Product Rating: 5 Best Straightner for a good price!
Reviewer: canadachick from Canada  Mon Dec 17 2007

This straightner is an excellent straightner with a really good price!! I am a Hairstylist and I have tried many straightners, and I can honestly say that the Solia straightner is by far the best!! I've had mine for over 3 years and it works still very well!... If you are considering buying this product do so, why spend the extra almost 100$ for a CHI when the solia is just as good. And the CHI is only ceramic plates (solia has tourmaline/ ceramic which is better for frizz free and quick straight hair). I recommend any tourmaline straightner over just ceramic.

Product Rating: 5 I love it!
Reviewer: Liz from New York  Fri Dec 14 2007

I just bought it and its wonderful! I went through a few irons before and this one leaves my ends smooth and its great an easy to get to the roots for a very natural straight look. I am hispanic and black so my hair is very curly. I havent mastered the curling style with this yet, but i like what I can do so far. :)

Product Rating: 4 So far so good!!!!
Reviewer: Carrie from ATL, GA  Wed Dec 12 2007

I just bought this after returning a Wigo, and I am very happy with its performance. It still takes forever as I have a ton of hair, which is why I chosae 4 star instead of 5, but I am not at a point where I am willing to pay over $100 for a flat iron. But for any of you considering it, I have ALOT of course thick hair and it does the trick. Well worth the extra $20 for a better product.

Awesome flat iron. Gets hot quick and has varible heat settings. Makes hair straight, smooth and shiny. Love it. Would definately recommend.

Product Rating: 1 Disappointed...broken after only 2 weeks.
Reviewer: Anonymous   Tue Dec 11 2007

I really liked this product at first but it was broken after only 2 weeks of use. I just returned the item. It did not turn on nor heat up at all. If it breaks so easily, I don't know if anyone should spend this much for a flat iron. Performance is very good but durability is questionable.

Product Rating: 5 very reliable product

Product Rating: 4 Solia Hair Straightener
Reviewer: Maria from Iowa  Sat Dec 08 2007

I bought this as a Christmas present for my 17 year old. She usually uses a 2" flat iron at max heating. SOmetimes she straightens her hair twice a day. I have used a Cricket
1 " for years. So seeing that her hair was getting damaged and breaking, I decided to buy this and we would "share" it.
ONLY if she did not turn the heat past 325 degrees.
Well, we are both thrilled. Her hair is soft and doesn't look fried and my hair (a shoulder length bob) curled under at the ends and still looks wonderful 3 days later, not flat and lifeless. THIS IS WITH ONE USE girls!!
The Solia 1 1/2" ceramic iron is fabulous. But do not use it at high heat or without product. I went all over looking for Paul Mitchell Skinny Serum. It is hard to find but worth it.

Product Rating: 1 These reviews did not work for me.

I ended up buying another Original Chi, as both flat irons I purchased on Folica, this one and the Chi Turbo were not as good. I can't believe people gaave these irons such rave reviews.

Product Rating: 2 Not that great
Reviewer: Max from Birmingham, AL  Thu Dec 06 2007

I was very excited to purchase this iron after reading all of the reviews about it but,I don't see what all the hype is about. It looks cheap and it didn't make my hair look shiny at all. It also took forever for it to get here. This is going back.

Product Rating: 5 Works great
Reviewer: SN   Tue Dec 04 2007

I had one by Jilbere which did nothing for the frizzies. This one will make your hair shine. My hair is dark brown medium coarseness, generally frizzy out of the shower. But this flat iron doe a great job on it.

Product Rating: 5 Thoroughly enjoy using this iron
Reviewer: H. Parks from Detroit, MI  Fri Nov 30 2007

I am AA and this does the trick for my hair. Love the ease of use; only need to run it through each section once; great for curling and flipping hair as well; so far, extremely satisfied; worth the cost.

This is the 4th Solia I've purchased, so obviously I like them. New on this version is the huge plug adapter which makes packing it a pain. Not thrilled with that.

Product Rating: 5 In Love!
Reviewer: michelle   Wed Nov 28 2007

I love this product. I love the service!

