Great for 11 months

Like everyone else is saying, it really is a nice flat iron but it's lack of durability ruins everything good about it. Mine lasted only 11 months. It would be nice for an appliance like this to at least last 2 years.

My boyfriend gave me this straightener about 3 years ago and I loved it, but it stoped working after about 2 months. My brother fixed it and it worked perfectly, but about 7 months ago it stoped working again and there was no way to fix it, so I bought another one in Folica. It worked for about 3 months and it started turning off by itself, so this time I fixed it myself. I opened (cut the plastic carefully) the cord very close to the straightener, and I discovered that the little wires inside of the plastic cord were tore apart, so I put them together, then I typed the cord. That's exactly what happened with the first one, so I new what to do this time. I think there is a manufacturing problem in that part of the cord. Hope they can fix it so nobody else has the same problem.

I agree with Sarah. I ordered my product in April 2009 and by August 2009, every time I flip it over, it shuts off. Before it started doing that, I loved it, however, now it is very frustrating that it keeps turning off.

I loved this flat iron... until it stopped working after about a month! It worked wonderfully curling and straightening, but now it turns off every time you flip it over.

i just got this straightner/bad curler roughly a month ago. It works well for the most part for straightning but dont let the IT CAN CURL HAIR TOO trick you. all that will do is give a crappy crimp job. if your looking for a good hair straightner and/or curler just try and dig out the money for a simple 1inch flat iron chi. The person who cuts my hair curled it with a 6 year old chi i looked buetiful!!!!!
