I bought my Solia 1" Limited Edition Pink flat iron after going through numerous (5) Hot Tools flat irons. At first I was worried bc I was buying from a brand that I had never heard of before when all I wanted was a CHI. But I was MORE than satisfied. Not only does it come in my favorite color, it heats up to 470 degrees in 30 seconds or less! That gives me more time to do my makeup in the morning after getting out the shower. My total time needed after washing my hair was somewhere around 40 minutes (including the hair-drying). Let me tell you how this AMAZING flat iron has bumped that time in less than half! Yes, girls, it only takes me 15 minutes to do my hair now. I want the world to know that this was the greatest investment in a flat iron I have ever made. And even if it breaks, I have a warentee :)

It was a great straightener. I like how i dont have to press my hair so its room for my hair to grow and start to become healthy again. I like how fast it heats up cause when im in a hurry its a must that my hair look at least decent. This Product overall is a great product...I would tell anyone of my friends to buy one.

Wow! What an awesome flat iron! I previously owned a nice flat iron that I bought at Sally Beauty Supply a few years back. God bless it. . it did its time. I straighten my hair everyday (I know! SO BAD!) and the ceramic ironing panels were literally burning off of my previous flat iron because I used it SO much. It got SUPER hot really fast and all of my friends with Chi's were so jealous of it. Anyway, I realized this year that my flat iron needed to be layed to rest but I couldn't do without one. I did my research and found this Solia pink Limited Edition flat iron and knew I HAD to have it. It's PINK! HELLO?! I forwarded the Solia info to my mom and I am happy to say that I received the Solia flat iron underneath the Christmas tree this year :) I used it immediately the next day and fell in love. It got hot SO fast. Literally in like 2 seconds. I am not one who is very patient so I was excited to see that it heated up so quickly. I went on with my straightening and it made my hair so soft and smooth! And the best part about it?.. it didn't make my hair smell like burnt toast! Some friends of mine have Chi's and straighten their hair and it will literally smell FRIED after they are through straightening. UGH! But the Solia? No way! It's FABULOUS! Another cute (and brilliant) idea about the Solia is that it comes with a little pink case to put the flat iron in when you are finished straightening. This is a GOD SENT! I travel a lot and I was always having to wait for my previous flat iron to cool down completely before I could put it in my cosmetics bag and get on the road. Once, I put my previous flat iron in my cosmetics bag when it was still hot (about 550 degrees) and it melted ALL of my beauty products and even made some of my hair products explode. No joke. But the cute little pink case lets me put the Solia right in it without any worries. LOVE IT! Also, Solia included a REALLY cute sparkly compact mirror with my flat iron purchase :) It really doesn't get any better than this, ladies. Spoil yourself. Your hair deserves it!

I bought this flat iron about a year ago, and let me tell you that I have owned a lot of flat irons, and this is by far the best one. My hair is basically straight, but it will never stay straight because I have a natural wave. With this flat iron my hair stays straight! My hair is also damaged from all of the coloring I do to my hair, and the Solia doesn't fry my hair when I use it. At a salon I went to, I asked them to straighten my hair after I got a hair cut, and they used a CHI flat iron, and it burnt my hair! I love my Solia! BUY IT! Nuff said ;)

I had a conair that I purchased about 7 months back from walmart for like $25, I thought I really liked it until I realized it was breaking my hair. I could literally hear it breaking my hair. My friend was telling me about her CHI iron she had got so I got online wanting to purchase a CHI iron. After reading the mostly bad reviews and the price being much higher than most. I decided to "shop" around a little more. I have to admit. The PINK caught my eye about the SOLIA. I read pages after pages of reviews and checked out the b4 and after pics and was wowed. So after checking out the sedu and a few others I decided to give the SOLIA a try. I received it in 3 business days as promised with the free pouch and FREE gift. A CUTE PINK bag to accompany. I was very pleased with the results of my transaction and My product! I didnt hear my hair break one time and I have natually wavy hair. My hair is smooth and silky. I am posting before and after pics. The after isn't So great b/c my hair needs to be washed :-()

