This is the best flat iron I have owned. It heats up really quickly and it is super light and easy to use. I love the results I get and best of all it doesn't pull my hair. It's worth every penny. I definitely recommend it.

My hairdresser advised me to buy this straightener that she has had better luck with the black Solia than any other straightener she has used. As it turns out, I am really happy with it. Have recently used other brands of straighteners just to see for myself and no comparison.

This straightener is perfect for any types of hair! I have thick curly hair and it worked perfectly. I did my whole head in 15 minutes! Its great when you're running late to things and only have a few minutes. It kept my hair straight all day long, even when I woke up the next morning my bangs were still just as straight. Compared to the Chi, i would choose the solia tourmaline because it kept my hair straight all day. When I had the Chi it would be straight for a few hours and then I would notice it would start to get curly. The price and value of the solia tourmaline is perfect!!

I really like this straightner. After my CHI broke, I thought I would try something new. I ordered the SEDU Revolution and didn't like it at all. I sent it back and got the Solia after reading some great reviews. I really like it a lot. My hair is really wavy and frizzy and it does a great job. Best straightner I have ever owned and at 1/2 the price of the Sedu!

It took me about 30 mins to do my hair. It was not flat as a board straight. but it was close. I set it on about 370. GET ONE!!! SO MUCH BETTER THAN junkie conair 5 buck crap. Trust me!!!!

I bought this product at a discounted price over the holidays, and was really surprised by its high quality. It's hard for me to imagine that products selling for much more money could by any better than this one. Everything from it's weight (very sturdy) to it's functions. Don't spend more; buy this one!

I have fine, dry, frizzy hair which has been unmanageable all my life. I'd finally just given up on it, wearing it quite short and just letting it frizz.
I got my hair cut one day, and the stylist used an unusual black straightener with blue plates. She told me it was available only in beauty shops, but I went on the Internet, and almost immediately found the Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron.
It is easy to use. I can't get over having hair that stays straight all week, even through dampness and drizzle. The heat of the iron has done no damage to my hair.
Finally, I will be able to have hair as long as I like. It is really miraculous to me.
I strongly recommend this product for anyone with frizz problems, or who even want to just have straighter hair.

I purchased this for my 12 yr. old who wanted a Chia but I didn't know if she would actually use it for the price I would have paid. But this works great. It does not take her long to straighten her hair and we have been told (myself and my daughter) that we got in the hair line 2 or 3 times before we were born. Meaning we have really really thick hair. The only thing I would say is we prob. should have gotten a wider one since all she is doing right now is straightening it but I thought she might want to curl and all that at a later date. I really like this iron and it makes my hair really straight with no fly aways. We don't even have to use any hair products with it. It's great.

HI, i normaly would'nt write a review, but this time i had to share my experience with this amazing flat iron. First, let me inform you that i am a biracial female (puerto rican/cape verdian).My hair has been dyed,relaxed..etc,(just to give u an idea of my hair texture).It worked like a charm i love my hair, couldnt help my self to stop running my fingers through my silky, soft, shiny hair. I have to say WOW! I received my product less than 24 hours from ordering...and that was choosing the free shipping option which was supposed to be a 3-4 day delivery. Normally it takes me a good 20-30 minutes of blowing out and pulling my hair to get it somewhat straight. Aching muscles and sheer boredom usually cause me to give up before the job is finished. Today my hair was perfectly straight in only 10 minutes and it feels like spun silk.

I now have 2 flat irons from Solia. I am a hair stylist and bought one for work fell in love with it. So I got one for home because I got tired of bringing it back and forth lol. I love the way it glides through the hair and has heat settings for my clients with delicate hair that is curly. Thanks Folica for bringing me around to new products.

My hair is thin and medium wavy if air dried, and pretty straight if blow dried.
I am not too impressed at its performance b/c it doesn't straighten my hair straight and silky. It gets my hair straight, but it looks frizzy... :(
My $20 did a better job and silky straightening my hair, but it also damaged my hair a lot.
At least this one doesn't damage my hair as much.

Makes my fine, thin, wavy hair look healthy and smooth. I also really like to twist the iron, rolling up my hair to make pretty curls that last all day. I have even abandoned my big set of curlers for this faster, healthier and prettier method of curling my hair!

I bought this when i saw it was on sale, after i had finally had enough of the smell of burnt hair that my old revlon 20$ straightener had given me. I have that sorta emo hair going on (ya feel me? i know you feel me) and this straightener does it perfectly. Of course i use nexxus heat protection spray along with the straightening, but even without, my hair comes out shiny, smooth, and most of all, noticeably less damaged. A lot less split ends and burnt texture!

I purchased this item for myself. I have been using flat irons for over 5 years now - long before the trend started. This is a very good iron for the money. It took some getting used to because of the "floating" plates but funny enough I gave my old iron to my daughter and went to use it the other day for a touch up and couldn't believe I used to use that iron.... it felt foreign. Definitely a good iron for the money. Well worth it.

i got this straightener a year and a half ago, and it still works really good! i use it at its full heat every time, which is 450 degrees. i have curly/spirally hair that was pretty thick and its so good. i can straighten my hair in 15 minutes. to this day i still get compliments on how straight and shiny and soft it is. just the other day someone said that to me, no joke. im lookin to get a new one, the same one. cause ive had it for a while and its starting to take longer to heat up, but it still works wonders. i HIGHLY recommend it.
