My hair is very curly naturally. I used a steam straightener for a few months (Which totally sucked), but it broke, so I got this one, because my cousin had it. It is a great straightener, but it's very big. When I ordered it, I was really happy because I wanted a big straightener. Unfortunately, after a while it gets somewhat annoying.
Aside from that, it is a really great product.
I recomend it.

I have tried many different flat irons.... this is the ONLY one that actually gives you a smooth straight finish. All the others I have tried left my hair frizzy... I can use this in any weather and it stays perfect!!!!

I've been straightening my hair my entire life (before flat irons were invented LOL) This is by far the BEST flat iron ever and I've used at least 20 different types, from cheap to very expensive. Nothing compares to this solano sapphire. I've had it for 7 years now and I'm finally forced to buy a new one because I've dropped it so many times. But it still works, I can just tell it's about to break and I don't want to be caught without it. It's never burned my hair or torn it or got stuck in it. I love the big plates too. I can even curl my hair under if I want or wear it stick straight. I really can't say enough about it. You won't be sorry.
This is by far the BEST flat iron ...

Not to lie... I've owned this flat iron for 10 years now, and it is yet to fail me! Just yesterday I figured Its time to upgrade, so i went and bought a CHI... WHAT a joke!!! after 5 min with the CHI i was right back to my trusty Salono. I swear by this thing and would recommend it to anyone who's in the market to purchase a flat iron.

I have owned A LOT of flat irons in my life time, and not a SINGLE one of them does better than this flat iron. You are able to freely move your flat iron through your hair and style all at the same time. Thanks for the handy comb, it helped to keep from getting the scrunched up hair, or having it get caught in the flat iron and get pulled out. OUCH!! If you are debating on whether or not to buy this product, take it from me, you will LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! This will definatly be the place I will come to buy a new flat iron, just as a back up!! lol

I first got introduced to this iron from my hair dresser whose been using it for years and has satisfied many of his customers. When he first did my hair i couldn't believe how straight it was. I mean it was pin straight. I couldn't believe it because i have really curly hair. But with my turbo blower and solano iron my hair looked like i was born with straight hair. I also like the FHI..thats another good iron.

This is the best flat iron I've ever owned. I've got frizzy, wavy, thick hair and when I was younger I used to HATE my hair because I live in the humid south and nothing I did to my hair lasted 2 minutes once I walked outside! I just purchased my second Solano Flat Iron with Temperature Control (the first one lasted me for 6 years before finally going kaput). When I told my husband I was making the purchase he could not understand why I would need to spend over $100 on a flat iron, couldn't I just buy a cheaper one? NO! This is the only flat iron I've used that doesn't rip and dry out my hair and that keeps it smooth and straight in the hot and humid southern summers. Even the other expensive brands don't work as well in my opinion. One big plus is the comb - it helps keep your hair untangled while flatening and also protects it from bunching up and being ripped and torn. The iron works miracles on mine and my sister's hair (hers is frizzy, curly and thick like mine) and I've seen it straighten spiral curls into long, silky, straight strands. Amazing! I wouldn't buy anything else! This will be the best investment you make if you have difficult hair!

This is the best straightening iron i have ever used!!! It used to take me 30 minutes to get my hair somewhat straight.. not it takes 10 and its poker straight!!
It was so worth the money.. you get what you pay for!!!

I absoulutely love this flat iron! I have thicker, long, course hair (and frizzy!) and it makes my hair look soft, smooth and silky every time. It's like I have a whole new head of hair. And once I got comfortable with the iron I can now curl my hair under or flip it - depending on my mood and the style stays all day. The iron is very user friendly. I can straighten my hair in a quarter of the time that it took with my old iron. I would definitely recommend it to a friend!! Love it!!

The best straightener! My daughters and I use it and have used it for years. We all have long, thick hair and it straightens so well...the teeth keep the hair in place and catch it and then straighten it..like no other. Totally worth the money! Buy it now!

I am 22 yrs old and as all of us girls know - our hair HAS TO LOOK GEAT ALL THE TIME!!! I have very thick, wavy hair - and alot of it - and this is the first flat iron i have ever come across that actually STRAIGHTENS my hair perfectly. My hair is soft, smooth, silky and dead straight and still has body to it. Now my hair stays straight in this NJ humidity for upto THREE DAYS!!! Also my other flat irons took me 1 hour - 1 1/2 hours to completely straighten my hair. The Solano takes me 25 MINUTES ... what a awesome time saver and a GREAT product. I really hope this iron lasts me a LONG LONG time.

This is actually my second Solano flat iron. I love this iron. I have naturally curly unmanageable hair and this is the ONLY flat iron that makes my hair look and feel silky. You will not regret this flat iron. Simply the BEST....

I Love this Iron and so do all my clients. I am a hairstylist in NYC and everyone raves about their hair and say their hair lasts them up to a Week!!! I have seen frizzy wild hair become Silky...and Straight. I am not one to buy a lot of hair products but this one came highly reccomended by my fellow co workers..
If you are thinking of buying a FlatIron this is def the best!!!!

I have used the Solano Sapphire Collection Flat Iron (2¼")for about 5 years and it's still working well. I truly love it. There's no other product like it. I had to buy a new one, the Solano Flat Iron with Temperature Control, because my other iron, i guess since I've had it for so many years and I use hair dressing in my hair, it developed some built up on the iron. But still works. Anyway, I decided to buy another one, which is the Solano Flat Iron with Temperature Control and I couldn't believe how GREAT it works!!! It truly is the best out there, the best iron ever. I give it 5 stars, no doubt about it. It truly straightens my hair like never before and does not frizz my hair. I have dry, frizzy and a lot of hair, and with this Iron it truly straightens my hair and looks like I have a little bit of hair. Nothing has worked for my hair like the Solano Flat Iron with Temperature Control. I can't express it enough how great this Iron is. I truly love it. It truly works great. I would suggest that everybody should own one.

I bought this flat iron for my daughter for Xmas who has very curly thick long hair. It used to take her over an hour to do her hair with the other popular used flat iron. This new Solano has cut her time down in half!!!!! It was praised by all the hairdressers I go to, and now I have a very happy daughter!!!!!! PS. The only downside is she refuses to share with me or her 3 sisters!!!!!!!

I am on my second Solano flat iron. My hair dresser used this on me a few years ago-and I went right out and bought one then. The first one lasted about 4 years and when it died~I got another one real fast. I've not used anything but this to straighten my hair-last week my hair dresser commented on what good shape my hair was in!!!!! I use this every single night, so I am glad its not frying my hair!! I would definitely repurchase!

This flat iron did me good for 3 years! I have medium length extremely frizzy puffy curly hair. When i first used this product i was upset because i didnt know how to hold it because it is heavy! But when i got the hang of it I was absolutley amazed by this product! I highly reccomend it to anyone!

I have very thick, long, curly hair and so far this is the only flat iron that gets my hair super straight. The iron is kinda big to handle, but it works really well for long hair since you can do bigger chuncks at a time.
