I had a true ceramic pro (for 4 months) and loved it. Then it quit. The company reps said too bad. I then got on their sit and found out maybe I was lucky as I didn't spend the extra $$ to get the extended warranty (I thought the 160.00 I spend would imply I purchased a quality product--NOT!!).
I got the much more affordable Solia and I love it!! Try this before you get ripped off with the TCP.
Ignore looks--works great!

The pink definately looks cheesy, but works great. I have a large Sedu iron and this works just as good. Sometimes the smaller plates work sooo much better.

This is the BEST flat iron I have ever used! Straightens hair super fast and leaves it soft and shiney. Highly recommended!

This was such a great flat iron in the beginning my daughters and I all just loved it! It does not break the hair off like a lot of flat irons do, it just worked so beautifully... then after we'd had it for only 6 months it just stopped working!!! I am very dissapointed in it... finally we found one we all agreeded on and then POOF it's gone!

omg....i ordered the solia pink flat iron on a friday and received it that tuesday, talk about fast delivery...I couldn't wait to open the box and use it, and once i did, i couldn't believe how straight and shiny it made my hair..i have owned quite a few flat irons and None of then have worked as good as this one... i am so happy i bought it, I love it...and i am so anxious to use it the next day to syle... thank you folica for such a great product!!!!

In an attempt to save $$$ after my trusty Sedu died after 3 years I purchased the Solia Pink. It works well but not as well as my Sedu, it feels a little cheaper, heavier, and leaves my hair smelling slightly of burned product. I'm not dissatisfied enough to return it but I do wish I had spent the more on the Sedu. The free ground shipping was nice but since I live in California it took a full 7 days to finally receive it.

I really like my PINK solia so far. Only if they had the plates a little bigger. mabye 1 1/2 or 2 inch. But I'm still lovin' it.

This is the best flat iron we have ever used. I bought it for my daughter, she has very thick hair and we have tried all of the discount and department store irons and none have even been able to do anything with her thick hair. The first time she used it we both were amazed at how straight her hair was, we both are very pleased. We would recommend this iron to anyone especially if you have thick hair.

This iron works GREAT. I have purchased many for my daughter and this is the one that works the best on her wavy hair. No need to blow dry than iron it. Just wash your hair, let it dry, iron it and in 15-20 minutes your done. She loves it.

I love this straightner i really didnt think i was going to like it because when it first came in the color wasnt that great but it leaves her hair feeling silky smooth ang shiny. i would reccomend this to anyone and everyone......

This iron snags horribly and the plates don't completely touch. My hair kept slipping out as I tried to straighten it. My $16 Conair from Target works better than this. I am sending it back. Don't waste your money on this iron.

ok so i have the frizzy fro. my hair usually takes up to four hours to make perfectly straight (the way i like it) and about and hour and forty five minutes 2 be decent enough for a frreaking messy bun. yeah, it sucks. last week i was at my friend's house and she did my hair. when she was done after about twenty five minutes, my shoulder length clown hair had a sleek, super straight, elbow length look! i was in love and knew i had to have to straightener... ASAP.
so three days later, i ditched my old deep hair fryer (wet to staight.... stay away from those things they are hell for your hair) and now i use my adorably pink Solia flat iron every morning! and i get endless compliments on my hair! buy it as soon as you can..... if it can straighten MY hair.... sure i can straighten yours!