After going from my $19.99 Wal-Mart purchased straighter to using a friend's GHD flat iron I was immediatley convinced I needed a top-of-the-line flat iron for myself. I have naturally straight hair but loved its ability to create curls or waves in my hair without looking to "prom-my like a curling iron. It was a bit of a stretch pursuading my hubby to buy me the $200+ GHD, but with the reviews for this one I was convinced it would do the trick. It works well, but is DEF. not on the same level as the GHD I had used. The Alignment system they rave about in the product details for providing the best contact with your hair is crap. It causes one end of the iron to squeeze fully together while the other has a small gap. As it states in the other reviews, it also pulls snags and catches on your hair a lot, AND I HAVE STRAIGHT HAIR. I can't imagine how it would be with curly hair. All in all it gets the job done, but takes a bit more time and effort than the GHD.

I tried this one because of the amazing reviews, and it was cheaper than the CHI. I've used the CHI before and was WOWed. While I didn't get as strong of a "wow" effect when I first used the solia (don't get me wrong, it's still great), I found that the Solia leaves your hair feelings just as good, weeks and months later, whereas the CHI seemed to dry out my hair more over time. I love the Solia and definitely recommend it for the price. My only complaint is that the straightener doesn't open up as wide as others do, so it takes some getting used to.

When I owned a remington wet to dry iron, my hair got HUGE. Which was ridiculous considering I have very fine, thin hair. Anyway my remington wasn't getting as hot anymore and I hated it in the first place, so I did a little research but was intending on getting a chi. When I saw the pink iron I thought it was adorable and a really reasonable price, not to mention it has much better reviews than the chi. I've had mine since february and my hair is SO much healthier, even though I use it on 380 every day on my thin hair, dyed hair. Now when I'm low on time I don't even have to use my solia, even though it's so easy to use I don't mind it. If you are looking for amazing results, and don't want to damage your hair too much, buy the solia. I'm guessing you won't regret it.

I absolutly love my solia straightener. For one, I am completely obsessed with keeping my hair straight. I've used every hair product out there and I've used 2 other electric straighteners. They both we're cheapish one's; One costing 17$ and one costing 30$. They were O.K. but they just didn't make my hair straight, so thats why I considered getting a more expensive one. After reading the "CHI" straightener reviews, most of those people said they got this straightener and it worked better plus it was a whole lot cheaper. I saw some before and after pictures for the Solia and they were phenomenal. When I first opened the package, it looked kinda cheap, as in it looked crappy. So I was alittle sceptical about it. But once I turned it on, it got SOO hot in 2 seconds. Then I used it.. It was GREAT!! My hair is super straight and soft. +Plus it acually STAYS straight. In the picture, you can see the back of the hair isnt that straight, and thats because I hurried since I was so excited to write my review so others can experiance this great straightener. And the cooling mat was WAY useful so it didnt mark any surfaces. The compact mirrior was also super helpful. So if your unsure about this straightener, don't be. Just be buy it. You'll apperciate it later. Trust me. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I got 4-6 day shipping and it came in TWO DAYS after it was shipped. But WARNING: remember, this is a high temperatured styling tool, so it will damage your hair if you don't use a heat protecting product. Try Tressame. It is awsome. So you have the 411... BUY IT!

Product Rating: 3 Damages as well as it straightens ..

I bought the Solia pink edition a year ago. Before that I was using the Wet to Straight Remington Straightner, which was HORRIBLE on my hair . . it made my hair extremely dry & I had many split ends. I begged my mom to get me something more expensive, hoping it wont damage my hair so much. So I got the Solia straightner . This straightner works well, makes your hair soft, straight and shiny! I have very wavy hair and it makes really nice. However i found it has tolerance . . to keep it straight the entire day you`ll have to straighten it more then the week before for example. Over time it started drying my hair out ... After a year of using the Solia, my hair is dry, and has many dead & split ends. Right now i have to work on reconstructing my dead hair. If anyone buys this product i extremely recommend you to use heat protecter , and deep condition your hair as often as possible when you use it. I think if i did all that , my hair wouldnt be as damaged as it is now =( Remember girls (or guys ) theres no such thing as a straightner that DOESNT damage your hair, so use many precautions! I only recomend this to people who will take care & protect their hair while using the straightener.

