I spent a great deal of time searching for a dryer to use in my salon. I read the reviews of others and dicided this was the one I wanted to use. I purchased this hair drye because of previous reviews mentioning the quiet sound and long cord. Those were the two main requirements and after several weeks of use I can say my clients and I are both pleased with the results of their hair. Thank you so much I'm so happy I found SEDU!!
Lasted 3 years!

I am a hairdresser working full time and this dryer lasted me at least 3 years. I am on the site now to buy another one. It's lightweight and powerful, and has the perfect amount of heat, unlike CHI dryers, which get way too hot and burn the hair. I will never use another dryer!

Before purchasing this blow dryer, I bought the Conair tourmaline technology blow dryer from Wal-mart just to see if I could save money. However, I returned the Conair blow dryer after one use because it dried out my hair just like other drugstore blow dryers. I decided to take the plunge and order this blow dryer, since I already have the Sedu flat iron. This is an excellent blow dryer! My hair is now silkier and straighter. A professional blow dryer makes a world of difference. I am currently growing out my relaxer and with the Sedu flat iron and blow dryer I am able to straighten all of my hair, making it look like I have a relaxer. I highly recommend the Sedu products for those with natural African American hair or extremely curly hair. You will not regret it.
NOT Quiet at all

I bought this hairdryer because I wanted something quieter than the Elchim one I have. It's JUST as loud or louder. This is NOT quiet hairdryer. It might otherwise be good, but if you're buying it because you think it's quiet, please look elsewhere.
Good until it falls apart.

I bought this dryer a little over a year ago. Great reviews and it was replacing my old babybliss dryer. Worked well for about 5 months or so. It started making a funny noise and getting louder, then hotter. Now it makes a terrible screeching sound, it's so bad I can't even keep it on long enough to dry my hair. I'm looking for a new dryer, for the price it really wasn't worth it. Sedu needs to work on it's quality or lower the price to something like $30, I've had cheap dryers that have lasted 3 years plus. Pass on this one or risk looking for a new dryer in a few months.
Great...While It Lasts

This is a great dryer; dries hair fast without damaging hair and straight and smooth. However, it only lasted a little more than a year--which isn't long enough given the price. I had a Sedu flat iron which lasted about the same amount of time. (Are Sedu products engineered to die right after the warranty expires?)
healthy hair

Makes my hair feel healthy and strong. Drawbacks: not ultra silent (but silent enough) and a little heavy.
Does everything else. Excellent purchase. I would buy it again.
Good product, horrible quality

I bought the sedu about 6 months ago, and loved it because it dried my hair better than other dryers i've used. However, all of a sudden one day, I was using it and heard a little rattle sound, then all of a sudden a big explosive sound with a spark. I was terrifed because the spark might have caught on something and ignited a fire, but luckily it didn't. Also found out later that the circuit breaker had tripped and part of my electricity went out :|
I guess my dryer is dead, unfortunately I can't return it as I don't have a receipt, plus the time limit has probably been exceeded. So I did like the product and would've bought it again if the quality is good, but that doesn't seem to be the case, so I don't think I'll be doing the Sedu thing again. Time to check out the other brands like Chi or Solia.
Either way, I've written it off a loss, but I did buy a ConairPro ceramic dryer for about $35 for the time being, and I'm pretty pleased with it. Not the same quality as the Sedu one, but almost as good.
Totally changed my hair!

I bought this hair dryer for my mom, who was worried that her current dryer was damaging her hearing. She LOVES it. It's very quiet and easy to hold. It also makes your hair REALLY shiny and healthy. I've borrowed it a few times and have had great results. I recommend fully.

As a seasoned professional, I was completely thrilled with this dryer! It is quiet, not silent and it does dry the hair quickly without the typical frizz. It is very light weight and easy to handle.
Not what I expected

I bought this product in hopes to replace the one I had, with a quieter, more efficient dryer. It was practically just as loud as the one I own and it actually took longer to dry my hair. I'm all for having healthy hair, but I don't have 30 minutes to spare in the morning drying my hair. I read the reviews that said it was great for quickly drying fine hair, but for me, it was not the case. Returned this product.
Love it!

