I started taking Shen Min about a week and a half ago...
I haven't seen a real difference as far as skin, hair, and nails yet...but I think it's still too soon.
However, I swear to you - I have lost weight because of this pill! If you read the back of the bottle it talks about "in so many words," flushing toxins to help rid of things in the body that may enable skin/hair/nails to look its best. I am a firm believer that having toxins in the body may interfere with weight loss as well. Any ways, I have not under any circumstances altered my diet or work-out in any way and I have lost 4lbs. in a week and a half. I can't prove that this product is what's causing this, but I am menstral at the moment, and usually I gain weight during this time. I have struggled with weight my entire life, taken a million different pill, shakes...done everything, and this stuff is crazy!!!
I'll keep you all up to date on if I see changes in "what it's intended for," but I thought I'd share that information to anyone who is interested in trying this product!
The only other advice I have is: "EAT WITH FOOD!" The first time I took them, my stomach wasn't the happiest...but after that, taken with food...no side effects at all!

I used this for about a month and my hair was looking pretty good.I think it works because my hair started shedding and looking poor after I stopped using it.It also made my nails grow =)

I have used Shen Min Adv formula for women and let me tell you, it works to stop hairloss after 3 to 4 weeks time (you will notice the difference on your hands and in the drain~almost no shedding with in a month). It does also thicken your hair. I tried other less expensive products and I am going back to Shen Min Adv. Formula~my hair was definitely healthier when taking daily. I wish it got rid of the grey for me but I will settle for thicker hair. Buy 3 mos. supply and you will see a difference.

I've been using this supplement for almost a month now. I haven't seen much noticeable changes but understand it takes 3 months for anything to occur. The pills are rather big and hard to swallow. Hopefully, it will be worth the money and effort.

I suggest if you want to try this product, buy two bottles because it's supposed to take four or five weeks to work and one bottle lasts one month.
I bought the product because my hair suddenly got a lot of gray and I thought it might be caused by stress or bad nutrition so the product might work. After a month I bought another bottle even though I hadn't noticed an improvement in the gray. Some people say this product helps give them energy and a sharper mind, and I think that is true for me. Whether it improves my hair or not, I like taking it.
I ordered the second bottle when there were just a few pills left, and they got it to me right away. I also ordered the Youth Hair cream. Then when I washed my hair, I noticed a lot of small new hairs around my forehead. The Youth Hair cream made my hair a little darker within just a couple of days, and since I was washing my hair without using conditioner like they recommend, the little hairs were sticking out and were noticable. The darker hair also made it noticable that my hair was thinning more than I realized. I knew it was thinning, but it's a little worse than I thought. I had the same problem when I was a poor, malnourished, stressed grad student, and was able to improve my hair by going to a health food store and loading up on foods that were recommended for hair growth in their reference book. After that, my hair also grew longer than usual.
These pills are simpler but I have yet to know if they'll work as well. It takes awhile to get results, no matter what you do. I have a week of pills left and the little hairs have gotten longer but I don't know if there are enough of them. I can see hairs around the edge of my forehead, but I can't see any new hairs in the first half inch of scalp on the top three inches of my forehead where the thinning is. The pills didn't seem to do anything about the gray, but the cream is helping with that. So if the supplements end up working, who'll know!
I think it's good to take supplements with a problem like this because the stress and/or malnutrition that's causing it could cause other health problems too. Since there's a different herbal formula from a different website that I want to try for something entirely different, I'll probably stop taking this for now and get some other nutritional items instead. I know that cod liver oil, seaweed and pumpkin seeds are good for the hair.
I do think this formula helped stimulate a little bit of new growth. If you're really serious about hair growth, I'd suggest supplementing it with some other things, like cod liver oil (or flaxseed oil? I don't remember.) I know a lady that's taking cod liver oil, it makes her hair really shiny and healthy-looking. I also read somewhere that B-vitamins are good for hair growth - especially biotin and panthenol. I have been using shen min for a week now. I started losing hair a couple of years ago. I have severe nausea and stomach pain using shen min that I have to stop. It does seem to have stopped the hair from falling out during the first week of use, but the upset stomach is alot worse than the hair loss.

I've used this product before when I lost a great deal of my hair due to stress/trauma. The loss usually occurs 3-4 months after the event(s). After taking this product for 3 months I had lots of new hair growth. Now I am taking it again and hope to see the same results in a couple months. It was worth the money for me.

SHIN MIN has worked for me. I am a 43 yrs old black female. I noticed, as i get older my hair is thinning. I started using shin min on a regular basis and i noticed my hair started growing.
My beautician stated at my last visit that my hair is growing. My hair is now starting to thicken up.
Everyone one may experience different results. If you are not satified, stop using the product and find something that will work for you. I am sticking with shin min.

