My hair is a mess! Its naturally curly frizzy, ugly and very hard to maintain. My previous flat iron was a rusk one which actually worked well but I think the Solia flat iron is my favorite! It works very well but it does cause damage. Just make sure you use a leave in treatment and some heat protection.

I already have a straightener of my own, not a very common one that I've seen around (GA-MA ITALY) but my sister got a SOLIA for christmas, so I decided to try it out. It arrived here in 3 days, delivered right to the door. I like the straightener a lot, it leaves the hair soft and shiny, which is definately something someone should look for in a straightener, instead of one which damages and leaves the hair in knots. I really liked this straightener, and the best part about it is that it isn't THAT expensive. compared to my flat iron that was $200.. and it works!
If you want something that's inexpensive and works VERY well, I recommend this flat iron.

I have very frizzee hair and usually I have to run a straightener through it about 3 or 4 times before I get the straight sleek look but with the Solia I only have to go through once and it saves me a lot of time, this product is worth the money.
This straightner is awesome.

I was a bit skeptical about buying something as expensive as a hair straightener online, but I live in a small town with not a lot of stores and online seemed the easiest, fastest, and most efficient way to go. I've had my Solia for almost a year and it still works as good as the day I got it in the mail. I was a little worried that it would stop working or break with the numerous amount that I use it, because I've heard of Chi's breaking after about 6 months of extensive use, but the Solia is extremely reliable! Whether you're trying to make curly locks straight or get rid of annoying frizz, the Solia Flat Iron is definitely the best way to go.
very satisfied!

I've had the solia for about 3 months now. Before i got the iron i remember reading reviews for this iron and thinking wow this is really something good for the money. This summer i saved up my babysitting money and bought it. For someone who lives in central new york where you never know what the wheather is going to be this is great. No matter if its hot or cold out this iron works great and i would reccomend it to anyone.Espically if you flat iron your hair everyday and i dosent fry your hair either.

Not only was I excited that my Solia arrived in less than 48 hours but it is excellent. Especially when you compare it to the horrible Conair I had been using (it was old, the top plastic was broken, and it had weird burnt looking marks on the plates) This doesn't pull my hair which is a BIG plus. My hair is wavy/poofy and it makes my hair nice and smooth. I love it. Definitely a great investment.

I bought the solia because I thought it would be amazing. I have thick, curly, frizzy, dry, annoying hair. The solia takes a long time to straighten compared to when my stylist uses a chi. I'd reccomend a CHI for anyone who can afford it, and has thicker hair and less time. For anyone who doesn't see the point in buying such an expensive styling tool, the solia is great. I'm impressed that my hair doesn't friz in such a wet climate as Vancouver. It does straighten, is pretty fast heating up, but can be a little fussy. I haven't experienced any dammage to my hair so far, but I use a relatively expensive heat protection product, kms flat out. The two work great together! Definetly recomend this product to anyone who isn't counting on a daily straighten, I don't think this iron can handle that. Also, I don't think the heat is really all that even... but it works.
Very Satisfied!

all i can say, is this flat iron is freakin amazing! i don't have to run it over my hair multiple times, my hair comes out incredibly straight and soft, it heats up fast, it doesn't pull your hair - even a few strands of hair... i can't believe this straightener only costs $88! and i was about to spend $50 more on a CHI! this is an amazing straightener. i highly recommend it!

The solia's customer reviews and its price is what got my attention. The product is great it works wonders on my hair which is extremly curly. The only downside that i can think of is it takes 2-4 min to really heat up. But if you can remember to plug it in and do some makeup first you'll never know the difference. Plus i got the heat pad for free and i LOVE it!. Its great, i dont have to worry where i sit it down. Honestly i love this product and i am so happy i commited to buying it! Look at my pics to see the difference, mind you that i was walking all day on a rainy and windy day at a canon in Quebec City, But i still think it looks great!

I have used my Solia straightener for over a year and a half and it still works amazingly!
My hair isn't incredibly curly like everyone elses, its naturally straight, but get bumps from ponytails and tucking my hair behind my ears...so i straighten it every day to keep this from happening.
I've used my friends CHI's before, and they work really great, but you dont know what temperature they're at and they seem to have little parts break off easily.
I definitely reccomend the Solia though, it higher quality for cheaper, and it gets as hot as 450 degrees.
good deal

This is an amazing flat iron, but its not the best in the whole world. There could be better. It slides through your hair really easy, and makes it flat for a long time, which is pretttyy swweeett. haha. It doesnt fluff back up until you take your next shower, and it doesnt take forever to flat iron your hair.
I know the pictures are bad quality, my dad dropped my digital camera in the ocean...=(
Folica is the best...So is Solia.

First and foremost, I have to applaud Folica on their customer service and shipping. I ordered the iron with regular free shipping one day, and received it via UPS the next. I'm biracial, black and white, and my hair can be quite unruly. My hair in its natural state is VERY curly, the kind of curl that is not ringlet, and that you can not get a comb through. I usually get my hair done professionally at a salon who uses marcel stove irons. I did my research and the Solia gets the hottest for the best price. 450 degrees does the trick. It's great, and I recommend it for anyone who can work with that type of heat. For those with a little curl or wave, use a lower setting, especially if you're not used to working with a flat iron. Hope this helps...Good LUCK! Thanks Folica!

I wanted to wait, at least a good 3 months. Now i can say i am satisfied. I had The T3, Sedu and many more. T4 NO GOOD! Burns your hair..bad. Sedu, not bad, but it did burn my hair. I have VERY thick curly coarse spanish hair. I got the Solia 1-1/4 inch. Its great. It really does the job. Sadly, i don't think anyone has come up with an iron that does not burn your hair 100%. The solia burns the least. If you decide to buy one, trust ME. i am VERY picky....CHOOSE THE SOLIA! U WON'T REGRET IT! good luck girls!!!(and boys too) :)
Awesome straightener...I use it at the salon I work at!

I researched straighteners prior to purchasing this one. This was the only one that had SO MANY reviews. It has been one of the best purchases I have made. I recently graduated from cosmetology school and have started working in a salon. We sell another brand of straighter but it doesn't work as well and it pulls hair. This straighter is totally awesome. One of the other stylist has purchased her own instead of me doing her hair when she gets into work!! While in school I used it on ethnic hair and it made the girls hair like silk. She was so impressed by what the straightener did for her hair she made me write down the info so she could purchase her own!
