I just got my Solia straightner in the mail today. The package came exactly when they said it would, even though I live on a college campus! The product straightned my hair perfectly...although it is not as fast as a Chi. Still, it worked on my curly mane, so I'm happy. Overall? Great.

I'm seriously amazed at how well this iron works. No hair pulling, no sizzling and no frizzies. With the iron I had before the minute I stepped outside in the humid weather, my hair would puff up. This iron actually seals in more moisture and keeps your hair straighter longer! I definitely reccomend it! :)
I LOVE THIS IRON!

It was absolutely worth every penny! I have very curly/frizzy hair and with this iron I only have to run the iron through my hair twice and it's straight! I used to use those awful store bought flat irons that didn't even leave my hair straight for a half hour! I love it!! : )

The Solia lived up to all my expectations and it came with a price tag that didn't eat a hole in my wallet. I don't think there's anything I could add to the review that hasn't already been said about the Soila. The best part about this product was it left my hair feeling silky fine and oh-so-touchable. Je l'aime!!!
These tips are ment to help keep hair beautiful and healthy. The products are effective and used to decrease the damage done in hair when blow drying and/or using a ceramic flat iron like the Solia.
::Hair Tips::
1. Rather than blow dry hair, let it dry naturally but don't ruffle the towel all over hair because that makes hair frizzy. If you do blow dry hair use it on low heat, it reduces the damage.
2. Rub a small amount of Frederic Fekkai's glossing cream between fingers and evenly distribute throughout the hair to add manageability and shine.
Extra Step: If you have alot of frizz or if your hair is curly apply Frederic Fekkai's Straight Away (of any Straightening cream/balm) to tame frizz and help straighten hair before using the ceramic iron.
3. Add the finishing touches by spraying Oscar Blandi Jasmine Protein Mist, its a leave-in moisturizing spray essential to all hair types for detangling and fortifying. This mist penetrates hair and repairs it from within. It also rids the hair of excessive oils and keeps hair fresh and smelling great because of the naturally derived jasmine fragrances. I'm promoting this product alongside the Solia because this product is great for styling and restyling before or aftering using the Solia.
4. Set heat at 300 degrees on the Solia, Its hot enough but not to hot for straightening my medium fairly thick coarse hair. Than separate the hair into 3 parts and straighten away~!!! It usually takes me 15-20 mins to straighten my hair.
5. Once or twice a week I use Frederic Fekkai Apple Cider Clearing Rinse, it rids the hair of product buildup while adding shine, softness, and silkiness. Any kind of clarifying shampoo will work but I love the smell of this product. By using a clarifying shampoo it allows styling products to work better.

this is a great flat iron! i purchased it for my 10 year old because she has very thick and wavy hair. we had been using a jilbere from sally's and it would take forever to do her hair in the morning. after using it for a few minutes it wouldn't be has hot and i would have to go trough her hair 5 or 6 times, with it still not doing a very good job. with the solia it stays hot and i only have to go through her hair twice. it also leaves her hair soft and shiny. it was worth the money. i had planned to get her a chi but i read the reviews for the solia and liked the cheaper price so i took a chance. folica is a great website in helping make decisions about hair products.

I used to use this cheap curling/flat iron for my hair untill it started to damage it really bad, made my hair frizzy, started to turn off whenever it wanted to, and actually broke in half. I've been using the solia (that I ordered from this website)for about 4 months now and havn't seen any damage to my hair :}. It's an excellent flat iron and I have nothing bad to say about it.

omg, first i have to say thanks Folica for getting here before Picture Day! i love this straightener! i got it yesterday and even right after volleyball practice i straightened it and it was so straight and soft in 10 minutes! i used to have a Conair before, it was bad. it fried my hair and gave me so many split ends. what this Solia does in 10 minutes my Conair did in 40! and with living in Florida, there is so much humidity. so my hair waves back up when i used that Conair. but with the Solia it doesnt! im so happy. im the only one of my friends who has a straightener that doesnt mess up your hair in humidity. i told my friends that i was getting the Solia, and i said that it was supposively better than the Chi. the didnt believe me. but now they all want one! thanks so much for a great product!

