The BEST hair flat iron on the market!

While many of my friends have cut back or completely quit using their expensive Chi flat irons because it has dried out or even ruined their hair, I am on my 2nd Solia flat iron. The Solia flat iron has actually improved the quality of my hair. I have no trouble with dryness (which I did in fact have before I began using it). I even use it on my 7 year old daughters very slightly wavy hair to achieve a smoothess for her. It is a gentle flat iron that still manages to get ALL the curl & wave out! I can even use it to add a body or even a little curl or lift since it is thin enough.

I had been looking around at flat irons. i dye my hair frequently and it gets reallllly frizzy during the day! I couldn't handle it anymore. I love love love this pink flat iron. My mom got it for me for christmas, and it was just what i was hoping for. it heats up rapidly and it works magic. my hair stays beautiful for days. My mom wants one now too.
the cord squeeks. and i don't care. because it is amazing!

This flat iron is okay but of course not what I really expected it to do. It does work as far as making the hair straight but because I have curly thick hair, it doesnt really take only the one time to get it straight, I have to actually go through a couple of times before it gets straight.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORSE FLAT IRON I HAVE EVER PURCHASED. I BOUGHT IT IN EARLY OCT 2007 AND IN LATE DEC 2007 IT STARTED LOOSING ITS PINK PAINT AND RUSTING ON THE EDGE OF ONE FLAT IRON, ITS JUST TERRIBLE. I TAKE VERY GOOD CARE OF MY STUFF SO ITS NOT IMPROPER USE. ALSO I SENT A E-MAIL TO CUSTOMER SERVICE ABOUT 2 WEEKS AGO TO FOLICA AND HAVE HEARD NOTHING BACK. DO NOT BUY THIS IRON IT IS A RIP OFF. NOW I'M OUT OVER $80.00 ON SOMETHNG I CAN'T OR WILL NOT USE ON MY HAIR. WISH I KNEW HOW TO SEND A PICTURE I WOULD IN A HEARTBEAT.
Can live without it... but hope I never have to.

This is the first flat iron I've owned, so I can't really compare it to others. I have chronically flat, baby fine hair that develops flyaways. It also gets this occassional wave in certain areas that just isn't flattering. This iron gives me the polished look I'd wanted for a long time.
I only iron the ends to clean them up and give them a shape that lasts, literally, all day and all night - even with no hair spray. I spray on protectant (use a protectant!), take about a minute or two minute to iron, and I'm set for the day. When I have a weird bubble or curve, I use my iron to straighten that out, too. I've found that the colors in my highlights show up better and are shinier and healthier looking when I iron my hair, as well.
The very short time it takes to heat up is wonderful since I tend to be running out the door every morning. If I am running late, I can plug my iron in, run and do something that takes a few seconds, and run back and iron my hair.
The iron does snag my hair a bit - just a little bit. From what I've read, though, for every iron on the market, one person will say it snags, and the next person will say it doesn't. So this is not a deciding factor as far as I'm concerned. I think there's room for improvement in the effectiveness of my Solia for my hair, but I'm sure that's because I keep the temperature pretty low since I have such fine hair. I don't want to go too high and damage it. I'm sure that if I went up in temp, I'd get even better results.
All that said, I absolutely love my Solia iron! The difference before and after ironing my hair is like night and day. I also recommend buying from folica. I received the iron in no time (2 days maybe?), at the best price, with a counter protector/traveling case, and free one-year subscriptions to my family's four - yes, I said four - favorite magazines! Does it get any better than that? Oh - and my husband loves how my iron makes me look, too. :D

I too was leary of the price but it out performs the store bought ones. I have had my flat iron since Oct. It arrived in a timely fashion. I am very pleased with the performance.

my mom had got me another brand straightner that had fried and made my hair look greesy.... she knew how much i hated it so she got the pink sloia for valentines day in 2006 i still have it and it works like its brand knew ilove it and my fav color is pink so i love it even more!!!!!!!!

I got this iron for Christmas and at first I was skeptical about whether it would work or not. I was going to get the Chi, but I used my old Chi and noticed my hair was FRIED.
I finally got the Solia and my hair was instantly HEALTHIER and SHINIER than ever before! It doesn't burn your hair either. I use it every single day and I still have healthy, soft, shiny hair. THIS IS DEFINITELY WORTH SPENDING THE MONEY ON!

I read the reviews for this product and bought it to try it out. I was not satisfied with the way the plates moved. I tried the product several times before I decided to return the item.

i loved this straightener until it stopped working for NO reason 6 months after i got it. it says limited warranty but they put you through too much hassel to make it worth it. granted, when it worked it was great, but only 6 months of working isn't worth it to me. save your money on something that will last!

I got my Pink Solia flat iron less than a year ago. I was so happy with it. It worked good for my course and kinky hair. It didn't work as good with my friend's thin, curly hair though. But yesterday I went to go straighten my hair, and my Solia flat iron wouldn't turn on. The light doesn't turn on and it wouldn't heat up. I don't really understand why, I took really good care of it, and I cleaned it alot. So, if you want a straightner that actually works for a while, I probably wouldn't suggest the Solia.

I have owned 2 solia irons in the past year. They have both broken. I thought nothing of it the first time but the second time seriously made me mad! I took care of them and didn't even use them on a daily basis and they both just literally stopped working one day. I do NOT recommend this product and we will see how great the customer service is when I return the second one.

I really love this straightner.. I got it 4 Christmas last year and I still love it.. I have the pink solia and I absoutally LOVE IT.. It keeps my hair straight all day. I recomand u to buy it!!!!!!!! :)

I was a little skeptical at first about buying another flat iron because my hair had so much damage from the last flat iron I owed. I bought this one anyways. Everyone kept telling me to buy a Chi, but I was not about to spend $120 on a flat iron. As it was, I thought I must've been crazy spending $80 on this one. So, I thought I'll go ahead and get it, I can send it back and get a refund within 30 days if I need to. So, it comes in and I use it the first time. My hair felt really soft and not dried out. I was still skeptical waiting to continue the use of this flat iron and then my hair would eventually be fried. Well, I have used this flat iron for almost 2 months now and my hair is actually softer than what it was before I started using it. AMAZING! This flat iron is worth every penny! Living in Florida the humidity is my enemy. But even on the hottest days my hair stayed straight and didn't frizz. Of course I use a heat protectant on my hair because I also blow dry. But if you're looking for a flat iron, look no further! You will regret not buying this flat iron.

I bought this and I was so excited for it to come! Then when it finally did I tried it out to only see that it works almost the same as my cheap conair iron. Honestly I was so dissappointed because of all the good reviews in here. The only things that I liked about it was the swivle cord, heats up super fast, and that it doesn't burn my fingers when I touch my hair. Other than that my hair gets frizzy in a few hours again. I'm not really impressed at all.