My hair grows very, very slowly. In fact, I haven't had it cut in about 20 years but it never got more than collar length. I have tried all sorts of supplements and topical products that claim to accelerate hair growth but none of them worked. Reluctantly I decided to try Shen Min, telling myself that I was probably wasting more money on yet another worthless ripoff. Hope springs eternal, though, and I'm glad it does. Within one month I noticed about half an inch worth of growth. I figured it was probably wishful thinking, but went ahead and bought a bottle for the second month. By the end of the second month, others were starting to comment that my hair looked a little longer (I hadn't told anyone I was trying something new). Now I'm at the end of the third month and realize that this definitely isn't imaginary. I believe my hair has grown about two inches and it definitely feels heavier and is at my shoulders. I am so used to getting ripped off by products that don't work as they're advertised that I figured I needed to give a good review to one of the very few products I've ever bought that does live up to its billing.

I have never had long hair before. My hair is naturally curly and everyday i would straighten it. Since my hair is not thick I was ruining it making it dry and the split ends would force me to cut it often. I stopped straightening and started taking Shen Min. I do notice a big change in my hair. It looks fuller at the top and It did grow even though i have only taken these vitamins for 3 months. I recommend this this product!

I used these pills committedly & correctly with a healthy diet for almost 18 months with NO results what-so-ever. Hair kept falling, falling, falling... nothing grew back.
I have been off the pills for 6 months and nothing has changed with my hair loss situation, its as if I never took the pills.
I personally believe those women writing positive reviews have something else to credit for the stop of their hairloss situation, b/c this sh**ty product is definately not the reason why they think they would even consider recommending this waste of money to others.
Simply does not work, I absolutely agree with HairAngel on every aspect.

I have been using this product (the vitamins and the hair activator) for six months and have seen a difference.
No......I didn't wake-up two months later with long beautiful hair. But six months later, my hair care provider has noticed a couple of inches of new hair growth. She also noticed that my grey strands are black at the roots. I still have grey hair.......but the grey strands are blacker at the base.
My reality......it will take two years for my to grow to the length I want........but my new growth is healthier and blacker. Because it is healthier it will grow longer.
It isn't a miracle drug.......but given time you will be peased with the product. I believe in two years my hair will be longer, healthier, and blacker with the products than if I didn't use the products.

This product has proven to be very good. I'm in my early 20's and noticed hair loss. It was a bit scary as it wasn't alot of hair but instead strands of hair everywhere. It was on the car seat, all over my sheets, and on all of my shirts. I blamed it on the water, and possibly stress. Well I did two things, I started taking these vitamins and bought a shower filter. I now have strong beautiful healthy hair. U can see growth of shorter hair all around. This product is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone starting to have a hairloss problem.
good luck to everyone purchasing this product!! Oh and I don't know if it's the vitamins but I also found increased energy with them.
Vitamin overdose (or "underdose") can harm too.

It's amazing how a product can work wonders in some and horrors in others. For what I noticed, Shen Min is loaded with the essential vitamins and minerals that are proven to benefit -in this case in the woman- the hair. The reason why it may work well with some women and not with others, check your daily input on all the vitamins and minerals listed on the bottle's label. For example, an excess of vitamin A can not only cause the total reverse on the result (instead of helping hair grow it will cause it to fall) but it can also be fatal. So could be of negative result the overdose in other kind of vitamins. Do your survey. An excess of vitamin intake does not have to necessarily be out of the bottle, but of what a person consummes in meals/snacks in a daily basis. I believe that Shen Min has the potential to be a great product although I do not use it, but I also think that you should pay attention at why something works or not for you. The following is just a little tip for women in their late thirties and over fourties who suffer from hair fall. Check closely your life style. Have you been eating well? Could you be lacking vitamins and minerals? Could you have developed Iron Anemia? Could you be suffering from thyroidal problems such as the most common Hypothydorism which is due to hormones imbalance? Is the water you are using for bathing safe, for example, does it contain chlorine and other harmful chemicals or natural minerals that damage your hair and skin? There are great and very affordable filters for sale that would solve this problem. All of these that I mentioned above cause hair loss! I may sound like I am trying to "teach" the rest of the world on a subject, but I myself have been struggling to find solutions for this crisis called "hair fall" and I know how it feels to be going through this. Because I found little answers for a lot that I tried out there, I decided to make my own surveys, and I guess that all that I have found out for myself has helped and given me hope, so I wanted to share with others. The best things to do if you liked what I wrote is to mention it to your physician. He/she then can help with the rest.
