I got this item few months ago and I use it on a daily basis. I LOVE IT. Easy to use, fast and definately worth every $$ I spent. I highly recommend it.
The solia is uncredible.

I truly love my solia. It is ahh mazing. Works really good and my totally wavvy nappy hair, and it works quick. OMG and i love the way you can choose the temperature of the straightener. Oh and to add on to all that the blue on the hot plate thing gives it a really good look. Ha i love my solia. its ahh mazing!
LOVE it

I spent months reading reviews, looking at beauty salons at all the different flat irons available trying to decide if i had to spend $150 on an iron or not. After reading many good reviews about the Solia, espeically the part about not grabbing hair, i purchased it. And I can not say enough good things about it. I have had it now for over a month and it works wonders! It heats up in just seconds, i dont have to wait and wait in the morning to style my hair.
It is the best product for a flat iron available for those of us that dont have the extra money. It was worth the wait.
Pretty good value for money

Not bad but I have a GHD in Australia and it is far superior. Though for a third of the price, the Solia is pretty good.
Solia ia great

This is my first experience with a "professional" flat iron. Big difference from cheap dept store products. Heats up quickly, and one pass produces desired effect. Well worth the investment.
awesome

I used to use the conair straighteners and they were okay but this product is really great and I'm glad I dug down deep and spend the money. It was worth it! I works fast and makes my hair really sleek and soft.
Great flat iron.... until it broke!!!!

Bought the flat iron, worked for approximately a month and a half and then it stopped working. It wasn't worth my money.
Get the larger one for long or thick hair

I ordered the 1 1/4 size since it seemed like the best all around. My hair is long and I have A LOT of it, but I wanted the plates to be thin enough to still use it as a curling iron. It worked well for curling, but it did take a long time to get through all my hair for straightening. I returned it for the Solia with the bigger plates. I highly recommend the larger size if you have long or thick hair. It's worth it to me to have that and just use a separate one for curling.
amazing!

This was the first major purchase of any styling tools, I usually stick to whatever I find at Wal-mart. I love this flat iron, the temperature dial allowed me to select my perfect setting to keep my hair healthy. Unlike the cheeped products the Solia keeps the frizzes away I can’t wait to see how it holds up to the summer weather.
loved ut till it broke

well I have had this straightener since let see ohhh late September but then one day i go to plug it in last week and poof nothing no light not heat nothing it is like the cord broke. i have tried everything to get it to work again, because i love this straightener! it is my hair life saver ever since i bought it my hair is much easier to style and it looks way better then anything else i have tried. my hair is amazingly thick and extremely poofy and curly and with my longer bob hair cut that doesn't look to good, and this straighten works like a dream to get it stick straight and thin and shiny and soft etc. so not sure what i am going to do now that it is broke. i am not hard on hair equipment i have the same blow dry for 10 years. i follow up to see if folica will fix or replace or if it is even worth fixing/
Pretty Good

This is only the second flat iron I have purchased. It is much faster and easier than the Maxi-Glide. I didn't buy the Chi because I knew at least two people who had issues within the 1st year. Anyway, my daughters hair is extremely course and frizzy. It works good. Her hair stays straight for the day but does tend to get the curl back by the evening. She does use product but her hair is extremely difficult. I would most likely buy the same one again.

I have wavy, poofy hair. The Solia is good at straightening but not as good at eliminating frizzies. I tried using it at between 300 and 370 but found that it worked better at 370. I haven't tried it at 400 because I'm scared it might damage my hair. The results usually last for a day. I find that the CHI from Global Beauty which they used at a beauty salon I went to lasted longer and was much smoother. Still, the Solia is much better than the Remington Wet/Dry straightener that I had before. However, for the price, I expected much better.

This is the fourth flat iron I have purchased in less than 3 years. After spending much less on irons at retail stores, I decided to spend a little more and order the Solia Iron. I have a feeling I won't need another one any time soon. This iron is great -- heats up quickly and straightens hair extremely well. I am very pleased!

I've used the Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Ion Flat Iron (1-1/4") for a little over 2 months now. I absolutely love it! My hair length is between my chin and shoulders and it straightens each section with one pass. There are only a few kinky spots towards the back that I go over several times. The Solia does not pull or snag my hair. And I think the absolutely best part is that my hair stays straight even when it's pouring down rain and the humidity is out of control! I believe this Solia iron proves you don't need to spend over a $100 for a good iron.

I have thick, curly hair and my hair is completely straight without a lot of work. It has never been this soft in my life and feels healthy. The iron is so easy to use, glides threw my hair. I would recommend this iron to anyone.

I began my search for a flat iron by reading reviews posted by users, and based on their comments and before and after photos I was persuaded to purchase this flat iron instead of a more expensive option. Since I was a child, I have fought with my curly hair and have spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars on products, processing, and tools that failed to meet my expectations. This flat iron is a man-made wonder. What a great value for the money – you won’t be disappointed.

i am an AFRICAN american 15 year old girl. i am also mixed with irish and indian. I have very LONG THICK WAVY,HAIR. Usually it would take me at least 4 to 5 hours to flaten my hair run threw it with a comb or a brush and then I would flaten it again and it still wouldnt be straight. With this flat iron it only takes 10-15mins with my hair and it last for more then 1 day I just got it on 3/26/08 for a birthday present and my hair has been straight ever since. Oh and also it only takes 30 seconds or so to get nice and hot it does not snag my really long hair and I only have to run it threw once or twice.. and another thing the mat is really nice to have. The week i got the flat iron we took to it to los angelos and it did break because we had it in the mat. ^_^ but overall i would HIGHLY recomend it.
P.S
I did research on this flat iron (since I wanted to upgrade that cheap one from sally's) it is way better then the CHI. most chi's have cheap plates and they burn your hair and usually if they do work it doesnt last for more then 1 year (it depends on how much you use it) the sedu works probably as good as the solia but it costs alot more...
