This is my first flat iron. My hair has always looked thin, wavy, dry and dull--needing tons of "product" to look smooth. No more. A friend said, "don't skimp--get a good iron" so I chose this Solia (over the Sedu for the wider width and better price--no regrets). My hair is smooth and shiny in about 10 minutes of easy, fairly fast passes down my mid-back-length hair. For the first time EVER, people compliment my hair. WOW. And my ponytails are smooth, shiny and columnar, not a big spray! What a wonderful difference this has made!

My new Solia straightner came a few weeks ago, and it works amazingly well! I have extremely thick and curly hair, so the 1 3/4 in.seems to be getting the job done. Seriously,it cut my styling time in half and i have never gotten my hair this straight by myself. I would reccomend this to anyone!

I bought this flat iron as a present for my niece. She has thanked me time and time again since she got it on Christmas - she LOVES it! Her old flat iron constantly pulled her hair and either ripped it out or broke it in many places. She said this flat iron is just awesome -- it doesn't pull on her hair at all! The best part is that this flat iron leaves her hair very soft and she can wake up in the morning with her hair as straight as it was the day before and just as soft! Thank you for such a GREAT product!!

I love this flat iron so far; it makes straightening my hair a lot easier. It works best when hair is dry; doesn't seem to work to well when hair is damp.

I purchased the Solia Hair Straightner for my 11 year old niece for her Birthday. My Sister informed me that my niece uses it everyday - can use it on her own without help, and that she is absolutely in love with it. It staightens her hair beautifully. My niece has a natural bounce and wave to her hair and apparently had a cheaper model that did not work at all on her unruly hair. The fact that this one makes her hair perfectly straight and does not "fry" her hair is what makes it so great for her.
I found the price, compared to other models that claimed to do the same things, including the Chi Model which my daughter owns, to be a bit lower and it performs equally if not better. I would definitely purchase this product again for myself or some one else.

not only did it make my hair straight, it flattened my hair and seriosuly reduced the frizz...definetly good and is hard to burn urself with

I first purchased the Solia for myself and found it did exactly as the ad stated. After styling with the flat iron my hair is silky smooth with no fly-aways. I noticed that even on the most humid days (I live in Louisiana) that my hair stays as silky and smooth as when I first style it in the mornings. There is no hair breakage and the iron heats up in less than a minute...........a far cry from the tradtional flat iron.
To make a long story short I purchased the same flat iron as a Christmas present for my daughter because she was constantly taking mine to use for herself. I would encourage anyone who has naturally curly hair as I to buy this product. It is truly amazing!

Okay, I just got mine in today and I immediately straightened my hair and I LOVE IT! All the reviews were sooo right on. My hair feels soooo amazingly soft and straight without the frizz. I was skeptical at first, considering it was a bit pricey...but after my first use... so worth every penny. I am absolutely thrilled with this product and recommend it for anyone that's in the market for a flat iron. I think my favorite part would be the ease...I can run it through my hair without it getting caught and breaking and it's just so easy. I mean I sat there and straightened my hair in 20 minutes and that's with me watching Oprah at the same time. Anyhow, this is definitely worth a try!

the solia Hair straightener by far is the best one out there. When i was first going to buy a nice straightener there was all this hiye about the chi, but once i tried my cousins Chi i really wasnt impressed AT ALL! In fact i felt like it was compatible to my $25 hair straightener. After that i decided to buy the Solia and I loved it. It made my hair shinny and I could tell it wasnt damaging it either. My mom also tried it and she Loved it so much she decided to buy one for her self! Ive had mine for 2 years now and I love it just as much as i did when i first bought it. Im even buying my best friend a Solia for her birthday!

I just got my Solia two days ago in the mail. I think it works really well. It does leave my hair soft like the reviews said. I also notice that I have less frizzies. I think it is a really good product. But it is not AMAZING. It just does its job. However, it is way better than the average $20 straighteners that I used to use.

Ok, this is the best flat iron I've used, and I've used just about all of them. Straight, silky hair and quick. I had a Wigo and hated it. Solia is in a completely different league - awesome. For all you apprehensive people out there, don't hesitate to buy a Solia. Excellent investment.

I love this flat iron!!!!! I works great! My hair is long and tends to frizz...but this smooths it out perfectly!! I am actually buying another one for my sisters who are CONSTNATLY looking to borrow it!! There hair is very thick but it works just as well on their hair!!!!

I thought that i had the best straightener ever when i used the chi...but this is by far the best straightener! i never have a bad hair day anymore!my hairs always so silky and straight.. even when its very humid out here..and trust me in the south it is VERY humid.this is a GREAT christmas gift!

The product arrived within 5 days of me placing the order which was a big surprise. Unfortunately, the product did not make my hair as straight as anticipated and the heat made my hair very dry. But I was told that I needed to use hair styling products along with the flat iron for best results. My cousin had a professional hair salon flat iron her hair and the results were amazing, so I think I may need to give it another try and not give up so easily.

it does take less time to straighten your hair with this iron. i have corse, wavey, poofy asian hair. the plates almomst seem too smooth! it doesn't give your STICK straight - it's more of a natural softer straight. my hair felt healthier after using this iron - but i think an average flat iron could do the same. it's just if you want to protect your hair. i reccomend using biosilk.

This product straightens my hair with one "stroke" vs some of the others which took numerous times of going over the same section of hair. Also it has been much less damaging to my hair even though it gets hotter. I also like how the outside (by the plates) will not burn your hands if you accidentally move your fingers over the upper end of the outside of the iron.
