I have to say that this is the best hair dryer I have had yet, but not as good as I was anticipating. However, it is like it says and is quieter than than my last couple of higher dollar dryers and lighter too. I wouldn't say that is drys my hair any faster, though. It takes the same amount of time as the couple of others that I have had and I cut about 6 inches off of my hair! Overall, I got a great deal that was advertised and some cool gifts to go with it. I use my silicone hot pad more than anything else! So good dryer for the price, but surely not the best one out there.

I hestitated forever to pay so much money for a hairdryer, but am so glad I did. I read all the reviews and hemmed and hawed. This is a great product. My hair really does dry in more than half the time as before and it is shiny like when I go to the salon. It has been years since I've received as many compliments on my hair. With a great cut and good styling products...this hairdryer and Sedu flat iron are my new best friends.

This dryer is ok, but nothing really more than you could get from a less expensive dryer. And, some reviews have said it dries hair faster than others -- I have not found that to be the case.

I had never heard of the Sedu hair dryer before I bought this one. I listened to the advice of the sales person at Folica and I am so pleased I did. This is undoubtedly the best hair dryer I have ever used. I have thin, soft straight hair and I need a dryer that doesn't dry my hair out. This one definitely does not. It leaves the hair in a silky and manageable state. I will never have any other hair dryer. Elizabeth in Anderson, S. C.

I just finished drying my hair with this dryer and it looks as great as when I had it colored/cut & styled last week. Very shiny and smooth! The dryer isn't nearly as heavy as my old Revlon and the 2-speed/heat settings are great. It also took half the time as usual to dry my hair. I have long, thick, wavy hair that was always fuzzy before - not any more! I wish I would have bought this long ago!

This is the first expensive hair dryer I've ever had, so I cant compare it to others..I do notice a huge difference though b/w this one and my old Vidal Sassoon hairdryer! I have alot of hair, and I straighten it- in general after using this dryer, I noticed that my hair is less static-y, less frizzy that with my previous dryer. Oh, and it dries your hair super fast too!!
Comfortable to use, dries hair quickly, and leaves hair smooth and shiny!

I decided to upgrade from my cheap ($30) drug store bought Vidal Sassoon hair dryer. My top criteria was that the dryer cut down on my drying time (I hate spending a long time on my hair), be comfortable to use (light weight and well designed), and leave my hair shiny and smooth (make my work worth it). This hair dryer has definitely met my expectations. I can dry my hair in 5 or 10 minutes (depending on whether I'm styling it or just flipping and drying). My arm never gets tired as it did with old dryers. And surprisingly, the hair dryer (with no product) leaves my hair smooth, shiny, and straighter. The only negative is that shiny, smooth, and frizzless means less volume.
FYI: My untreated brown hair is fairly thin, falls a few inches below my shoulders, and can vary from wavy/slightly frizzy to fairly straight with a few waves depending on the weather.
Great lightweight dryer!

I bought this dryer as my last stopped working. I have naturally frizzy hair, and flatiron it daily. I heard that having a good dryer makes a big difference if you are trying to achieve straight silky hair. My last dryer was a good dryer (the Babyliss Pro) I have to say that I like this dryer even better. It's light weight, and dries my hair quicker which means a lot when you are a working mom!
My sedu just gave out after a year!!!!!

I purchased this sedu blow dryer from folica last December. When I received it I did like the way it was very quiet however did not make styling and better than before. Well about 3 months ago(9 months after purchasing it) I started hearing like a rattling sound and sometimes it would take a few seconds to turn on. I would turn it on and I'd hear a buzzing for about 4 seconds and then it would finally turn on. So today I go to turn it on and it doesn't turn on I tried 3-4 times and nothing...basically $150.00 down the toilet since I tried to see if I could exchange it but warranty is covered for only a year. So two weeks after my warranty expired it goes out. I would have bought a less expensive brand that styles just as well and would still be working. I DO NOT recommend this dryer at all!!!!!

