Amazing

Basically bought this because I couldn't figure out what to get for christmas and I needed a new hair dryer so I decided to splurge a litte and get this one (still didn't want to spend over 100 on a hair dryer). I thought it would dry my hair faster but couldn't possibly imagine how good this could be! My hair is straighter, less frizzy, shinier and just overall healthier since I don't have to blast it with heat for an hour every morning. It has cut my drying time down to 20 min from 60 and my ironing time down to 15 from 30. Absolutely amazing!

I just decided to get a new dryer..I had a remington Vortex which had always been "ok". I wish I had changed LONG before now. I have THICK COARSE CURLY chin length hair and I usually dry it and then have to flat iron to get the fuzzy out. This dryer dried in HALF the time (or less) and my hair was soft and already 3/4 straight! Love it!

This hair dryer is amazing! It is sort of on the heavier side, but not heavy enough to make me uncomfortable. I can finally get my hair really straight even before using a flat iron! I will definitely buy another Solia hair dryer in the future. My hair was silky smooth after using this dryer. I am truly amazed at how great this dryer is because it gets hot, but not too hot and using the concentrator nozzle really made a difference also. I tried a Rusk Speed Freak dryer and it was too hot and too heavy to hold comfortably. This tops every dryer I have tried!

Ionic hair dryer

I have wanted to try an ionic hair dryer for awhile, but the prices were always too high. When I saw this price,I decided to go for it. My hair is thick and very hard to manage. I can definitely tell a difference using this hairdryer. Especially if I dont let my hair dry by itself at all. My hair is much smoother and easier to manage. Dryer is very heavy and has a long, thick & bulky cord. Overall, I am happy with it.

I love my new dryer. I have thick hair and it takes no time in the morning to dry it. It makes my hair so soft and it is not frizzy at all.It is light weight and easy to opperate. I wish I would have spent the money a long time ago it is worth it. The dryer is very durable and you couldn't get a better deal.
Best investment

This is the best hair dryer I have ever owned! After spending a lot of money every month to have my hair colored, it would look horribly frizzy and blah when I would dry it at home. I used the same products as the salon. I rinsed with cold water like the salon. I blow dryed my hair downward like the salon. I used the same boar bristle brush like the salon. The only difference left was the hair dryer. I will always use a higher quality hair dryer from now on. Now I get that salon blown shine and manageability on my own! Truly worth the investment!

I have really frizzy hair so I have to blowdry every other day. Not only does this leave my frizzy hair silky and smooth, but it is also much, much faster than my previous Hot Tools blowdryer -- I cut down my morning routine from 70 to 35min.

I have the T-3 Thermal Ionic dryer and I liked it fine. Then I bought the Solia 1875W Thermal Ionic for my daughter, mainly because it was so much less expensive. After using hers, I realized this dryer is actually BETTER that the $150 one I already had! So I ended up buying the Solia for myself. I am convinced this dryer helps tame frizzy, curly hair like mine. My method is this: after washing your hair, towel dry a bit, then use a de-frizz serum like Kerastase or Sedu, then blow half dry with the Solia. Using a Marilyn round brush, finish the straightening i.e. blow dry with brush and dryer. Then for a final straightening smoothing, use a bit more Sedu serum and flatiron your hair. I really love this dryer and so does my daughter. I recommend this to anyone over the much higher-priced thermal dryers like T-3.
Unbelievable!

I love this hair dryer. I was about to cut my hair because it was becoming more and more difficult to manage the longer it became. It would literally take me 2 hours to dry my hair. I bought this hair dryer because I wanted to try to cut down on maintenance time. OMG! The best thing I ever did was to invest in this dryer. The very first time I used it, my hair was dry in 40 minutes! I couldn't believe it. I have very curly thick hair and it does wonders. At work they think I've been going to the salon. I won't tell if you don't. LOL! :-) Highly recommended! A little heavy both in price and weight but definitely worth it.

I bought this dryer because it was so well-reviewed, but sent it back because it did not perform as expected. It did dry my hair very quickly, but when using medium or high heat, the dryer smelled like it was burning. Also, I saw no difference in the softness of my hair.

All my other dryers made me sooo hot!!! This one actually has cool air coming out the back....dries hair nice and smooth and it lightweight. I have used other brands of Ionic dryers...really like this...the buttons ?? ...well they do occasionally turn off because of placement, but you get used to it, and it is so worth it.

A Very Good Dryer

Overall, I would say this dryer is very, very good, just takes a bit of getting used to the settings. The 1st time I used it I wasn't thrilled w/it, but after that initial trial, I DO like it a lot & would recommend it to others, it's just that I've been spoiled by T3 Tourmaline Ionic Dryer ($200), which I absolutely ADORED,but after wear & tear (I've had it for about 2 years) the cord lost connection & it wouldn't power on anymore, but I suppose it's from my carelessness & not the dryer itself. If you don't mind spending the extra $, definitely get the Tourmaline, although this is a great, cheaper alternative. I also own a Solia flat iron, which I absolutely can't live without!
Love it!

i am a hairdresser of 30 years and swore by the super solano for decades. i now own the solia and it is light years ahead of the solano. i also have used my coworkers t3 and it is exceptional also so here are the differences. solano.. strong dryer and super hot, good professional dryer for industial use but fries hair. still uses old technology, of being purely hot and strong and is super heavy. the t3 is awesome but expensive. it is the lightest of all blowdryers, and really dries hair fast and the turmaline ionic infrared technology really speeds up hair drying process and makes the hair feel silky and soft. the only downside for me is that there are only 2 settings. the buttons are on the handle where the thumb has a tendency to keep turning it off. and that for me is irritating. plus the airflow is weak. i am amazed how fast it dryes hair for such weak airflow. and is very quiet. for those that need lightweight it is the best one out. but pretty pricey. and now for the solia. wow!!!!!!!!!!! its extremely hot, strongest airflow around, has 6 settings, and dries hair faster and smoother than anything ive ever laid my hands on. and thats over a span of 30 years. plus it is half the price of the t3. now for the downside. it is about 2 lbs. not the heaviest but definately solid and has good weight to it. not recommended for those that prefer lighter dryers and arms get tired fast. and the highest setting is primarily for blast drying the hair from soaken wet to dry in the fastest possible time around. once i blast dry the hair 75 to 80% I then use the highest heat setting with the medium airflow setting for round brush styling and smoothing.for less flat and more volume use the cool air blast on each section after heating it up to set the hair to the brush size you are using, otherwise if you use the highest flow setting while round brushing you are pretty much getting the same results as when using a flat iron. it just makes the hair too straight. now thats a good thing for long frizzy thick curly hair. but for medium straight to fine hair it is overkill. the great news is that it is, when using it properly, the most versatille dryer around. for the price it is even better than the 200 dollar dryers. the only thing i dont know about solia is how good the company is with waranty and repairs. but for the price you can get 2 compared to more expensive dryers that arent as superior. i hope this helps. and p.s. always, always use product specific for your hair type before drying. it maximizes results. for frizzy hair use serums, smoothing gels and creams. for fine hair use leave in conditioner preferebly the spray kind that has heat protection and does not make the hair oily or flat.

mr. Tony
