I bought this a few weeks ago and I am pleased with the results. It definitely doesn't scorch my hair like my cheap flat irons would or snag my hair. I like how it heats up in 30 seconds and stays hot throughout styling. I also enjoy how smooth the plates glide through hy hair. I am excited to try it as a curler when I have longer hair.
I would recommend this product.

I originally bought this product after using a ceramic iron which was too wide to get the results I needed. This slim iron makes it soo easy 2 grab "hard 2 reach sections". iron. I luv it when it comes to str8ing my hair!
However it is not the greatest for doing curls as it does not have a long lasting result. Overall I think this is a "must-have product!"

All of the previous straighteners I've had have been the cheap ones from grocery stores. I wanted to upgrade after my last one broke, and was researching the Chi, since it's supposedly the best, when I saw that the Solia one is ranked higher than the Chi. After reading the reviews, I decided to get this one, basically because of the price and color, and I am completely satisfied. My hair is so0o0o0o silky after using it, and stays that way regardless of how humid it is outside (I live in Houston). I have an inverted bob, and the Solia does not pinch my hair at all. The 1" plates get the shortest part of the back of my hair perfectly straight, with little to no effort. I've only had the Chi being used on me at salons, but I can't imagine how it could be better than the Solia, especially if you take into consideration the price. I definitely recommend this straightener!

I like my new flat iron. It does what I want it to, heats up really fast, and is a pretty shade of pink. I don't use it a whole lot when I do (I have shorter hair), but it works well, and if I still had my long hair, I have no doubt that straightening would be no problem. The best thing about it is the temperature gauge, so I can control the heat setting and not burn my hair off.

I went back and forth on which one to get (sedu or this one) but I am glad I decided to go with this one. I like that there are more heat settings to choose from.
I have naturally straight hair. I got my hair cut shorter recently and the guy cut a bunch of layers into my hair which wound up making my hair look like a hot mess (all wavy - some flipped out, some flipped in). With this tool I am able to straighten my hair back within minutes. Love it!
I read that a lot of people had a problem with the plates lining up right. With a really light squeeze the plates line up perfectly. I also haven't experienced and tugging or hair pulling.
(Haven't mastered the flip under or curl yet.)

I didn't think it would happen; finding something affordable that compared to the Chi. I'm mixed and have tons of thick curly hair. I also take care of my cousins who are black and tame their unruly thick hair. This flat iron, compared to the cheapies from the drug store have completely changed what I think about flat irons! Its not that it straightens hair; it adds volume and shine, and even straightens my cousins hair who is thick with coarse curls. I ws even able to get the little hairs on the edges due to the flat irons small size. The folks who want to wean off of perms, this is the way to go. It can handle the new growth! I would totally recommend this product to anyone who wants to tame the fro.

I got this flat iron last March and it worked decent until this morning, when it got really really hot and burned my hair, then stopped working. Of course this is not just the Solia, flat irons in general don't seem to last very long if used everyday (I had a Chi last only a little over a year)

I ordered my solia yesterday and went with the free shipping (4-6 days), but I got it today. I washed my hair and let it airdry until it was slightly damp and began straightening it. I started off with my bangs and at first, I thought the straightener wasn't working because it slid through my hair so smoothly. This is probably my sixth straightener and none of the others even compared to the smoothness of this one.
The solia took a few passes to straighten each section of my hair, but somehow, I still managed to finish straightening quickly. I also tried curling a few sections and I think that with practice, the curls will come out better.
Five stars for Folica.com for shipping it to me in one day, and five stars for the Solia :)

The Solia is great! No problems with it. Heats up hot and fast. Also flips and curls hair well! They also sent my package very fast; Came within 2 days of purchase. The only minor improvement that could be made is the numbers on the heat gage could be made darker so to see them more easy.

I gave this to my wonderful daughter in law for her birthday. She used it while staying with us & could see a difference in her hair right away. I think she liked the pink color almost as much as the great job this flatiron does!

I would usually never write a review on anything but I just got my pink solia and it is incredible, so I had to share. I do not even need to blow out my hair anymore before flat ironing. I just let it air dry and start ironing pieces. The result is silky smooth and pin straight! I have curly hair and usually with blowing it out and using my old flat iron it would still look a little puffy and never fully straight. it doesnt even matter if it rains or you sweat. Your hair WILL stay. Buy this immediately.

I have only had the Solia 1" pink flat iron for a short time and I have short hair. That having been said, the iron works at least as well as an iron I bought for $50 or so more. It can heat more than is required to straighten my hair (somewhat coarse, previously curly hair); it heats up quickly, and so far, it has fallen off the vanity onto the floor without suffering apparent damage. I am a sucker for pink things so I like it.

I like this product alot i used it on my moms thik curly hair and it only took like 7 min the only bad thing is that it cost so much i hope i lastes a longe time.

It is good for flat iron purposes but NOT for curling definitely. It's harder to use than it looks. But heat up fast so it'll save you time. I only use it twice so far so can't say anything about durability...yet :)

I absolutely love my Solia Pink Limited Edition 1" Flat Iron. I have wavy/curly/frizzy hair and it completely straightens it and makes it shinny with no frizz. I also absolutely love the fact that after I learned how to use it correctly i can not only use it to straighten my hair but also curl it out and under and do beautiful spiral curls with it. the only thing I am not happy about is the fact that it collects dirt really fast and it is hard to keep the outside of it clean. the only other thing is that after using it for about a month or so the handle has been getting hot so I have to be careful of how I hold it so that i don't burn my hand.