I bought this hairdryer originally looking for a Chi, but this one was on sale, so I went ahead and took the plunge all the while hoping I hadn't made the wrong decision.
I am so glad I got this. My super naturally curly hair that I blow straight most of the time looks and feels so much better after only 2 weeks. It actually feels healthier and is alot less frizzy. I barely have to use my flatiron at all. I look like I came from the salon every day. It's not really super quiet to me, but I could care less for these results.

I have traveled all over the world and have had my hair dryed by MANY stylists. I have learned to dry my hair just like they do. However, I owned a T3 hair dryer and could not pull off the same results. With this dryer I have found a miracle. My hair is curly and fried from over processing. After my first time using it I can say my hair is straight and definitely shiny. I am blown away--pun intended. There is no frizz and no fly aways. The dryer is light and the buttons do not get in my way. I no longer have to pay top $$ to get my hair straightened. Thank you Sedu!!

I bought this expensive hair dryer only because of the "ultra silent" in its name. Several reviews seemed to concur that it is quiet. Well, it's not. It's not even "significantly" quieter than my cheap model, only slightly quieter, though it does remove the annoying high pitched whine. I don't know what these people think of as silent, let alone ultra silent, but, based on the standard dictionary versions of both these words, I was expecting no sound, in other words less than 5 decibels. Not even close! Dries okay, but slower than my old, cheap model, and is heavier, too. Not what I was expecting. Not worth the money. I'm sending it back!
Nice and Quiet

I was looking for a quiet, but solid hair dryer for my fine and thin hair, I selected Sedu because it was ultrasilent. And it is! It drys hair quickly even on medium speed and doesn't bother my ears. It is large and takes up some space in my vanity drawer, but that's a good trade off for a wonderful hair dryer. Because Sedu is a "pro style", it took some time for me to adjust my method of holding the dryer and manuvering the hair. But otherwise I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it!

It took me some time to decide to invest in this dryer! Well, my dryer finally broke and it was time to do the research. I was quite hesitant as the price is not so pretty (it's so easy to give into the Conair $19.99 dryers at Target). However, I wanted to try something with substance, new technology, and greater silence than my old dryer.
Today I finally received my package from Folica. I washed my hair and conditioned it as usual. I also towel dryed it and unpacked the dryer from the box with anticipation. Will this $125.95 dryer work? Well well girls and boys... It Does! If you have thick asian and frizzy hair like mine, you will definitely consider this dryer. After my hair dried, it left my hair soft and smooth (unlike the retro dryer I had which left my hair totally poofy, dried and wavy). I recommend this product! It is worth the price. Might I add, it is a quiet dryer, not like the obnoxious old-fashioned ones!
Worth Every Penny

I bought this blowdryer over a year ago and I love it. I used to go through two or three blowdryers a year: I have long, thick hair so drying it takes some time and cheaper hair dryers have a tendency to overheat alot. So I finally decided to invest in a better quality one and it was worth it. The dryer has never overheated and it dries my hair faster. I was surprised at how quiet it is.
Didn't last long

I was excited to use this hair dryer, since it is the first professional dryer I have ever bought. It was quiet and I was very happy with it for about a month. Then it started smoking and was obviously unsafe to use. I pulled the air vent cover off and tried to fix it, but couldn't. During the month I used the dryer it was knocked off the counter to the floor 3 or 4 times, but that has happened many times to the cheaper dryers I have owned and it doesn't seem to bother them.
I will never spend this much money on a hair dryer again. In the future I will buy an inexpensive quiet dryer that can easily be replaced.

I have thick course curly hair. My hairstylist would always blow dry it straight and I never could manage to get the same results until now. I love this dryer. It was really worth every penny and my hairdresser says my hair is getting healthier. I hardly have to use my flat iron.

i have alot of hair but fine. my hair holds water and it took a long time for me to dry. even at the haridresser's they complain how long it takes to blow dry my hair. i love the weight of this dryer and it dries fast. i didn't really want to send that kind of money but for the weight and the time saved on drying. it is a winner!!!
