. That beats the hour plus it used to take. I am more than happy with this flat iron. It is the only one I will ever use from now on.

If you have real thick hair... this is the flat iron for you. I used it on my 7 year olds hair that is very thick and down to the middle of her back. It made her hair very silky with out a single tangle.