I ordered my flat iron on a Thursday and got it the following Tuesday!

I've had my flat iron for almost 4 weeks, and i love it.

Even look at my pictures. Its absolutely amazing. Im not the best at using flat irons, but it looks pretty good.

Heres the pros and cons of this product:

Cons:
*the plates dont close together in the end. But this doesnt make a difference because it still works great.
*for a piece of really REALLY curly hair you might have to go over it an extra time.
*it takes it a while to cool down.

Pros:
*it works alot better than revlon and conair ones.
*it heats up quickly.
*it stays straight all day.
*its great for flips and curls.
*its nice that you have the choice of how hot it becomes
*its not too big to straighten bangs.
*its great for all hair types.

So yeah! Overall its fantastic. All of the cons together DO NOT add up to a flaw.

THANK YOU FOLICA!

I ordered this product on the Friday after Thanksgiving, my order arrived the following Tuesday. My order came with all the added bonuses. Hats off to the fast customer service. I haven't had a chance to use the product on my hair yet, but I'm already impress with the service.

Product Rating: 5 Great Product
Reviewer: Cla from Miami  Tue Nov 27 2007

I just purchased this iron and was able to tell it is very high quality and a great product from the first time a used it. I have wavy to curly hair - extrmely rebel and frizzy. My hair is not dificult to straighten but with regular irons i've used in the past it would take me quite a few times in the same piece of hair in order to get it straight. With solia all i need to do is to pass the iron once and that's all - it goes by leaving the hair perfectly straight and smooth. Heats up in seconds (litteraly), does not pull the hair at all like other irons - very light weight and pretty too. Great purchase!

Product Rating: 4 Good!
Reviewer: Liz   Sat Nov 24 2007

I like this flat iron alot, it does everything it says. It is less damaging. The only thing is that after a while my hair still gets a little flippy on the ends when I want it very straight, but with every flat iron I use it will get a little flippy. Overall great! YOU SHOULD BUY & TRY IT!

Product Rating: 5 SOLIA IS THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reviewer: Steph from PA  Fri Nov 23 2007

About 3 months ago, I was deciding on a flatiron. I was either gonna get the Solia or a Conair ceramic tourmaline wet/dry flatiron with hot air system. I decided to go with the Solia because the reviews raved about it and it seemed like a better iron. I WAS RIGHT!!!!!!!! my best friend uses the Conair i was gonna get and she said hers was the best ever--until she tried my Solia. now she's hooked. what i love about this iron is that it works good on damp hair. i have NO extra time in the morning, so that's great. another thing i love is that i have to wash my hair in the morning, but it dries in these really beautiful NATURAL beachy curls. the problem: later in the day, it turns into really ugly frizz and deep waves. i love the Solia because it can make beautiful beachy curls, spirals, waves, flips, or pin strait. and it only takes like 10 minutes. IF YOU WANT AN IRON BUY A SOLIA!!!!!!!!

Product Rating: 4 I've been using it everyday.
Reviewer: kris from Vancouver, B.C. Canada  Fri Nov 16 2007

I've been using it everyday, it is really good with damp hair. But sometime my hair get caught on the side of the
blue heating element, other than that it was really good.

Product Rating: 5 Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron -A Must have for those gals who want straight hair
Reviewer: Deb from MA  Fri Nov 16 2007

All I can say is wow! This tool does the trick. Has a temp control dial which shows the temp in degrees instead of high low medium or numbers 1-10. The ceramic plates are wonderful and do not catch or snap your hair. I have fine wavy/curly hair and I use a 300 degree setting and only have to straighten each section once. Hair comes out smooth and silky.
I tried another much cheaper priced ceramic flat iron and the on/off switch was on the top near where you would hold it and I kept turning it off. This Solia is designed well and the control are placed inside the tool where you wouldn't accidently hit them.

Oh and Folica is great too. Item shipped promptly!

This is a great product. I owned a Chi and this is far better then the Chi. I love this product and it was very affordable. I would definetly recommend this site for your hair product.