I purchased this dryer one week ago and I just love it. It is really worth the money. My hair is so smooth and shines! It feels so soft. It drys quickly on the medium setting, if I am in a hurry I use the hot setting. I am so glad that I found out about this brand. One of my coworkers said"your hair looks great,what have you done to it,looks different?" I am getting ready to order the straight iron of sedu. The reviews of the flat iron are excellent also, can't wait to get one.

I have had my Sedu dryer for about 1 year. I had previously owned a Solano which provided great drying for about 5-6 years.
While I absolutely loved my Sedu --I carefully read the reviews before deciding upon purchasing this one--and it really DOES work fantastically for thick, coarse textured long hair. It really does dry in half the time.
My disappointment is related to durability.
I have been very careful with my hair dryer, but yesterday it fell off the countertop onto the floor ONCE and is now internally messed up. The outside casing is fine. I realize that it did fall----but for heavens sake.....shouldn't it be just a bit more durable?
So there you go......fantastic dryer........know that if it accidentally falls--it's done. That is the reason for my "average rating"...........

I purchased this hair dryer after reading all the great reviews. I have to agree that it's a good hair dryer. I'm not sure if it's actually worth $130. I didn't feel like it reduced my hair drying time, it sure isn't silent and the buttons are placed in a very odd place. I keep pressing the buttons when I'm drying my hair and that's annoying. The dryer is super heavy and my hand gets tired half way throught the blow drying. I've had much lighter dryers. I like the way my hair feels, but I don't think it eliminates the frizz. That has to do with the products you apply on your hair and the type of brush you use when blowdrying. Look into other dryers, but if you have money to splurge, then go for it. I just think other dryers can do the job and you don't have to spend so much money on them.

I bought this hairdryer after doing a lot of research and reading a lot of reviews. I have never spent this much on a hairdryer, but let me tell you, it's worth every penny! My hair is smooth and frizz-free, it dries in half the time, or maybe even 1/3. I'm telling you, this is a great investment, and it's made well enough that it should last like an investment should! Get it, you won't regret it!!!!

The product does
1. Make my hair feel softer
2. Reduce frizz (to some extent)
3. Dry it way faster
The diffuser is great with this product to define curls. I am not sure its worth the cost, but its good!!

I am amazed by how fast this blow dryer is! What took me 15 minutes with my drugstore dryer now takes FIVE with the Sedu Ultrasilent (and that's starting with soaking wet hair). I felt silly spending so much because I don't have thick curly hair, but it was worth it! It makes my hair smoother, although I get a little less volume. I was very worried that the controls were in a bad spot, but it's really not a problem. Every once in a while I accidentally hit one of the controls, but it's not a big deal.

Ok, I can't really tell if it drys any faster but it is much lighter and I like that. I don't think it's quiet. Now their flat iron is top of the line. It slides down the hair like butter!!!

I got this hair dryer for my wife who in the past has spent lots of $$$ on dryers that couldn't handle the heat for as long as she likes to use it. She was burn'n out dryers every 6 to 12 months! I've never spent this much money on a hair dryer before. but it was well worth it!!!! She loves it and say's her hair comes out so smooth. The only problem she thought was the cold shot was a bit to strong.
I thought it was pretty quiet too! I give it 5-stars...two thumbs up!!!!!!!! :)

I can't say that this dryer is really ultrasilent, or that my hair doesn't feel a bit dried out from it (i have very thin hair that's pretty sensitive) but I don't have any complaints either. I don't know how much better other products out there are but I'm not expecting a dryer to perform miracles and make my hair fuller. I did a lot of research before purchasing and settled on this one because of the favorable price/quality ratio.

I love my new hair dryer. My hair was starting to show signs of dryness and this dryer has been great in not damaging it any further. Actually, it's looking much healthier. My bf truly appreciates that it is less noisy in the mornings while he is trying to sleep. According to him, it is much quieter than my old dryer. I live in FL where humidity is terrible and makes my hair big and not kept looking--not the style I'm looking for. I'm going for the long straight look. Since using this dryer, my hair has not had the fuzziness and bigness that I often would get when I would walk outside into the humid air---I should mention that my hair is extremely thick and has natural wave, therefore, it's a battle to make it stay straight and not look overtaken by the humidity.