I LOOOOOVE my new flat iron... I work at a beauty supply, and we have about twenty ceramic flat irons for sale, and i would still pick this one over the rest. Ive owed about 9 or 10 flat irons that either stopped getting hot or just damaged my hair.. but not this one. i love it.. i'd buy it over and over!! It gets my hair super straight and super soft!! LOVE IT!!

I have a cosmetology license and have purchased about 4 different flat irons over the years. The last two I got out of desperation and figured I would try them out to see if there is a difference. THERE IS. When it says ceramic plates, make sure you are truly getting a professional product. The ones purchased at a beauty supply chain that is "open to the public" does not sell the quality that you will find with the solia. Don't waste your $50-75 there.

This was DEFINITELY worth the money. I have wavy / curly hair and the Solia smoothed the cuticle perfectly. I definitely recommend spending the money on it.

Hands down the best flat-iron I have ever used.

I got my Solia pink flat iron the other day and couldn't wait to use it. As you can see my before and after photos. It really works. All you need, after you shampoo, condition and blow dry, is a little serum to protect your hair. Flat iron it and it becomes soft, smooth and silky. I recommend this product 100%.

I haven't had a relaxer since January and it looks as if I've gotten one. That's how great the Solia is! So if you want a good flat iron, this is the one.

I love this straightener. I tried my friend's CHI and it did the job, but it got waaaaay to hot, and I felt like it damaged my hair. When I finally decided to replace my old cheap one, I read a lot of reviews, and I was about to get the CHI, but the Solia got my attention and I bought it. It's great I love it!!! It gets the job done fast, it doesn't damage my hair, and it's cute! I definitely recommend it!

There's a picture of my natural curly hair and algo one of my straight hair after using the Solia.

I just received it in the mail after ordering the iron and the Sedu Smoothing Heat Protecting Boost on Tuesday. Keep in mind, I chose the free shipping (UPS Ground, 4-6 days.) It arrived in two days! Along with it came a heat-proof pad/bag and a cosmetics bag. The heat-proof pad/bag is very useful as it doesn't leave heated marks on surfaces and it also makes it easy to carry the Solia around.

I loved my friend's Chi and wanted to get one, yet my mother doesn't value beauty very much so she wouldn't allow me too spend over $100 on it. This iron, although it has slight pulling at the ends, glides smoothly, similarly to the way a Chi does. The plates are very smooth and well-built, meaning I can close in on my hair well.

It also leaves my hair feeling silky to the touch, and not fried. It takes away puffiness yet leaves natural volume. I use it on the highest setting (450) because I have relatively straight hair, yet massive amounts of it, in addition the fact that it has a natural wave that just refuses to come out!

My recently cut side-bangs are straightened perfectly by putting it on the lowest heat setting.

For people who have problems straightening their ends, section your hair into two separate parts (on each side of your head), pull the sections into loose ponytails, and simply glide over the ends, maybe, 5 times. Your ends will be straight yet not thin and breaking.

I am VERY happy with this iron, it's reasonable yet it certainly outperforms its price and many of its competitors.

I achieved these results after using John Frieda Straight Shampoo and Conditioner, Sedu Smoothing Heat Protecting Boost, blowdrying each side for 15 minutes, reapplying a little more Boost, and then straightening each side for 5 minutes. The whole process took a little under an hour and was well worth it.

My previous iron, a Babyliss Tourmaline straightener, snagged my hair way too much, as well as having an impractical design. It fell apart on Tuesday morning, and ever since then I have had to deal with a $35 drug-store Ceramic Tools straightener, which in the timespan of two days, single-handledly killed my ends and gave my hair a strange smokey smell. I even saw the proteins from my hair (little white dots) on my hair! It was disgusting! I went from cheapo-deapo to luxury in a matter of two days and $60 more dollars.
