before this flat iron,i went through tons of flat irons.it took me forever to straighten my hair,and even after i was done it wouldn't even be straightened!!! now my hair is pin straight in minutes..and stays that way!!BY FAR the best yet!

I love the pink flat iron! My friends laugh about the color but I think its because they are jealous that they are not brave enough to be Pink! It gets hot very quickly and the black heat-resistant pad makes it easy to travel with because you can put it away right after using. The pad also holds my curling iron at the same time. I love this iron and my husband loves the style!

Saw this at the mall during the holidays, but it was way over priced. Looked it up on Folica and saved a ton. Plus it works like a charm.
It straightens and curles....LOVE IT.

My 59 year old cousin lives with me and is mentally challenged. She also had breast cancer. Because she tried someone's flat iron (and loved it) and since the Solia Pink Limited Edition 1" Flat Iron is pink (for breast cancer support), it seemed a perfect gift for her. She received it for Christmas and uses it every day. She also took it to her school for show and tell as her favorite Christmas present. My three daughters also tried it, and agree that it is much better quality than they have of their own. My cousin has rather unruly hair, but it looks really nice since she has had this flat iron. I worried about her hair drying or breaking with so much use, but it appears to be in great shape -- just straiter and nicer.

I do not think the iron flattens as well as a Chi. It pulls the hair a bit, doesn't get as hot and certainly doesn't make my hair as shiny or straight as the Chi. I have naturally curly, frizzy hair. I would buy a Chi again and not the Solia.

I have 4 daughters and I dont like putting chemicals in their hair. 2 of them have long soft hair, the other 2 have realy coarse hair and this iron works for both!
I have had it since October '07 and I still love it! In the pice are 2 different girls w/2 different hair types. What do you think?

It has been almost a year since I purchased my flat iron and I simply love it. My hair is so much manageable with this iron and it feels so smooth with. This is the best hands down.

I really like this iron. I have very thick and frizzy hair and the it makes my hair nice and smooth and silky, but it works just as god as the last one i had. The last one i had was a revelon one that i had gotten for just $10. That one broke so i was looking for a new one and decided to get this one. And also i love how the iron curls my hair it never curled before!! so i recommend this straightner to anyone who is really looking for an all around iron not just a straightner.

all i can say that this really has worked great on my hair after having a regular 20 bucks one this was a great improvement it cut at least 15 minutes of getting my hair done and this left it way softer than the other i really was gonna get a chi but after looking at the ranking of it and reading some its reviews i decided to get this one for a much better price well it was a good decision because it came out to be as good as i thought i can go out and be in humid weather and my hair still looks great afterwards!

I read all the reviews for the Solia thinking that it was a "must have" flat iron but really its not all that great like everyone makes it out to be. Honestly if I had to choose between the Solia and the Chi I would definetly choose the CHI no doubt!!!

While many of my friends have cut back or completely quit using their expensive Chi flat irons because it has dried out or even ruined their hair, I am on my 2nd Solia flat iron. The Solia flat iron has actually improved the quality of my hair. I have no trouble with dryness (which I did in fact have before I began using it). I even use it on my 7 year old daughters very slightly wavy hair to achieve a smoothess for her. It is a gentle flat iron that still manages to get ALL the curl & wave out! I can even use it to add a body or even a little curl or lift since it is thin enough.

I had been looking around at flat irons. i dye my hair frequently and it gets reallllly frizzy during the day! I couldn't handle it anymore. I love love love this pink flat iron. My mom got it for me for christmas, and it was just what i was hoping for. it heats up rapidly and it works magic. my hair stays beautiful for days. My mom wants one now too.
the cord squeeks. and i don't care. because it is amazing!

This flat iron is okay but of course not what I really expected it to do. It does work as far as making the hair straight but because I have curly thick hair, it doesnt really take only the one time to get it straight, I have to actually go through a couple of times before it gets straight.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE FLAT IRON I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. I BOUGHT IT IN EARLY OCT 2007 AND IN LATE DEC 2007 IT STARTED LOOSING ITS PINK PAINT AND RUSTING ON THE EDGE OF ONE FLAT IRON, ITS JUST TERRIBLE. I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF MY STUFF SO ITS NOT IMPROPER USE. ALSO I SENT A E-MAIL TO CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO TO FOLICA AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING BACK. DO NOT BUY THIS IRON IT IS A RIP OFF. NOW I'M OUT OVER $80.00 ON SOMETHNG I CAN'T OR WILL NOT USE ON MY HAIR. WISH I KNEW HOW TO SEND A PICTURE I WOULD IN A HEARTBEAT.
Can live without it... but hope I never have to.

This is the first flat iron I've owned, so I can't really compare it to others. I have chronically flat, baby fine hair that develops flyaways. It also gets this occassional wave in certain areas that just isn't flattering. This iron gives me the polished look I'd wanted for a long time.
I only iron the ends to clean them up and give them a shape that lasts, literally, all day and all night - even with no hair spray. I spray on protectant (use a protectant!), take about a minute or two minute to iron, and I'm set for the day. When I have a weird bubble or curve, I use my iron to straighten that out, too. I've found that the colors in my highlights show up better and are shinier and healthier looking when I iron my hair, as well.
The very short time it takes to heat up is wonderful since I tend to be running out the door every morning. If I am running late, I can plug my iron in, run and do something that takes a few seconds, and run back and iron my hair.
The iron does snag my hair a bit - just a little bit. From what I've read, though, for every iron on the market, one person will say it snags, and the next person will say it doesn't. So this is not a deciding factor as far as I'm concerned. I think there's room for improvement in the effectiveness of my Solia for my hair, but I'm sure that's because I keep the temperature pretty low since I have such fine hair. I don't want to go too high and damage it. I'm sure that if I went up in temp, I'd get even better results.
All that said, I absolutely love my Solia iron! The difference before and after ironing my hair is like night and day. I also recommend buying from folica. I received the iron in no time (2 days maybe?), at the best price, with a counter protector/traveling case, and free one-year subscriptions to my family's four - yes, I said four - favorite magazines! Does it get any better than that? Oh - and my husband loves how my iron makes me look, too. :D

I too was leary of the price but it out performs the store bought ones. I have had my flat iron since Oct. It arrived in a timely fashion. I am very pleased with the performance.
