Quick but not silent

I was really hoping that this would be "ultrasilent" but it's not. It does dry my thick hair fairly fast and the cool shot actually works. I would recommend it (and have) to many others.

I bought it about 2 months ago. I was extremely happy when I got it. But now it just doesn't seem any better to me than my old $29 hair dryer. Yes it's quieter but it still makes noise. If I dry my hair with the medium heat it takes forever so I have to use the high heat to get it dry and that isn't good for my hair to dry it under extreme heat every day. Live and learn....

I bougth this about 2 month ago. I am sorry but don't be fooled by what you read. You can't get what you pay for at a Salon. You just can't. This blower dryer is okay and it gives off good shine but don't expect to get results like in a salon. Plus this dryer alreay broke on me, the hot air does not work anymore. I got so disgusted for paying so much for the darn thing I threw it away.

This is a great product. I never realized that a hair dryer could work that well. I always thought it would be the hair products. Really well spent money. I spend $$$ alot to get my hair straight and non frizzy. Highly recommend this product.

I purchased this dryer about a month ago and wanted to wait to see how it performs before writing a review. I have to say, it is an excellent dryer! It dries my hair so quick and I actually don't mind blowdrying my hair. My hair feels better and healthier too. It is very expensive, but I don't mind spurging if it means spending less time on my hair. It's worth a try, you won't be disappointed!

I'm not one to write reviews, but I had to come back here and give a huge thumbs up on this one. My hair is usually a frizzed out, dry-looking mess after blow drying and before flat ironig. With this dryer the frizz is cut down about 95%, and my hair is shinier,too. I still flat iron (which is also a Sedu and is phenominal)but it's so much easier because my hair is so much more managable. The dryer cuts about 2 or 3 minutes off my drying time with far less heat. My old dryer used to be so hot I would be melting by the time my hair was dry. Not so with this one. It dries the hair without making me feel like I've just worked out. Definitely a winner. I would highly recommend it.

I have a T3 Travel dryer that I have loved and used for almost two years. I wanted a new dryer with a cool shot for home, but still plan on using my T3. I originally was going to purchase a T3, but after reading lots of reviews, I decided to try the Sedu Ultrasilent. (I have a Sedu Flatiron that I purchased from Folica that I LOVE)
Wrong choice for me on the dryer - blew tooo strong and tooo hot. My hair looked horrible and frizzy after using it. I tried using the different noxzzles/settings to no avail. It is on its way back for an exchange. May work for some - but not for my fine, extremely highlighted 47 yr old hair! Thank goodness for the Folica 30 return policy.

This product is everything they say it is; lightweight, quiet, dries hair fast. I love the separate switches for heat and settings of low/med/high. Most hair dryers are high and high heat only. This product is great! Well worth the money.

I like this product -- seems to do what it says it does -- dries hair quickly. However, a few weeks after I received it -- when I had only used it two or three times (I don't blow dry every day) --the dryer began making a terrible grinding sound, like a piece inside had broken off. I sent it back to be replaced under warranty (btw, shipping and handling cost you an additional $10.00) but am concerned that others in the reviews have had the same exact experience. If the product is breaking this often, then Folica should stop carrying it or at the very least stop charging the shipping and handling fee when it breaks. Given how much the product costs, there seems to be an unacceptable number of problems with the quality.

I bought this because i needed a silent hair dryer. This one is not remotely silent. Very disappointed. Plus the nozzles keep coming off. Not fun. otherwise average.

At first I loved the results of this dryer, however, after a few weeks of use it sparked while drying and began to blow out very heavy, grey smoke and died. I believe the motor may have blown. I returned it and may purchase a Solia or Babyliss instead. Definitely not worth the money.
Is it really worth the money?

Well, after using this product for 2 weeks, I would say YES. My hair dried quick without looking like a frayed mess. Almost as good as a salon blow-out. But the true deciding factor for me to give this an excellent rating was when my husband said, "Your hair sure is shiny today". And trust me, if you have ever had coarse thick hair that has been processed (highlights, lowlights and the sort) then you know that is the upmost compliment.
I will agree that it isn't ultrasilent but it's not like a jet engine either. I would say that it's an average sounding blow dryer.
And in closing I will add, as my mother always says, "You have to suffer to be beautiful", so pay for the dryer because the only thing that will suffer is your pocketbook!

I was excited and nervous to spend so much money on a blow dryer for personal use, but when I turned on the product, it immediately started producting a grinding metal sound. Not exactly what I expected. I think I'm going to go for a BaByliss which may not last as long, but will cost me a lot less.

Really does cut down on drying time. I was done drying fully in about 5 min as oppoosed to about 10 with my other dryer. My hair was also less frizzy than it was after drying with my old dryer (not miracle worker though). I must admit that it's pretty expensive for a dryer, but it does work better than any other dryer I have had. Don't expect to have perfectly amazing, straight out of the salon, kind of hair if it's usually frizzy. It's not perfect but much better than other things on the market.

I have actually noticed a difference in my hair since I've started using this. It is shinier after being dried, even before I flat iron it. Also my drying time has been cut in half! I have a LOT of hair and I went from drying it in 20 minutes to under 10 with this dryer. So basically faster drying AND my hair looks better.

It only takes about 5 minutes for me to blow dry my hair with the Sedu Ultrasilent Dryer. It was a bit expensive, but you get what you pay for!

My hair is a lot softer and no frizziness. It has a lot of body and feels great! I think it is definitely worth the price!
