I bought this when i saw it was on sale, after i had finally had enough of the smell of burnt hair that my old revlon 20$ straightener had given me. I have that sorta emo hair going on (ya feel me? i know you feel me) and this straightener does it perfectly. Of course i use nexxus heat protection spray along with the straightening, but even without, my hair comes out shiny, smooth, and most of all, noticeably less damaged. A lot less split ends and burnt texture!

I purchased this item for myself. I have been using flat irons for over 5 years now - long before the trend started. This is a very good iron for the money. It took some getting used to because of the "floating" plates but funny enough I gave my old iron to my daughter and went to use it the other day for a touch up and couldn't believe I used to use that iron.... it felt foreign. Definitely a good iron for the money. Well worth it.

i got this straightener a year and a half ago, and it still works really good! i use it at its full heat every time, which is 450 degrees. i have curly/spirally hair that was pretty thick and its so good. i can straighten my hair in 15 minutes. to this day i still get compliments on how straight and shiny and soft it is. just the other day someone said that to me, no joke. im lookin to get a new one, the same one. cause ive had it for a while and its starting to take longer to heat up, but it still works wonders. i HIGHLY recommend it.

I owned a CHI and the cord shorted out after a year and a half. So far I've been very satisfied with my Solia. It heats up quickly and does a great job. Plus it's less expensive than a CHI.

I bought this product for my daughter. She has been quite happy with it. We have gone through several irons and have had to replace them within months. This one has held up well. She is enjoying it.

This Iron is the best I have tried. It heats up fast and stays hot. I have found it to be very durable. This is the second solia I have purchased. I bought this one because it was on sale and I have had my first one for over two years. I figured I better have a back up just in case. The old one is still working fine so I haven't even taken the new one out of the box yet. I do not abuse my equipment but I do not baby it either. I have extremely course thick hair and I need an iron that can stand up to it. This one does the trick!

So far, so good. I've had the iron for about 2 months....I know that's too soon to determine if it will last long, as that's seems to be the main concern with most irons...they just don't last. Compared to the CHI, it does the same thing for my hair at half the price. I have to disclose, however, that I have fairly thin, straight hair already, and just use the iron to make my hair look extra sleek. I like the idea of the tourmaline feature, which is supposed to protect the hair from damage over time.

This is the best iron that I have gotten in a long time. My hair is very curly and long but in about half an hour my hair is straight, silky and soft. If you are thinking about getting this one then I say, IT IS WELL WORTH IT!!!!

Great iron. Does a great job at straightening my naturally very curly hair in half the time that my old iron took. Hair keeps much straighter throughout the day as well. Definitely recommend this very reasonably priced and wonderful product.

I love love love this flat iron. The one I have now is 3 years old and still works like a charm. My hair is so course, curly and kinky. 15 minutes of ironing and it's slick straight. Humidity means nothing to me now!!! My neice wants one for her birthday so I'm getting it for her. I definitely recommend!!!

This is my first straightener, and my hair is wavy and thick. I really love this product. I have the shiniest, straightest hair when I use it and it looks really sleek. It heats very quickly and has the heat resistant pouch so I can use it at the gym and not have to worry about waiting for it to heat or cool. I would definitely recommend this to busy women.

I purchased my flat iron in December and I must say I am glad I did my homework by reading the reviews. I love this flat iron it is easy to use and I like the fact that it is light in weight. I have thick, long hair and it only takes me about 15 minutes to straighten it out and it lasts about a couple of days! The price is very affordable ladies do not spend your money on cheap brands you get what you pay. I highly recommend this brand and product and Folica was easy to do business with. My flat iron arrived with 3 days via regular mail =)

This is my second Solia flat iron. I dropped my first on a tile floor and it had to be replaced. I tried two other flat irons purchased from a hair supply store and returned both finally realizing I probably wouldn't find any other brand to capare with the Solia. I love my new one and its a great value there is no reason to pay hundreds of dollars more.
