I am very pleased with this product. Heats up in no time. Makes hair silky smooth in a single pass or 2, depending on amount of curl/frizz. It works on damp and dry hair. I have also used the Chi and found that to be great as well. I used to spend an hour blow drying my hair and straightening it. It was quite a chore. I did a LOT of reading and comparing before I bought the Solia. The carrying case that comes from Folica is very convenient as well.

I love it. It works so well and heats up very fast. It takes me only 20 minutes to do all of my hair, which is medium length. Still leaves my hair a little bit frizzy, but probably because my hair is damaged.
Well worth it!

I was very pleased with the delivery timing and the flat iron itself. It smooths my hair without being static-y. It heats up fast too! I love the color as well! Although I do wish I would have purchased the wider one.

this straightener is tiny and lightweight so you can easily pack it for travel..heats up so fast and gets very hot! I have thick curly hair and i can get it pin straight and frizzless very quickly!

My wife, Michele, got her hair cut before the holidays and experimendted iwth going back to bangs (or at least partial). She wasn't thrilled with the hair cut, but when I presented her with this ceramic iron (and used it) she changed her mind completely. She was concerned that weather would make managing hte cut impossible, but ever since she's used the iron she's been on cloud nine.

I just purchased this flat iron about a month ago and its by far the best one I have ever had. I have had every flat iron imaginable and this one exceeded my expectations. Its totally reasonable with regards to price and works wonders. I recommend to anyone who has owned as many flat irons as I have. I am a Solia user for life! :)

It works okay, but I wasn't as impressed as the others who wrote their review. It doesn't make my hair as silky as I thought and the results for me with pretty course and thick hair are not very dramatic, which means I don't really use it as much as I thought I would. I've used others that make my hair texture silkier.

I owned a 1/2 inch Solia iron and decided to buy this other size, in the hope that I will get my hair done quicker. I have coarse hair, shoulder length. Actually, the 1 1/4 iron is so heayv that I get tired using it. The 1/2 size was a lot easier to use, got closer to the roots, and it was a lot lighter. For those with medium length hair, I wouldn't recommend buying this size, but a smaller one. Solia is a great iron overall.

I received this about a month ago and it does wonders! Heats up in 20sec and works even when my hair is slightly damp. I have asian hair but it makes it straight like a pin. Also curls well!

this is a really great straightener! For a white girl i have really really curly hair. and this straightener works really well! my hair is really thick so when i straightener i curl it a bit so it looks more natural. anyway i love this straightener and it glides through really easily. ill try to post some more before and after pics.

I've tried and owned several different flat irons and this is by far the best. Straightens better and faster than the others plus doesn't seem to do as much damage to my hair. Have even tried a Chi flat iron (owned by a friend) and didn't like it nearly as well as this one. This is also the one that my hairdresser uses. Love it!

I have had this flat iron for over a year now. It has made my hair straight and silky just like it was supposed to.I get compliments on my hair all the time. I use this product everyday almost since september 2006 when I got it. But as of today Jan. 6. it quit working. It will turn on and then just go off. not sure whats wrong with it. I would suggest this flat iron to you, but if you want one that will last a long time you may want to try something else.

I wish I had a picture because I just can't stop playing with my hair it's so smooth and soft and shiny. Ladies, I'm African American and I live in Atlanta (aka humidity central) I've been outside all day and my hair is still better than when I was going to the expensive salons. I work in a restaurant in front of a HUGE oven that always reduced my hair to a puff but today you can't even tell that I was in front of it for SIX hours!! Save your money save your time and stay home and do it yourself!! I was a skeptic but trust me just buy it you won't regret it later and the diffrence between it and that cheep flat iron you're using now is amazing !
p.s. the free stuff is great the flat iron did most of the work but the free biolage silk drops made it feel softer and smell great !

i bought my off the internet, & i read some reviews and i was like yeah i doubt this truley is as great at they make it seem. like yeah it's probley just an average straightener so i bought it to see what it was like & it turned out to work amazing. my hair has never looked so good or been so shiny it doesn't pull hair and it heats up in seconds out of the many hair straighteners i've had this one has been through alot and still in tip top condition working perfect i've had it for like past 6 monthes so far and it's worked the same as when i just pulled it out of the package for anyone looking for a great straightener i highly suggest this one. it straightened my thick curly hair in 10 minutes which use to take 45. it also flips curls or puts waves in your hair you can also straighten your damp or dry hair without it frying up your hair BUY IT NOW, YOU WOUN'T REGRET IT!!!!

wow!!!! i love this flat iron. my hair is very thick,frizzy, highlighted, and juss an over all mess. my before pic is me w/ out doing anything to my hair the only thing i did was brush it. with nothing in it, it was toatlly natural there. i would recommend a heat protector tho just because of the heat. but i love this flat iron. i have a hot tools flat iron but it is juss relly bulky and this one is perfevt...i love it!!!!

I purchased the Solia 1-1/4 inch a couple months ago, and I love it. It gives me a healthy shine. No more split ends! Whenever I purchase styling tools, I order on Folica, that's the only place now. Folica has great service, no problems.

I've had this straightener for a little more than 6 months. It is an amazing straightener! Friends who own chi's are jealous of how it has a temp. setting so it doesn't fry, heats up faster, and is sooo much better! My friend let me try a chi, and it fried my hair! CHI's suck compared to this!=]
it has gone through airports, airplanes, and many drops (oops. hehe) and it still works so well!
Do not get a chi. Solia > Chi.
I love this product! Silk smooth, straight hair, and some boys can't stop stroking it!=]
