Solia Pink...Rocks!!!

This straightener is sooo awesome!
The Pink gives great results. I have purchased other expensive straighteners and they would fry my hair. I would only use the straightener for special occasions because I would have to use a protein pack for days, so my hair could be ready for the next time I would fry it with the straightener. I have hilighted my hair for years and I am able to straighten it every day with the Pink and my hair doesn't get sizzled on the ends anymore. It's so nice to straighten my hair in 5-7 minutes and be ready to go. If you use bleach for hilighting your hair, this is a great product. It works amazingly well to flatten and smooth hair. It also works great for sealing and controlling the ends of the hair and leaves the hair super shiny.
What more can you ask for...it's cute and it's a great product!
Not worth the money.

I am sorry to say that I was very excited about receiving my solia flat iron but was greatly dissapointed. I thought that with all the good reviews on it, it would be wonderful. The day that I got it, I immediately used i; (i wanted to do curls with it)but after a couple hours, it started faltering and did not stay softly curled. I was greatly disappointed since I spent a lot of money on it, therefore I sent it back. I had bought the curler mostly to do soft curls and flips. Then my sister told me about her friends curler that she had used, it was a Andis ceramic curler that she had bought from wal-mart for about fifteen bucks. She said she used it and the curls remain in tack for over 24 hours. I was hesistant but went and bought one for myself. I loved it. It works ten times better than the solia because it did just what my sister said and heats up just as fast as the solia. Too bad I didn't know about it before trying out the solia.
My daughter loved it!

She said it was her favorite gift ever and judging how good her hair looks, I can see why. The curling iron works just like she wants it to, and our hairdresser says we got a great deal! We would definitely buy from your company again.

I was reluctant to get this since I already had one..a revlon ceramic one that I got about 6 years ago. I thought it did the job perfectly fine but wanted to try another one. I was so amazed and shocked at how straight it made my hair! It did the job in half the time and got rid of all my frizz. I really couldnt believe it. I also love the pink color. Everyone should have one of these..im sooo serious.

-first off this straightner is a very very oh so very different color pink than on the internet and the box it comes in..basically the picture lied. the pink color is so unbelievably ugly...its worse then the pepto bismol color pink--way worse..
-now it does smooth out your hair and smoothes the frizzness and makes it very shiny and soft--a healthy lookin shiny and soft.
- i have very thin hair so i keep it on 370 and that seems to work perty good..im also an athletic and so i sweat a lot and when i go thru school the whole day is usually as straight as it was when i first straightned it..except for when i sweat-it gets curly--just like any other straightner would..i will post pictures of my hair before (without straighning) and then after (with straighning by the pink solia)
-also unlike the wal-mart straighners im used to using this one doesn't make my hair look burned and this straightner doesnt pull on muh hair like the walmart ones used to..
this straighner is over all "way better than my old wal-mart revlon straighner".. way BETTER..

I love this iron!! It doesn't snap my hair. I use my usual straightening products and the straightener just glides down my hair. It leaves it super shiny and soft and, again, doesn't SNAP! Totally worth the money!

so i got my PINK solia last X-mas and i love it so much. the year before i got a chi and it only worked for a year and i had to borrow my friends flat iron it worked pretty good but nothing compares to the solia. it is the best styling tool that has ever touched my hair. i would give it a million stars if there was room.

I just received my flat iron yesterday and I am so impressed with it. Not to mention the color, it's precious and the fact that it has a long cord. It took no time at all to receive the product. My niece likes it so much she will order her one. It's a product that I will gladly recommend. The heat temperature is also great, not too hot.
uneven plates, but satisfactory performance

I ordered the Solia Pink on Sunday night and received it two days later on Tuesday. Unfortunately I discovered that the plates don't meet evenly. They only touch at the very ends of the iron, where the "feet" would be if the iron was a pair of "legs." It will snag your hair if you try to run your hair through that tight "feet" section. I called customer service (which is great, by the way!) and frantically searched the web for any info on "uneven plates on the Solia" and it turns out it's completely normal. It's not a defect. As for the iron's performance, I was pleased. My hair is very docile and straightens easily so I can't say anything for the ultra-curly girls. It heat up very quickly, the weight (very light) was nice, and the rounded edges let me flip in the ends a little. I've only used it once, so I can't comment on any long-term damage. I need to use it a few more times before I come to an ultimate decision. If the uneven plates thing gets to me, it's the Sedu 1" for me...
Amazing

After searching FOREVER for a new straightener, I finally decided to buy the Solia over the Chi, and was really nervous about my decision, since I have used a Chi for about five years now. I have fine, long hair, and have found that the Solia makes my hair look more natural, flowing, and healthy as opposed to the Chi. Being a fanatic about healthy, perfect looking hair, I made the right decision. I would recommend this straightener to anyone deciding between the Chi and the Solia.
ABOUT THE PLATES: It is true the plates don't touch all the way together, and many people see this as a bad thing. It is actually PROTECTING your hair and functions the SAME way as irons that clamp all the way together. Just because the heat isn't making direct contact with your hair doesn't mean it's not making enough contact to straighten extremely well.

I love this flat iron. I'm a cosmotologist and I've been using a CHI and I like them but they're pricey and tend to short out after a few years. I got the Solia for use at the Salon and it works just as good. I love the color to. I recommend it!

I love the flat iron because I am able to touch the tip. It is still warm, however, a novice can maneuver the flip and swirls easier.
