this straightener could work so good! i was deciding whether to get a chi or solia.. but i read all the reviews on the solia were way better than the chi's recall issues... so i picked this one. i was nervous my first time using it anxious to know if its well worth what the reviews describe it as.. and i was amazed. its way better than you would imagine it to be.. x10! it keeps my thin hair soft silky shiny and pin straight. incredible... seriously haha
I got it for the pink!

It definitely gets the job done but I don't know if I would tell my friends with really curly hair to get. My hair is basically already straight so i just need a quick run through and its perfect. But it is not a chi.. i wish i would have paid a little more and got one.

Definitely gets the job done as far as stick straight hair, although I would like to run it through my hair less times to achieve the straightness. Although i love this product, next time I might spend a little more so it can do the job a little quicker.

I love my flat iron because it's light weight. i use it everyday and my clients love it!!! I do recommend it to anyone!! I'm very pleased!!!

Okay so im the type of person thats well...cheap. I dont like to spend alot of money on things so i originally had a remington wet-to-dry straightner. It worked very well but i thought maybe a more expensive one would be ever better! Well i was wrong. This straightner works just as good as the cheap $20 one. The only diffrence is that this one is thinner and pink! but the huge plates on the other makes straightening fast! but hey if you love pink like me then buy it!! you wont be too upset because it leaves your hair soft and silky. also curls well ;)

I am not the one to use it, but as a birthday present, it being pink scored a bunch of points. She says it heats up quick, works great and is light weight. So that makes it great. And not to mention it was her favorite color!
She is very pleased with it!

the solia pink limited edition 1" flat iron is simply THE BEST i've ever owned. i wasn't sure whether to purchase the black/blue 1 1/4" solia or this one because my hair is thick n long, but after i received it, i was i got the pink one! the width of the hot plates do not even make a difference at all. in fact, it works just as well as the 1 1/4" (my best friend has it n i've used hers, so that's how i know). i LOVE how it's all pink.. i mean, every inch of the product--even the plates & cord/plug!
i loved how it came w/ the free pouch which even has a slot to place the cord in. this flat iron is very effective, very compact, heats instantly!, n is just cute & adorable in pink!!! it even makes beautiful, bouncy, shiny curls!!! so it's really a 2-in-1 iron :o)
this product is really worth the $83 i spent on it. i had spent $150 on a flat iron before that wasn't nearly as good as this one. solia is the best bang for the buck!
if u are in need of a great flat iron and/or curling iron, stop ur search here. trust me, this is the one to get!

I was using a very old, small flat iron that was literally frying my hair. After hearing a few people talking about their flat irons and seeing how great their hair looked, I immediately made the decision to invest in a better iron. I chose this particular one because it was pretty much the only one available at the time.
I like the fact that it heats up instantly. I also like the free heat pad that came with my purchase.
As far as for my hair, I have seen an improvemnt, it seems softer. It still takes a while if I want to get it perfect and my hair still gets affected by weather, but overall I'm statisfied. I would definitely buy aonther Solia in the future.

i purchased this flat iron about two or three months ago and i love it. i've had a few cheap flat irons before, and having curly hair i would always end up with a few kinks or waves in my hair that just wouldnt come out and my hair would feel dry. Half the time i'd give up halfway out of sheer frustration of not being able to get my hair to be straight. It would take me 2-3 hours to get it straight. The Solia iron heats up really quickly, and has a nice range of temperatures for different types of hair. For the most part i only have to go over a section once and it makes my hair super straight and smooth. Its great at getting it super straight but not making it look unnaturally straight. It gives my hair nice shine and movement that looks and feels healthy. It doesn't snag my hair at all and none of the coating on the plates has chipped off like on my old ones. Now i can dry and straighten my hair in half the time. Plus if i decide to leave my hair straightened it will last a few days. The iron is pretty easy to handle, it doesnt get too hot to handle and i haven't had any sort of problems as far as it not heating up as well or shorting out or anything. So all in all, I highly recommend this flat iron.

I ordered this product from this website in July of 2007... in just 7 months it went from working fine... to just not turning on. It may work great for a while.... but it isn't a good longterm investment.

I used it the day I got it and it exceeded every one of my expectations! My hair is really really curly! But as the straightener passed over my curls they literally just went flat!
I don't even think I'm in the bathroom straightening my hair as long now.
Another plus is that it's super cute and pink..my friends are so jealous!

I received my Solia Limited Edition pink flat iron today. I couldn't wait to use it. I was very excited since all of the reviews that I read were really good. I can't say that it doesn't work because it does. I just wish that it worked a litter better: 1) because this is the first time that I am using a flat iron on my hair myself. Usually my hair dresser does it for me and she gets it bone straight. 2) I'm African American and my hair is thicker and curlier at the roots, and 3)my hair doesn't look THAT much different than before. I will say, however, that it is good for giving a nice curl at the end. I'm not going to say that I wasted my money. I'll give it a few more tries in between going to the salon. But for right now, I'm sticking with my stylist.

i have africann-american thick, coarse hair. This flat iron, paired with chi silk infusion for a heat protection made my hair silky straight, with lots of body. It was as if I had just come from the salon! I love the results! It works great, is farly cheap...and is baby pink! What more could a girl want?

I absolutely love this flat iron. There is no comparison to the cheap wal-mart flat irons. It heats up very very fast, has adjustable temperatures, and straightens my hair so much faster than my old one. I am so happy!

I have been using the Solia Pink flat iron for a month, and I have to say I love it, I had purchased a CHI flat iron before the Solia, and could not use it because it would get to hot a burn my hair, and it did not have any way to control the heat, just one temp. I have very fine curly hair and the Solia allows me to set the temperature. But always I must say pink is my color I am a girl you no.

This flat iron works really well, I have hair that has gotten coarse as I gray, so I wanted something that would work fast and make my hair shiney. It does both. No damage seen since use, for the price and no shipping I would recommend this iron.
