Okay but you can get the same effect with a regular barrel iron

I must own about 6 different types of curling irons and I thought this one would produce more of a spiral but it doesn't really do anything different than what you could do with a regular barrel iron. If you want a spiral curl you can't clamp the hair and roll upwards with the curling iron horizontal to the floor. You have to:
-Clamp the iron near the top of your head almost *vertically* and roll a few inches of hair, hold a few seconds
-Then, slightly release the clamp a little, slide the iron down while rolling the next few inches of hair, then hold a few seconds, etc.
-Keep repeating until you get to the bottom of your hair. You will look like Goldilocks at first, but leave the curls the way they are until they're cool. Once your hair is cool, brush through with your fingers.
I personally thing a regular barrel is easier to work with if you use the method I described above. The shorter clamp is helpful sometimes but not worth buying this iron if you already have a regular curling iron.
good

This is the perfect size curling iron. The little grip at the end is perfect for someone like me who burns there fingures all the time. I love it.
Not as versatile as its cracked up to be

This has a very stubby clamp. it only clamps small amounts of hair at a time. I thought this would be a good tool to help me grow my hair back out (to use with a variety of hair lengths as my hair grew). This is really for making long spiral curls, not for shorter hair.
