YOUR HAIR GETS CAUGHT CUZ OF THE SHAPE OF THE IRON..ITS TRADITIONAL. THE NEW SHAPE OR U CAN CALL IT V-SHAPE (Solia)DOESNT DO THAT

I myself had the same problem and that is why I chose Solia. Never once did it ever get caught or tangled. I will never go back to using those fake over the counter hair irons.

Will it work on my hair??
I was looking for a new straightner when I saw this Solia. I was wondering if it would work on my hair. My hair is think, curly, frizzy, and dry. I really want a good straightner so if you know this will work or have very similar hair to me and have used it before, could you please give me your feedback?? Thanks!!

yeah my hair is really similar to yours, its really thick, dry curly and i've got some frizziness. but it works great on my hair! just try to blow dry your hair kinda straight before you use the straightner, and put it on the highest heat setting.

How long does it take to straighten hair?
Did anyone find the this iron to work faster than others? I'm really interested in something that straightens thick wavy hair thickly. Thanks

I find it light weight and easy to use and easy to hold in your hand. My hair glides smoothly and does not get caught in it and break like my old cheap iron!!

Diffrence?
I was wondering if the 1-3/4 in. is just as good as the smaller 1-1/4 in. because it has better reviews?

The only difference will be the amount of time it will take you to do your hair. When you have thick hair the 1 3/4 in would fit more hair in it. They both get the same temperature!

1-3/4" or 1-1/4" for bobs, flips,etc
I have very thick curly hair that is about three inches past my shoulders, normally the larger the plate the better, but im wondering if anytone thinks the smaller size is better for creating large round curls bobs, flips and other hair styles. I dont like wearing my hair straight like a pin, but rather with some bounce, what do you people think is better 1-3/4" or 1-1/4"?? (Does that little measurement make all that difference??

does it last?
I'm trying to decide between purchasing a solia or a sedu. There is nothing in the remarks on the solia about how long it lasts. I've seen a couple remarks about sedu's only lasting about a year. Do solia's last longer or is a year about the typical lifespan for a flat iron??

I think the Sedu has a sharper looking design and I wanted it cause it looked good but then I read that the Sedu was sold out. So I went with the Solia and I am very happy with it!

1-3/4" or 1-1/4" Model
Hi, I have extremely thick, wavy hair that goes to the middle of my back. I am not sure what size of Solia I should get. I have read that the bigger ones make it harder to straigthen hair closer to the scalp. Also would it straighten my hair quicker if I had the bigger size straightner.Thanks.

I would recommend 1-3/4" since your hair is longer

BIGGER is BETTER and QUICKER! Recommended for long and thick hair.

The perfect one would be 1-1/2" because its not too heavy and slides right thru your hair, but we don't have that size choice so I recommend the 1-3/4".

Silky as a Sedu?
I am considering purchasing the Solia 1 3/4" for my very long, fine hair. After reading some of the reviews, I've noticed that more people complain about their hair not being silky than in the Sedu reviews. Both say they have infra red heat technology. What would be the difference?
