my straightener worked great until about a week ago when it just wouldn't turn on. i didn't overuse it--probably three times a week AT THE MOST. i don't remember my customer information and threw away th receipt so i can't get the warranty but i reccommend keeping that the whole time you use the straightener because solia does have a 2 year warranty.

i got this iron a few weeks ago and the first time i tried it it was amazing it worked so well on my hair because my hair is very very thick and this iron went threw it like no problem and it used to take me like a good hour to straitin my hair and now it takes me like 20 good min.but other than that i love it bacause u can also curl your hair for fancy nights and u can wavee it how ever you would like to and it works so well .my fav thing about this iron is it heats up like in 1 min or less and of course its pink lmao.another thing i enjoy about this iron is that the heat is wonderful it gets so hot and the hotter it gets the better it flat irons itt.. but the only reason i rated <good> was beacuse chi is better brand but im telling you it does the work and i like it very much such as my new best friend when im ggetting ready in the morning.=) get it its great and if u dont like it you hav 30 or 60 days to ship it bac(: pce <3

I've had my flat iron for over two years and it still works great...no problems at all! My hair is amazingly straight and holds the style all day, even on humid days...doesn't snag the hair either...gets extremely hot! great product, would definitely buy again!

I have been straightening my hair for 11 years. I started with numerous hot tools straighteners that damaged my hair and continuously found myself needing to buy a new one every 2 months. I bought my solia straightener during the fall of 2006 and it still works amazingly. It will straighten your hair while leaving body and volume and when desired it will leave your hair pin straight. Still at a decent price, it is hands down the best straightener that I have ever own.

I just received my flat iron last week. I just want to say that this was the best purchase I've ever made when it comes to flat irons!!!!! I love this flat iron, it really straightens my thick hair to a nice silky sheen. I'm mixed with naturally thick curly/wavy hair. I do relax my hair but I've never had such nice silky straight hair after using a flat iron. It keeps my hair straight for days!!! I would recommend this flat iron. You won't be disappointed. The plus is that some of the proceeds went to breast cancer research...

I got this iron a little over a year ago from Folica, who deilivered it super quickly by the way, and I love it! my hair isn't ridiculously curly but it can be a pain to straighten sometimes, but this iron gets the job done perfectly! My sister does have really curly hair and I got her hair pin straight without any product, it was amazing! My hair stays straight, shiny and smooth, without damage! The only little thing it that it gets pretty dirty after sitting in the heat-protecting case for a while, so cleaning is a must! Other than that I really don't think I would use another iron, oh and it's pink! What else could you ask for!?

Love this flat iron because it makes my course dry hair really soft and silky really fast. Only had it for 2 months, but so far so good.

Ive had this straightener for about 2 years now. Its a good flat iron but Im sure theres a better one out there... Im looking for a better one now. It does the job but its not as good as some could be... I stepped on it a while back so it has a crack under one of the ceramic plates but still works just fine but it pulls your hair if you dont have it in the right spot now =) I like it I just want something better. I got it bc it was pink!

I've owned many straighteners before, and this is definitely not the best one out there. It's not very good for keeping my hair healthy over long periods of time and I use heat protection, and it seems I have to trim my hair more often than I had to with other straighteners, and when humidity comes around, I can kiss all that time spent on my hair good bye. I do really like the heat proof pouch it came with, and I love the colour.

Over the years, I've tried many, many brands like CHI's, sedu's, corioliss, and babyliss but none of them have ever done as good as this straightener.
I was kind of hesitant to buy this straightener but I don't doubt it now. It makes my hair look shiny, feel like silk and combined with a heat protection spray it just makes my hair .. amazing. I get compliments on my hair all the time.
What I really like about it is the fact that it takes so little time to heat up, and it does exactly what I want it to. If I want curls, it gives me curls, tight ones, relaxed ones, whatever. If I want straight, it gives me straight, etc... It also works well with my extensions, and doesn't snag my hair or anything.
I really, really reccomend this straightener, it's not worth it to spend all that money on the other more expensive ones. Especially when this one is probably better quality than the rest.

I absolutely love this flat iron! I've had it for a week now, and am amazed at the difference in my hair. My only complaint is that the swivel part of the cord is a little stiff and doesn't move freely. Other than that, it's the perfect flat iron!

I am really picky about my hair products and have used the Superstar Flat iron for years & gone through a couple of them. Well recently I dropped it and it broke into pieces. I went to buy another & found that they went to $169! I guess they came out w/a new model which had very bad reviews. I read the reviews for the Solia & decded to try it. Boy am I happy I did, it is great & just as good as my other if not better & much less expensive. Very happy and highly recommend! My hair goes from frizzy to healthy & shiny!

I purchased this iron after my Sedu bit the dust. I can honestly say the Sedu is MUCH better...first of all, this Pink Solia looks VERY cheap and flimsy. But, I figured that didn't really matter in the long run. So, I tried it on my thick, curly, hair. It took at least four or five swipes to get it straight. I compared it with my Sedu hair...and there is really no comparison! The Sedu got my hair straight in 2 swipes. Also, it FLATTENED my hair. Even after going over my hair four or five times with the Solia, my hair was straight, but semi-poofy. Maybe it would work better on someone with thinner, not as curly hair. Definitely not for me. I returned it today, and am buying another Sedu.

i had spent 120 on a previous straightener it was okay..just okay..thats why i returned it i looked for a better one read the reviews on this one i bought it and its wonderful! the tip just gets too hot and it makes the hair very silky and smooth! i love it!!! so far i dont regret getting it

I got this straightner over a yr ago after reading the reviews and have to say I do not regret it. My other straightner after a few mnths the plates turn brown and smell burnt, but this one is still all one color. My hair is less damaged and doesn't get snagged by the plates. If goes out I will definately be buying another one. Oh and I like that I can stick it in the pucha and throw it in my bag as soon as i'm done using it.

okay so i bought this flat iron b/c the reviews were amazing and...itz pink! lol honestly, it works well and itz excellent for curls. I guess the only complaints i have is the fact that it makes my hair a little staticky and that it pulls my hair now and then. ouch? lol but ummm yeah all in all tho i do not regret buying the flat iron. The good overcomes all the bad so yeah itz a good straightner :)
trust me when i say this is an amazing hair straightener!

i have bought too many straighteners in my past trying to find one that works very well. when i searched folica trying to find a good one i found the solia and right away wanted to get it. some of the reviews made me confussed because so many of them were good but there were a few that sounded horrible. don't let the bad ones throw you off like it almost did me. get this straightener and you won't regret it. trust me i have wasted so much money trying to find the best one but i know i have found one that i know i can use for a long time. and if for some reason it does break like i have seen in some of the other reviews it won't matter because it comes with a 2 year warrenty! **GET THE SOLIAz**

I got this iron in august of '08 and I was disgusted in it by December.
I then asked for the Kiyoseki Flat Iron for Christmas which worked wonders until it died on me a week ago.
Im not off to buy a chi.
I however, DO NOT, reccomend this.

I am really glad that I bought this hair straightener. It definitely heats up super fast and in one or two passes my hair is very straight.
