Directions:

• Plug the appliance into a wall outlet (110V)
• Set desired temperature and turn switch to ON (light will turn on while heating up)
• Iron will be ready for use when light begins blinking

I have short hair with a slight wave to it, and have gotten along okay with two cheap flat irons---a Conair & a Revlon (they cost $25-30 each)---for years. Recently I started researching flat irons, since the ones I had were not performing up to par. My hair would straighten for a couple of hours, then the waves would start anew (not good for an A-line bob). I started looking at different brands, different prices, and checking reviews on them. I set a price limit of $100,and began the search in earnest. After several days of alternating between the Chi and the Solia, I chose the Solia, mainly because of the reviews and the "best of Folica" seal. The iron was at my home in 3 days, quick turn-around time (thanks, Folica.com!). I was as excited as a kid on Christmas morning as I opened the package. It looks really sleek, it heated up within 30 seconds, and it is totally awesome! It made my hair (which is in good shape to begin with) so soft and shiny, and it's so easy to use. I would recommend this to anyone, but especially folks who are looking to upgrade from a "Walmart" brand to a not-too-expensive alternative. The free shipping & free heat proof pouch are a nice touch, too. I can even skip a day washing my hair. I get out of bed, put a little styling spray on, touch it up with the iron, and it sometimes looks better than it did the first day. Don't hesitate, this is the one!

HI All, This flat Iron is the best I have ever owned, Ive had it for 3 weeks now, It is light in weight easy to use. Excellent for traveling with the heat proof pouch, just do your hair and go! I love the black and blue one personally it looks good. Heat settings are awesome this iron is great for thick frizzy hair and makes my hair sleek and smooth! Overall satisfied!

And I thought the chi was good!
