I used to have a cheap old drug store hair straighener but it would make my hair sort of straight for less then an hour and completly dry out my hair. So I knew I wanted to get a nice iron but didn't want to spend over $100. This hair straightener straightens my hair so it makes it very, very soft so I don't need to worry about burning my hair. I have wavy, medium thick hair thats about 2 inches past my shoulders and I can straighten it in about 15-20 minutes. I researched a lot of straight irons and chose this because of the reviews and the low price compared to other fancy irons. It came with a travel packet and I was pleasently suprised it came with a pink cosmetics bag. The only thing that is a little bad is it sometimes snags my hair. But... other then that small reason this is an amazing iron and worth every penny! I now enjoy straightening my hair! I LOVE FOLICA!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had my Soia iron FOR two years no problem. i loved it so much i bought two for two of my girlfriends. Unfortunatel SOlia charged me for Five irons when I only ordered two. Other than that i love myiron and my friends do too. Great for the hair's condition too.

The Solia flat iron is the best flat iron I've used. The plates line up and glide through your hair without pulling, but holding the hair to insure a better contact with you hair to straighten it easily. I own a Hai, Chi, T3 and Sedu which don't perform as well. I love this Solia iron. Straightening hair is so much easier.

I bought this flat iron as a Christmas gift for my teenager and we both use it. I love the wet/dry feature. It heats up immediately, and the 1 and a 1/4 inch is perfect. I also love the case and heat pad. I am so pleased with this product!

i think it works great everyone is always talking abot the the chi which works really well but i like this one a little better my hair doesnt get frizzy when its humid or it rains outside where as with the chi it always did so if you have really frizzy puffy curly hair like i do and you like it really straight then i would go with this flat iron

I'm so happy I found this. It took a while to get to me though, so I went out and bought a cheaper revlon one - it left my hair frizzy. I was using a friend's CHI when I decided to purchase this one. I think this one is as good as the CHI. And my hair stays straight forever! Even if it's raining I'll have straight hair. I think there is a little damage though, but that might just be that I haven't had a hair cut in... 6 months? It's hard to find someone who knows how to cut curly hair, but now that I wear it straight, my options have really opened up! Very happy!

I purchased my Solia flat iron February 2007 but the following November it stopped working for some unknown reason. I sent it back in the original package and they sent me a new one right away with no questions.
I love the flat iron. I have very coarse hair and the iron gets rid of the frizzies with ease. I am very pleased with the service and the iron. I would make more purchases with this company in the future.

At first I thought I didn't like the Solia because my hair poofed out, and was all dry and dull looking, but then I realized the reason why it was like that is because I blow dryed my hair. My hair has lots of volume, so blow drying it made it even worse. But once I let it air dry, I can straighten it in 15 minutes and it looks AMAZING! The reason why I didn't give the product 5 stars is because it has a slight smell. I recomend using heat protectant and serum. I also use Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight Hair Spray to make my hair smell better.

This is the best Christmas present I could ever have gotten my teenage daughter. It takes seconds to heat, it straightens like you wouldn't believe, and she leaves the house with such confidence. Totally recommend this!!!!!

The flat iron is the best I've ever had..the only downside is I find it very drying..however, I have not been using product in my hair prior to protect it, so it's my own fault. Overall, it's fantastic...I recommend to all girls with thick, curly, frizzy hair..I was once called Frizzy Lizzy -- NO MORE!

I was so excited to try this and it did not disappoint. I have had a cheapy iron from Walgreens or something for a few years. This was fast and great. My son has already burned himself on it, a three-year old that needs to experience things for himself despite repeated warnings. Of course, he did wait until my back was turned and I was pulling the baby out of the potty. Oh, well. Now he knows for himself.

I have medium hair (not super thick and not thin) but kind of on the fine side with very little wave to it. This straightener is really nice and doesn't feel like it's damaging to my hair. Would recommend!

I have very thick , coarse, long hair. Not only is this straightener fast, it is very effective. I have gotten so many compliments from strangers on the shine and beauty of my hair. STRANGERS, out of the blue. I have since showed it to my hairdresser and several friends and they all agree, this is the best they have seen.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE CHI!

The best iron EVER!=]
I got it almost 7 months ago, and ever since I've had super straight, shiny, managable hair!
I've tried the chi once or twice, and it pulled hairs and fried it! my friend's chi broke in only 4 months! and its only been in her house! my solia has been on a couple of flights, and works fine!
Works just as well as the sedu, so why pay $20-$30 more?
I use heat protection spray along with this, and have rarely seen split ends!(my stylist even noticed hardly any split ends!=])

I have gone through about 4 flat irons and this one is the best by far. It makes my hair feel soft and healthy, and it is fast! I have LONG hair (past my bottom)and it is thick too, and I get my hair done in 20-30 minutes because it doesn't lose heat as you go, as I have experienced before. Great product.

ive had this iron for 2 years now and its starting to smell really bad whenever i use it.. like burnt hair... even if i use it onthe lowest heat setting and i clean it after every use. also it has started to take longer to heat up. BUT.. it is an amazing product. i have naturally crazy hair and this iron makes my hair so shiny and straight and healthy looking. it is definitley worth the price

I love this product!
I have a good deal of thick, curly hair and have never been able to find a straightener that really "did the job" for more than an hour or so.
But this one did the trick!
I don't straighten my hair that often,
I'm amazed at how soft and healthy my hair comes out feeling when I do.
I would highly recommend the Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron over a chi anyday.
I have friends that, after using my Solia, wish they could get their money back from buying a chi so that they could buy one like mine. (At a cheaper price, to boot.)
It's of an undeniably wonderful quality.
I'm very, very pleased with my purchase.

I used a friend's CHI straightener and loved the look. Folica.com was really helpful in selecting an iron that works well at a good price. The Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron works well and quickly.
