My daughter has thick corse hair that takes much heat to straighten. I purchased this straightener and was very pleased with it as it worked like a dream. After about three months of light use the item began to shut off during sessions and soon after shut down completely. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!!!
The iron seems to work great but only for a short time.

I bought this iron and loved it since I have curly ethnic hair-not coarse, just curly...loved that it heated so quicklt but didn't fry my hair. Then, after about 70 days, the darn thing stopped working. Called the tel number on the box, no answer. Emailed sexy hair and they pushed me off onto someone else. I only paid $ 50 but you do expect a product to work longer than a few months. I'll give it thumbs down based on the customer service alone. Don't buy it.

I bought this flat iron 6 month ago, there is a few thing I don't like about it. 1. does not glide down smoothly, 2. Its burn my hair before it really straighten out my corse hair, 3, lastly, now it won't even turn on, it broken and I paid when it on sale $100 dollar for it. I thought if spend a little more money I would get high quality flat iron, boys I was so wrong....

I bought this online after trying to use an in-expensive one that pulled my hair. This was so easy to use, didn't pull my hair and produced the volume I was looking for. Than out of the blue it just stopped working. I have owned it less than 3 months, not a good value in my opinion. I will not buy another one from this brand.

This straightener is only suitable for 110-120 V. It is not dual voltage. You need a transformer to operate it with 220 V, which is the same as any other straightener you can buy in the U.S. An adaptor won't work because it doesn't convert the voltage.
The worse thing, however, was that this straightener wouldn't heat up to more than 86 degrees fahrenheit! Which was useless.

I have to say that this is a good straightner, especially if you have thick hair. It straightens fast, and does leave your hair soft, and silky. The only downside is there must be a defect in the wires, for it to stop working all together is not good. The first one I bought was at store, that stopped working all together, the second one I ordered from this website, it lasted only a week for me, and the same thing. It's not folica's fault that this happened. I was just dissapointed that I had to go through another one of these again. I've read the reviews on here about it, and so far they have good comments. I don't know why this one stopped working again.

I love my sexy hair curve controll flat iron. It's easy to manuever when I'm flat ironing those hard to reach areas. I love how fast it straigthens, and I have very curly hair. The only thing I would like to ask other customers who have this same iron is why does it shut off when I'm using it? I've only had it for a week, I turn it on, then it goes off within just seconds. I don't know if this is a safety feature, but I would like to know because it's an awesome flat iron, and I don't know if it's suppossed to do that. Overall I love it.

FYI this is not a dual voltage flat iron. I received it 3 days ago and there were no directions for overseas use. I spoke to Folica and they said you needed a converter and adapter. Too much weight to take in a suitcase. I was disappointed that this wasn't explained to me before I ordered it. On a good note, it did look like a good flat iron

I am a professional hairstylist and have owned this product before. I used mine at my salon on almost every client for several years and it finally gave out. I loved it so much I purchased a second time. I have also ordered for my clients as they loved it and it was easy for them to use at home.
