It gets to 450 degrees but the temperature is adjustable. I use it on the 370 setting and I have coarse wavy hair. The highest setting should only be used if you have very curly or ethnic hair or else you will burn the heck out of it. | wet?
hi i'm korean, and my hair takes like, FOREVER to dry. and while it dries, it like really frizzy. can i use this straightener while my hair's wet? or will it like kill/burn my hair? Question posted by Alice Wed Jan 16 2008 Submit your answer | Reply by Emily

You can use the straightener while your hair is towel dried, but, using your straightener when your hair is fully dry is always the healthier choice.
I have the same exact type of hair, so I usually wrap it in a towel for 20 minutes then let my hair air dry. THen when its completely dry I use my straightener | | Reply by Emily

Yes they do. Because of the rounded edges not square they are able to do curls and flip your hair in and out. | Do these damage

No just make sure you know which temperature is good for your hair. If your hair is thin and fragile then put it to a low temperature, but it all depends on your hair. | Hi

This One Goes Up To 450 Degrees | Question
My mother is half spanish and japanese, as a result she has extremely thick (and i mean THICK), long, wavy hair. It frizzes out very badly and i don't know what to do to help her. I was wondering if this would work on straightening out her hair, and plus what type of product should i use (like the chi serum) to help straighten it and keep the frizz down. Question posted by J Sun Nov 04 2007 Submit your answer what should i use on my hair after i straighten it?
i was wondering what product i should use on my hair AFTER i straighten it. i have sort of wavy medium thick hair, and goes to my shoulders, so i want to know what kind of product would make my hair nice and smooth at the end of straightening. and im planning to buy this straightner, so what would work best with it too. thanks! I think you should use Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum (you can buy it from this website for around 15 dollars). It makes your hair strong, shiny, and helps repair damage.
If you are trying to save money, grab some Garnier Fructis sleek & shine leave-in conditioning cream from target or wal-mart for about 4 bucks. This stuff works good. | | Reply by P.G.

When I straighten my hair I use Biosilk. It smells great and last. It is a little oily so you only need a litttle bit. Just put a dab in your hands and smooth over your hair after using the flat iron. | | Reply by Andrea

I agree.. biosilk smells amazing. Use a tiny dot of the silk serum in your hair before you leave... focusing on the ends. Your hair will not only smell great... it will be shinier and softer than ever. | | Reply by Amanda

What do you have your flat iron set on? And how thick is your hair? If you have fine thin hair, and you have it set on 370 or above, you should turn it down. Also, if that's not it, what do you use to straighten it with, what products? I use Loreal Paris StudioLine Straightening Cream, I have really thick hair and have to use almost half of a bottle, but it works great. Also Herbal Essence has a great straightening spray that smells good, it comes in a purple bottle with a green lid.
Or there is also salon straightening products like Matrix hair straightening spray(it comes in an orange clear bottle...it's part of the orange bottle Matrix line, but I don't remember the name). | | Reply by Helena

People are saying for you to use biosilk, but I wouldn't use that if I were you. I myself use to use biosilk and I loved it, but when I looked biosilk up on this website to buy it I started reading the reviews and I freaked cause people were saying it has alcohol in it that really damages ur hair in the long run.You should go read them to get a better understanding. If I were you though I'd try the Sodu srpays. You should look those up too. | | Reply by katie

biosilk is the best.couldnt live without it..its expensive but well worth it! | Are they the same?
I have not bought a solia staightener yet, and I was wondering if there is a difference between the 1 inch pink solia and the origianal 1 inch black solia.I know that they both have the same number of stars but the pink one is only based on 12 ratings and the black one is based on 312 ratings,so my question is are they the same or different? I had the same question, so I wrote in and asked, and the managment said that there was no difference on the two. Their performance is the same, and they are both equally good. THe only difference is that one is conrtibuting to the Breast Cancer Foundation, so if I were you, I would definately buy that one! | | Reply by Customer Service
