I love this hair dryer!

I have really thick & curly hair that comes to the middle of my back. This dryer completely dries my hair in ten minutes. At the salon, they have to sit me underneath the dryer after blow drying it with a hand dryer. This saves me money and time. It usually takes at least six hours at the salon and over $100.00. Good for all races.
okay but hoped for better

It does the job but takes a little longer than I'd like and feels heavier in my hand than I'd like.
THE BEST ONE SO FAR

I was hoping that this dryer would last a while considering it was $80. I bought this for my mother, she takes real good care of her things so I know that it was not abused or dropped. Also, it is silly that there is not a diffuser that cordinates with it.
Skeptic no More!

I purchased 2 of these hair dryers for my daughters. At first, I couldn't believe I was paying this much for a hair dryer until they started using it. It has cut back on the time it takes them to get ready. It's fast and thier hair even looks better. I have to admit that I'm jealous. I've used it several time myself and do intend on buying me one now. What a difference the "right" hair dryer makes! Who'd ever thought?!
Not Buzzworthy

This dryer just didn't cut the cheese for me. It seems this works better for people with curly/thick hair, as the reviews would suggest. I don't recommend for people with straight/fine hair. I'm not sure if it's because of the ions, but this dryer made my hair really flat and lifeless. It also had a pretty strong burnt motor smell upon the first week or 2 of use. It got better as the days passed, so I guess it needed to be broken in? I also wasn't impressed with the design of the dryer. Even my husband was like what an ugly dryer. Looks aside though, I absolutely hated the placement of the controls. I kept accidentally turning it off since the controls are large and right smack in the middle of the handle. Anyway, it had to go back. I wanted to like this as the price was reasonable and it got so many positive reviews here, but alas, it wasn't to be. I returned with no problem within the month and purchased the Sedu Revolution instead (the black one). It's definitely a lot more expensive but way worth the extra $$. It has a switch to turn off the ions, so I believe it's better for achieving volume for my hair type.
Not what I expected at all.

I'll be honest, I love Solia's straightener but I can't say the same for their dryer. I'll be returning mine after just three months since my purchase. The dryer just doesn't get hot enough to dry the hair and in the end you spend way too much time attempting to do so.
Very Impressed!

I've never been one to buy more expensive dryers but after reading the reviews I'm glad I did. I had a Hot Tools dryer one time that I paid a little more for but it took so long to dry my hair I went back to my basic $25 dryers. I bought the Solia Flat Iron and saw this dryer under the related products and decided to give it a try. The two make a great combo. After drying my hair normally it still has a lot of frizz and poof, but after using the Solia dryer I could see a big difference. It didn't have near the frizz or the poof, and is also very powerful and makes my drying time a lot shorter. The only negative thing I can say is that it's a little heavier than my other dryers, but it's well worth it!
Like it...but don't love it

I bought this because of the rave reviews. I am going to have to say that it is average. I had a cheap 1875 watt hairdryer that works just as fast as the Solia. I do have to say that my hair comes out more sleek and not as frizzy as the cheap one. But only when used with an ionic brush. Is it worth the price? Probably...considering it is relatively inexpensive. I do recommend you purchase a ionic brush. It will help with the whole sleek and smooth affect.
I like it

I bought this dryer few weeks back to replace my old hair dryer. Drying is not significantly faster compared to my old one, but it definitely leaves my hair more shiny, smooth and frizz-free. It is slightly heavy but very manageable for personal use. I hardly use my CHI straightener for anything but minor finishing since I've bought this. My natural hair is voluminous-dry-wavy and have always needed a straightener in past to style them.
great dryer

it's a little heavier than my last dryer but the results are amazing. My hair is naturally thin and dry but using this hair makes it look and feel a lot healthier. I never understood why people buy expensive hair dryers but it was definately worth the money.
Awesome!

I have to respectfully disagree with the comment below. I have been a hairdresser for 3 years and this is by far my favorite hairdryer. Ive had the Chi(s), Super Salano, and Centrix. All cost more than this dryer and do not compare in my opinion. Ive noticed the hair is drying not only MUCH quicker but shinier and healthier looking. I do not have a problem with the weight and I use it all day long. So if you're just using this as a personal blowdryer...I wouldnt let the weight comments bother you. So far, Im extremely happy with this product :)

It was great while it worked... gave me super-smooth and shiny hair, but it stopped working at full speed for some reason only a few months after the warranty ended.

I purchased this blow dryer with the hopes of having a "quality" higher end product. After approx 20 (15-20min) uses it started to surge. After closer inspection I noticed there was sparking under the on/off switch. I could understand if this dryer was dropped or used extensively but it wasn't. Hopefully the replacement will be a bit more reliable. FYI - I will no longer be a client of Folica and I will stop recommending them to my friends and family. After sending an email that never was returned I called into customer service to find that I have to pay a $9.95 return fee. Amazing considering I am the one inconvenienced. I'm sure this review will never make it online - Good Bye Folica
Don't need to flat iron as often now! Thin hair has volume!

I have only ever bought Conair hair dryers in the past and now know what I've been missing (AND why my hair was falling out....)
I have had this dryer for a couple of weeks now and can't say enough good things about it.
It is easy to hold, not too heavy or large, long professional cord (with a fuse protector if it shorts the fuse), had different heat/fan settings and the best part, it makes my hair look and feel amazing.
I have long thin(ing) hair so I wanted something that would be safe to use while at the same time provide volume to my sometimes limp, lifeless hair.
I couldn't be more different. I don't even have to flat iron my hair most days now because this dryer does such a good job to begin with. Mostly I just blow dry my hair upside down and head to work, AND it's quick. I can dry my hair completely in 10 mins.
My hair is totally thanking me now, and is looking better than it has in YEARS! I wish I would have known the real difference between Conair products and the real thing years ago. Oh well, now all I can do is pass along the review of an amazing product! Enjoy!

I have fine hair that got dry after blow-drying until I got this dryer. My hair just felt so much healthier and looked shinier after I used this for the first time, I really saw and felt the difference. I did a lot of shopping around, and this one is really a good value. I highly recommend. I use it with my Solia ceramic/tourmaline flat iron and the results are great. My hair has never looked so healthy and shiny!! I haven't even had to use the highest heat fan setting yet because even on the lower one my hair dries super fast. Again, my hair is on the finer side, so if you have thicker hair I guess it may be worthwhile to look into a lighter model, but for normal to fine hair, it's not really necessary because you won't be spending that long drying it anyway.
Hot Hot Hot!!!!!!!

This blow dryer does cut my drying time in half but it is extremely hot. I have to hold it farther away from my scalp to make sure it doesn't burn my head. I tryed tunring to the lower heat setting but then it's pretty much just room temperature air blowing out of it. They should have added a few more temperature settings.
Great dryer!!

I got the solia bundle (iron, dryer, and curling iron) for $99 as a christmas present. This dryer is AWESOME. It drys my hair in record time and my hair actually feels healthier after drying. It is not heavy to me and the cord is really long which I like. Solia makes the greatest products and I am very pleased.

Great tool!! - I tried it for the first time and fell in love with it!! Not only did it dryed my hair faster, it left my wavy hair so straight and shiny... the best hair dryer I've ever had!! Not so noisy, lightweight, remember to read the tips on how to take care of it too, be gentle to it as this will be your best friend!
