After reading all the good reviews I purchased this flat iron and was somewhat dissappointed. My friend's HAI straightens my hair much faster and at a lower setting. This flat iron will only give you supper straight hair if you take the iron to the same hair section several times. It isn't very good.
Loving it!

I'll admit it takes a while to get the hang of this iron, but once you do, itll be sooo worth it! play around with it a bit and get used to it. I love the way it leaves my hair pin straight, and how it makes lovely curls...easily! my thin frizzy hair used to never curl no matter what...now with this iron i curl my hair in 30 min and itll last all day! all i do is add some leave in conditioner and then curl and its good! My sister has thick long hair and it works perfect for her too!
GREAT product!!!!

The Solia was a good product, it never was exceptional in my opinion, however, it heated up fast, never snagged and was very effective on frizzy hair. I purchased my iron a little over 2 years it has shorted out. It first started with a flickering on and off of the red "on" indicator light and then about 3 weeks later I smelled the components burning and poof it had died.
OMG....solia flat iron=AMAZING!!!!

Ok so I bought my solia a while back and had very high expectations for it considering it had such great reviews! Well, I received it in 3 days and LOVED IT imediately!!!! It exceeded my expectations by far! It makes your hair very straight, soft, silky, shiny, and many other good things that have to do with hair! It also makes lovely curls, spirals, you name it----solia can do it! I would VERY highly recommend getting this product!!!! I just wish I would have ordered mine off folica.com because I ordered it off of some other website that charged me the full price of $150 for it!!!! I could have got it here for only $85----a great price for a great iron!!!! Don't hesitate....just buy it and prepare to love it!!!!

For the longest time I was using a helen of troy flat iron, which always took forever to straighten my hair and made my hair look dry and I would get a ton of breakage. Finally I decided to invest in a ceramic straightener. When I saw this one I instantly loved it because its pink but once I tried it, I fell in love. This product straightens my hair in no time and it makes my hair look smooth and healthy. I love this flat iron!!
It seemed good at first..

This straightener is pretty good, except the plates didn't even fully meet up, so I had to push down SUPER hard or had to go over my hair several times, which damaged it a bit!! It heats up fairly quickly as well, but I'd prefer a straightener that has plates that actually connect properly. I just ordered a chi online and hopefully that works better...

I purchased this flat iron almost a year ago. A few months after I got it one of the round things at the end fell off, but no big deal, didn't effect it or anything its just there to cover.
Sometime, two or three months ago I noticed one of the plates was scratched. I am not sure how it happened because I keep it in the lil travel pouch and clean it with only soft clothes. Also here in the last week or two where my cord connects to the straightner has gone out. There are only two particular! spots I have to have the cord for it to work.
Other than that this was a great flat iron. It has almost been a year and as I understand the thing with the cords tends to happen. I wish it wouldn't have happened or I would have been able to use it more than a year. Those are my only complaints.
I also should mention I was crazy curly hair and it is hard to get straight but this flat iron did great, while it lasted.

This flat iron worked very good, until my dog chewed the cord in half! :[ and i only had it for about 4 months. It straightened my hair very good and it made it very soft. I didnt even use any heat protectant or anything like that and it was still really soft. But after my dog chewed it up I went ahead and bought me a chi. I know everyone says they arent know good but im going to give it a try. but if the chi dont work for me im going to come back to this one or get me a sedu!!

I order this product to replace a broken flat iron (Sedu, purchased on this website - awsome). I should have gone with the one I knew, but I liked the price, color and reviews. It's the worst flat iron I've used. The plates do not meet evenly, the hair gets caught in all the gaps, and it does not get hot enough. I have fine relatively straight hair, and use a flat iron to get rid of the frizz. I am having a terrible time exhanging it, and will be out of pocket the cost of this flat iron, plus shipping to Canada.
OK, but...