This product not only straightens well in barely any time, it is so versatile and light weight. You can curl your hair under, flip it out and curl it. it has made my hair so shiny and soft, beautiful! It is so managable now! Before my hairs was big and frizzy and now, it couldn't be anymore the opposite. it is so worth the money, I would definitely reccomend it to anyone looking for a ceramic iron. It's not even that expensive as the Chi, and it works just as well.
just great.

I have curly hair that I've blow dried straight every day for the last 8 yrs. It's never been hard to get my hair straight, but it always seems to curl back up with even an ounce of humidity in the air. But when I ran the Solia over my bangs (after I'd blow dried them straight), and then went outside in the thick wet air...I couldn't belive it! They stayed straight - for the first time in my life. The nicest thing is that it really kind of softens your hair - it doesn't get dry, straw-like, overly stick-straight or anything.... It has such a natural look, and doesn't damage the hair at all. I'd highly recommend this to anyone.
Great & straight!

The Solia 1 1/4'' works very well. It just arrived today. I tried it after I had already blow dried my naturally dry and curly hair. Normally when I straighten my hair I use straightening serum and cream. Today I only had regular mousse in my hair and that was fine with the Solia. The straightener made my hair very straight, very quickly. It works much better than my old Conair, with which I used to have to blow dry my hair straight first and then run the straightener through it many times. Today I used the solia on my dry, curly hair and it made it look straight and pretty. I am very happy with this purchase.

i love this flat iron. it gets my hair straighter than i ever thought it could get with some iron! however, solia is a great product and in my opinion well worth the money. i have wavy hair that is untamable at times and takes a super long time to style. this iron is great because you can take a shower and iron your hair only 20 minutes later without blow drying it. i tryed it! my hair was damp and not once did i hear a sizzle or a damaging noise. the ion ceramic plates treat my hair very well like it deserves to be treated. the only negative thing i can say is that it is a little time consuming, but not by much. thank you.
IT IS SIMPLY AMAZING!!!

I have been looking for a great hair iron for the longest time. I was considering on buying the Chi iron, but thanks to the reviews, i changed my mind and made the best decision i could have ever made, to buy Solia! I have just had the Solia Iron for about half a week and a lot of my co-workers have noticed a difference in my hair. It's a lot smoother and it straightens faster without the smell of burnt hair. Yesterday my aunt, who has really long tacky wavy hair, picked me up from work and she saw the difference in my hair and as soon as we got home I turned on the iron, it heated really fast and i ironed her hair and it only took about 20-25 minutes (thats cuz we were talking and taking our time). I just had to run the iron through her hair once and that was it! She was so happy and amazed by it, that she told me that she was going to call me up as soon as she got home so I could give the website. And guess what? Her iron is already on her way! Sincerely the Solia Iron is the best product ive tried and its not as expesive as a lot of the others! It's truly worth it!
Well worth the money

Like everyone else, i'm 100% pleased with this straightener. At first, I was hesitant about spending $90 dollars on something for my hair. My hair is a gross combination of waves, curls, and frizz. Obviously it's hard to combat that with the regular $25 one from Wal-Mart. It heated up to 370 degrees within 5 seconds and one stroke down my hair made it incredibley straight. The ends didn't flip out or go out in weird directions. It was perfect, salon-style perfect. The back of my hair wasn't a hassle like it normally is. Same effect after one stroke. It took me only about 10 minutes to get stick straight hair compared to my regular 45 minutes+. The next morning when I woke up, it looked the exact same. No bedhead whatsoever. With this, you could straighten your hair every other day, like suggested for healty hair. Where I live, if I walk outside it feels like someone threw a wet towel on me. Humidity was my enemy. Now, I don't have to worry about it. I can drive with the windows down, get out, and have amazing hair. I seriously can't stress enough how amazing this is. If you have any doubts about it, forget them. You will be completely satisfied.

I first ordered the 1" Solia, it took about a week to get here, and when it finally did, it was defected. The cerarmis plates didnt meet so it couldnt grip or straighten my hair. It was a pain to send it back, but Folica asked no questions and sent me a new one right away, the 1 1/4". It heats up in under 10 secs. and straightens very well. I love it and would def. recommened it!

I purchased the Solia Professional Ceramic Ion Flat Iron a few weeks ago and it works great! I use it every morning and my hair always comes out straight and silky. It never pulls my hair or leaves it feeling damaged in any way. I would highly recommend this flat iron to everyone. Just be careful because it does get very hot.
