I was a bit unsure about paying this much for a flat iron but that changed after I used it the first time. I could not have chosen a better one. I was using a cheap flat iron from Wal-Mart and it left my hair super dry and it took a long time to straighten my hair. The solia cut my styling time almost in half and worked so much better. I have thick curly hair and it’s frizzy unless I put lots of product in it. I also use a heat protectant spray with my flat iron and this leaves/keeps my hair shiny and soft. I would recommend this flat iron to anyone who is looking for a new flat iron. It is definitely worth the money.

I have only had this flat iron for a little less than a month, but I am very pleased so far. I had the true ceramic pro before and was not very pleased with it. I had read good reviews on the solia flat iron and so far I feel I have made a good choice. I have really long, thick hair so the 1-3/4" helps!

Just got this flat iron,and it's really great. I've used a couple of different flat irons in the past (Chi, Wigo, Hot Tools) and this is definitely the best so far. It heats up really quickly and straighted my hair much faster than my last flat iron (Hot Tools Ceramic). I have pretty curly and frizzy hair, I didn't even need to use the highest heat setting. It also cut the time it takes to flat iron my hair in half.
The best thing about it is that the ceramic plates automatically adjust when you put pressure on them, so the flat iron doesn't pull or tug at your hair at all. I've noticed my ends are much smoother and seem healthier than before. I was deciding between this and the Sedu, and I'm definitely happy with my purchase, especially since it was approx $30 cheaper. Definitely worth every penny!!!

This is by far the best straightener I have owned-- and I have owned quite a few. My hair is not only long, thick and course, but wavy. This straightener works like a charm... You would think I was born with bone straight, silky hair. Great to use on damp hair--cuts out blow drying altogether...I highly recommend this to anyone who wants perfectly straight smooth hair.

I love my Solia iron. It gets extremely hot. I have very coarse, thick and hard to straighten hair, but it does the trick, and fast.

I bought the Solia 1-3/4" straightner. My Hair is wavy and thick.It works so well on my hair and it takes half the time to straighten,compared to my cheap 20.00 hair straightner. I think 98.00 with no shipping is well worth the cost. My hair stays so straight even after sleeping on it.Also,my hair is so soft and doesn't dry out anymore. I use Biosilk in combination with the straightner to help defend against drying out. No more bad hair days for me!

I bought my daughters this straightener last year to replace some other brand. Not only do they love it but all their friends find the need to straighten their hair when they hang out at our house because they love the straightener. Their hair always looks silky and never dried out. I just bought a second one for my oldest daughter to take to college because she kept taking the one at home back to school. No complaints. Great product. Their friends say it is better and quicker than the ones they have at home.

After buying 4 flat irons in the past (I always ended up returning them) any of those worked as great as this flat iron, you'll only need a little bit of styling hair products when using this iron. Im very happy with the results

I'm still learning how to use my flat iron, but I absolutely love it. I can use it on wet or dry hair and even on the highest settin it won't dry out my hair. It leaves a luster and shine that I love!! Lasts until I wet my hair; it doesn't frizz up on me, no matter the weather!! Did I say I LOVE IT!! Best investment I've made.

I had a vidal sassoon flat iron beofre and had to use lots of special shampoos and styling products to keep the frizz away but i would still get really frizzy and poofy hair by 2nd period!! so i went online and saw the sedu and solia. after about a week of thinking and comparing i decided to go with the solia because it seemed like the same thing but cheaper and some different cooler features..i got in about 3 weeks and it was just crazy how my hair looked just like in the morning and it was around 8 o clock at night and it had been sprinkling at the park where I was. its real good and I use it with my Biosilk which is on sale at costco real cheap!!! well i smooth it over after i iron it in around 6 sections cuz i have thick hair. im Latina of course..well if you're latina and you have curly hair then this is your best bet!!!its worth the money alright!!

I purchased this product for my sisters hair because she has thinner hair than mine so i thought it would work best for her. But when i gave it to her for christmas i tried it on my thicker hair, and it worked amazing. I was surprised by how well a straightner without a comb built in worked!

I absolutely love this flat iron!!!! I cannot tell you how many i have tried before. I got my first one 5 years ago and it was a conair, it was horrible. Since then I have been getting better & better ones, and this one is by far the best. In the past, my hair actually broke one of my flat irons. I have unimaginably thick & wavy-ish hair. This flat iron straightens it in only 20 minutes. I love it & so do my friends who have used it. I strongly recommed it to everybody.

I got my solia not too long ago and i love it i cant wait for my broken hair to grow out so i can wear it down it is the soloution to my course hair im never ruining my hair again by using a relaxer when this works better!

I just bought this Solia 1 3/4 inch hair straightener and have now used it twice. I feel that it works pretty well. It is a pretty good hair straightener, but not an excellent one. It made my hair have a little bit of static. I have used the CHI Turbo and Sedu hair straighteners and feel that the Sedu works the best among the three. I recommend the Sedu. The smooth plates make the hair a little bit shinier. It doesn't seem to dry my hair out as much.
