This is the best flat iron I've ever used. It heats up quickly and does a great job! It even works great on my daughter's very curly hair.

I have medium hair (not super thick and not thin) but kind of on the fine side with very little wave to it. This straightener is really nice and doesn't feel like it's damaging to my hair. Would recommend!

I have very thick , coarse, long hair. Not only is this straightener fast, it is very effective. I have gotten so many compliments from strangers on the shine and beauty of my hair. STRANGERS, out of the blue. I have since showed it to my hairdresser and several friends and they all agree, this is the best they have seen.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE CHI!

The best iron EVER!=]
I got it almost 7 months ago, and ever since I've had super straight, shiny, managable hair!
I've tried the chi once or twice, and it pulled hairs and fried it! my friend's chi broke in only 4 months! and its only been in her house! my solia has been on a couple of flights, and works fine!
Works just as well as the sedu, so why pay $20-$30 more?
I use heat protection spray along with this, and have rarely seen split ends!(my stylist even noticed hardly any split ends!=])

I have gone through about 4 flat irons and this one is the best by far. It makes my hair feel soft and healthy, and it is fast! I have LONG hair (past my bottom)and it is thick too, and I get my hair done in 20-30 minutes because it doesn't lose heat as you go, as I have experienced before. Great product.

ive had this iron for 2 years now and its starting to smell really bad whenever i use it.. like burnt hair... even if i use it onthe lowest heat setting and i clean it after every use. also it has started to take longer to heat up. BUT.. it is an amazing product. i have naturally crazy hair and this iron makes my hair so shiny and straight and healthy looking. it is definitley worth the price

I love this product!
I have a good deal of thick, curly hair and have never been able to find a straightener that really "did the job" for more than an hour or so.
But this one did the trick!
I don't straighten my hair that often,
I'm amazed at how soft and healthy my hair comes out feeling when I do.
I would highly recommend the Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron over a chi anyday.
I have friends that, after using my Solia, wish they could get their money back from buying a chi so that they could buy one like mine. (At a cheaper price, to boot.)
It's of an undeniably wonderful quality.
I'm very, very pleased with my purchase.

I used a friend's CHI straightener and loved the look. Folica.com was really helpful in selecting an iron that works well at a good price. The Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron works well and quickly.

Honestly? I'm not all that thrilled with the Solia. I was so excited when I received it in the mail, and i wanted to try it out right away. It turned on fine, and heated up instantly, but when it was time to actually straighten, I was upset. It took me just as long to straighten it as it takes to straighten my hair with my cheap $15 straightener (about an hour). It made my hair look dull, and dry. I used a serum and a heat protectant spray, yet it looked worse than it does when I straighten it with my other straightener. I am going to send it back tomorrow. Besides, straight hair isn't "in" anymore.

I have used many products througout my life, and this is the only one that has made my hair PERFECT! I would not say i have unmanagable hair, but there is no straightener that has ever been able to keep my hair straight. I have cute little ringlets but they do not fit my face. In the past i have spent up to $500 on straighteners but nonf of them satisfied me. The moment I got the straightener, I was amazed. It worked VERY well and I will never switch back to the CHI or any of the other straighteners I have used. Buy this product! My friend also has this product and she has unmanagably curly hair. She says she loves it and I have never seen her hair so straight. Oh and I forgot to mention, I live in New Orleans where the humidity is unbelievable. In the summer there is like 99% humidity but it does not effect my hair. My hair still stays straight with this iron.

Alrite... I bought this flat iron because of all of the pictures and wow comments. But I learned that it wasn't all of the talk. I am an African American teen with a perm and was looking for a professional flat iron that would give me a right-out-of-the-shop look after I washed my hair. But this flat-iron only made my hair stiff-straight. It didn't move at all, even when the wind blew. It was some-what shiny and really smooth and silky, but it became really stiff. So if you are an Afican American I don't think you should get this flat-iron.

I never write reviews, but I always read them... Since I have been so pleased with this iron, I thought that I should contribute to the rave reviews it receives. My hair isn't terribly curly, but it is rather frizzy and unruly. I color my hair and I am getting some grays, so I worry about damaging the colored hair and doing nothing to the wild grays that poke out from time to time. This iron smooths my hair, making it look shiny and healthy. I have never used it with the heat setting all the way up and it works wonders. I am happy with this product!
Should have bought this years ago!

I have had the Solia for 2 months now, and I am absolutely thrilled with it. It warms up so quickly and does not pull my hair when I use it. I have thick, course red hair and it works wonders on it. There is no comparison between it and my old cheapie Revlon - I should have bought this years ago!

I did plenty of research regarding flat irons before I bought one. I chose the Solia because it had the best reviews even better then the Chi. I bought my Solia in October. So far I LOVE IT!! I hope it holds out to be as good as I read. I have naturally curly hair and it straightens it to a tee. It leaves my hair looking healthy. If you want a flat iron that works well I would recommend this a Solia.
Used this Iron for about 3 years.. maybe longer...

I love it! i'm almost tempted to buy something else for a change..It's kinda like why mess with a good thing?! Haha I just want a change maybe I will cut my hair..who knows. The only problem I have ever had is occasionally a piece of hair gets caught in the plates, and it snags a piece of hair..ouch! Haha other than that it's been a blessing for my hair. like i said this thing has lasted me forever it has prob paid for it's self 50 times over for what it would cost to goto a salon. ..I have used it so much the wires are starting to show under the black cord coating..oh well it still works like a charm. Maybe for safetys sake i should get another.. tho i think it has a lifetime warranty? haha this iron will out live me!

I wear my hair natural, and wear braids most of the time. When I need a break from the braids and just wanted to wear my natural hair, I found the Solia flat iron to be the best. I like the heat settings, it doesn't burn my hair, and it looks like I have a relaxer. I have already told my friends about this product, and I plan to purchase the blowdryer as well. It's nice and light, and it cools fast. Highly recommended for those who lpve the diversity of natural hair styles.

It feels a bit flimsy and the plates don't touch completely flat. There are no teeth to pull you hair straight as you run it through, so you must use a brush or comb jointly.

I purchased this flat iron for my girls for a christmas present. They have tried others, Sally's Beauty, Revlon, and like this the best by far. The only complaint I had was when they took it out of the box the screw cover was off and we couldn't put it back on because one of the tabs were broken. This doesn't hinder the workings of the iron, but for what we paid for it, it should be in one piece. None of the cheaper ones we had did this. It does do a better job of staightening the hair and makes their hair very shiny.

This is the 4th one I've purchased. One for me and both daughters. Best product ever! I had to purchase a 4th one when our Lab pulled mine off the bathroom counter. I tried to get by on a cheap one from Walmart until the Folica one arrived, but there was a world of difference! Don't hesitate on this one!
