I first purchased the Solia for myself and found it did exactly as the ad stated. After styling with the flat iron my hair is silky smooth with no fly-aways. I noticed that even on the most humid days (I live in Louisiana) that my hair stays as silky and smooth as when I first style it in the mornings. There is no hair breakage and the iron heats up in less than a minute...........a far cry from the tradtional flat iron.
To make a long story short I purchased the same flat iron as a Christmas present for my daughter because she was constantly taking mine to use for herself. I would encourage anyone who has naturally curly hair as I to buy this product. It is truly amazing!

Okay, I just got mine in today and I immediately straightened my hair and I LOVE IT! All the reviews were sooo right on. My hair feels soooo amazingly soft and straight without the frizz. I was skeptical at first, considering it was a bit pricey...but after my first use... so worth every penny. I am absolutely thrilled with this product and recommend it for anyone that's in the market for a flat iron. I think my favorite part would be the ease...I can run it through my hair without it getting caught and breaking and it's just so easy. I mean I sat there and straightened my hair in 20 minutes and that's with me watching Oprah at the same time. Anyhow, this is definitely worth a try!

the solia Hair straightener by far is the best one out there. When i was first going to buy a nice straightener there was all this hiye about the chi, but once i tried my cousins Chi i really wasnt impressed AT ALL! In fact i felt like it was compatible to my $25 hair straightener. After that i decided to buy the Solia and I loved it. It made my hair shinny and I could tell it wasnt damaging it either. My mom also tried it and she Loved it so much she decided to buy one for her self! Ive had mine for 2 years now and I love it just as much as i did when i first bought it. Im even buying my best friend a Solia for her birthday!

I just got my Solia two days ago in the mail. I think it works really well. It does leave my hair soft like the reviews said. I also notice that I have less frizzies. I think it is a really good product. But it is not AMAZING. It just does its job. However, it is way better than the average $20 straighteners that I used to use.

Ok, this is the best flat iron I've used, and I've used just about all of them. Straight, silky hair and quick. I had a Wigo and hated it. Solia is in a completely different league - awesome. For all you apprehensive people out there, don't hesitate to buy a Solia. Excellent investment.

I love this flat iron!!!!! I works great! My hair is long and tends to frizz...but this smooths it out perfectly!! I am actually buying another one for my sisters who are CONSTNATLY looking to borrow it!! There hair is very thick but it works just as well on their hair!!!!

I thought that i had the best straightener ever when i used the chi...but this is by far the best straightener! i never have a bad hair day anymore!my hairs always so silky and straight.. even when its very humid out here..and trust me in the south it is VERY humid.this is a GREAT christmas gift!

The product arrived within 5 days of me placing the order which was a big surprise. Unfortunately, the product did not make my hair as straight as anticipated and the heat made my hair very dry. But I was told that I needed to use hair styling products along with the flat iron for best results. My cousin had a professional hair salon flat iron her hair and the results were amazing, so I think I may need to give it another try and not give up so easily.

it does take less time to straighten your hair with this iron. i have corse, wavey, poofy asian hair. the plates almomst seem too smooth! it doesn't give your STICK straight - it's more of a natural softer straight. my hair felt healthier after using this iron - but i think an average flat iron could do the same. it's just if you want to protect your hair. i reccomend using biosilk.

This product straightens my hair with one "stroke" vs some of the others which took numerous times of going over the same section of hair. Also it has been much less damaging to my hair even though it gets hotter. I also like how the outside (by the plates) will not burn your hands if you accidentally move your fingers over the upper end of the outside of the iron.

I love my new Solia flat iron. I have no complaints. It works great. No pulls or snags, heats up quick, its awesome! Not like the Bion I had purchased before, that was about a $100 more and it was awful. I was very disapointed. But I am very happy and satisfied with the Solia.

I have been straightening my hair for probably 5-6 years now. I have gone through many many different straightners. I have used straightners ranging from about 25$-150$. I usually straighten my hair everyday. I wanted to purchase a new straightner because I felt that my other one wasn't doing the job it did when I first got it. So I researched and researched on which straightner to buy. I decided to get the solia 1 3/4 inch. I love this straightner. I have never seen my hair as straight as this one gets it. I have very very thick semi-course hair. Along with that fact that my hair is wavy/curly, this straightner took to my hair it like it was no problem. It makes my hair so soft and smooth. It also does not snag hair like ALL of my past straightners have done. I would reccomend this straighner to anyone who is looking for results. It is AWESOME!!

This is a great flat iron. I love the way it makes my hair feel. It has never been so soft! This is one great flat iron that is great for all hair types. I have fine, naturally curly/wavey/frizy hair, and this flat iron does the trick! My only problem is that it is not that good for the shorter hair around my face. It is difficult to straighten it without having a funky crease. I would probably buy the more narrow one next time.

I am an african american female with long thick curly hair. I also have blond highlights, which make my hair dry, especiallay when heat styled. I was very skeptical about buying a flat iron for almost 100 bucks from the internet. I was going to buy that one on the infomercial on tv, but i decided to research it first and there were a lot of mixed reviews. I have had this flat iron since march. I had it for about 2 or 3 motnhs and it fell on the floor and broke! I contacted the folica customer service and they said to ship it in and they would replace it and I got a brand new one the very next day!! I have used several flat irons and have gotten my hair professionally straightened with a flat iron for $60. I have to say this is the BEST flat iron i have ever used. It truely does cut my hair styling time in half. This is honestly like no other. and it lasts all week until I am ready to wash my hair again. And I can create curls even with the 1-3/4" inch iron. It leaves my hair silky and healthy feeling. I have to admit to get the true salon look it did take me a few months to perfect, but now I realize you need a styling product to get really great results. I use a hair serum and hair oil and I really do look like I have my hair professionally done all the time. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone. Great buy!!

I recently bought a Solia 1 3/4 inch iron. I recommend this size iron to anyone with lots of hair to cover. It straightens my hair so well that it sometimes looks limp and lifeless! My hair is naturally fro frizzy ...so I guess I welcome the sleek flat look to the ever so clean and bouncy friz fro. It's comfortable to use and for all those that said the plates move...I can't tell. It seems super sturdy.

Wow. I just received mine on Friday and waited until last night to use it. I am African-American and desperately in need of a relaxer touch-up. In all fairness, my hair is more wavy than kinky but is VERY resistent to straightening. Well, I could not believe how beautiful, silky and lustrous my hair was last night after using this iron. It glided through my hair with no resistance at all. My hair looked like I went to a salon! Last night I wrapped it before I went to bed and this morning when I woke up I couldn't BELIEVE how it looked! The style was still there all I had to do was unwrap it. I'm giving all of my other flat irons away! Thanks SOLIA!