I bought the normal version of this (the blue and black one) and absolutely loved it, until about a year into owning it, when something happened to the cord and it wouldn't stay turned on anymore. So i went to buy another one, and since this one was on sale i figured why not. Exactly the same straighteners (i thought) except this one is pink and it's 1/4 inch thinner.
Turns out they added a new feature, though, that the normal one doesn't have: the 'dynamic' 'self-adjusting' plates. Basically what that means is that the plates tilt side-to-side -- just a tiny bit -- i assume to make sure that they stay in contact with each other. This sounds like a fabulous idea, except that that tilting action turns the sides of the plates into little pincers that snag on my hair. Sometimes it'll grab a hair near the root and it won't let go until i get to the end, which results in a shredded-up coil of hair that i end up having to cut off.
I've got used to it now so that i can kind of manoeuvre it right to minimise the damage... but it still happens every once in a while.
Other than that, it's a fine straightener, just like the black-and-blue one. It lasts long, the heat is consistent, it warms up pretty quickly, and it's easy to hold on to. It's just that stupid plate thing that ruins it.
So... although i would buy one of the normal ones again, i definitely wouldn't get this one.

I have naturally super curly and frizzy hair and everyday i would wear it up in a bun cuz i was embarrrased to wear my hair down. then i got the remington wet 2 straight. it took me an hour and a half to straighten it. and it wasnt even very straight. i would walk outside and my hair would friz up and curl again. once i got the solia i tried it immediatly and it took me 20 minutes to straighten my hair. my hair felt soft and silky and best of all it was flat! i would highly reccomend this straightener to anybody!
BETTER THAN CHI!!!

I just recieved my Solia in the mail yesterday, It is really and truly amazing!! The fact that it is pink makes it even more awesome. It doesn't snag my hair, it only takes one run through a strand of hair to get the effect I need. I use it on the hottest temperature and it just glides right through my hair and doesn't burn it. My hair looks and feels healthy. After using the solia my hair is silky, shiny and straight. Oh and If I want to flip may hair in or out it also just takes one run through to do that also. The Solia is way better than the Chi!!!

This straightner stinks. i wish i never bought it. i read all the reviews so i bought it. i have the easiest hair to straight cause its so thin and already wavyish so i thought since everyone wrote all these great reviews i'd get it. it just came and i tried it and it doesnt do anything!!! my hair's poofy, not very straight, and frizzy! DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT!! ITS A RIP OFF!!!!!

it is VERY VERY hot, beware! i burnt myself and i use straighteners all the time and have never burt myself before. i was not impressed with the solia's ability to curl my hair, so if your looking for a curling iron too, this is not the best one to get. straightening time took the same or longer than before. the only good thing about it was that it made my hair shiny, but almost on the verge of greasy, therefore, i will return it and splurge on a kiyoseki pro straightener!!
Best flat iron!

This iron is great. I had a conair before this and it was terrible! It snagged my hair, left my hair damaged beyond belief, and fell apart in the end. The Solia runs through my hair so smooth, and I only have to go over my hair once to get it perfectly straight. People are writing bad reviews saying the plates don't touch, which is true, but it is such a small gap it doesn't make a difference anyway. I have thin hair and it worked wonders with me. The color will take some getting used to, though.

I have naturally wavy hair, that goes down to my shoulders. i love this straigtner. It keeps my hair straight all day and it only takes less than 30 minutes. Its just as good as a CHI so dont spend the much money on a CHI spend less and you can get the smae results!

I had a chi iron that stopped heating out of the blue and its almost impossible to get someone to fix it unless you have a recipt and are able to return it for a new one. So I bought a cheap $20 iron in the meantime until I could find me a better one. I came to this site and this iron drew my attention because it's pink so I bought it. This iron is fantastic! Great price and pink! I tried it and it dosen't make my hair frizzy or pull on it. The only reason that I wrote it's almost perfect because it is a little light weight(I was use to a heavier chi iron) but I really don't mind that fact. I wish I found this site before I bought my chi iron and wasted my money. This is the perfect iron at a great price and it's free shipping and it comes with the free pouch which is great when your using the iron and for storage. Don't doubt, buy it!!!!
