ac motor vs dc motor
I'm not sure about the distinction between ac and dc motors. Some "professional dryers" say "powerful long lasting dc motor" kind of emphatically. There are dryers that specify professional with both type of motors. I will be using this dryer I purchase , professionally but I do want quiet.Working in a salon among numerous stylists, QUIET is just as important as power...in other words I want it all. Tourmaline, ionic , quiet , powerful etc. What dryer do I want? Please help.. If another brand fits these specifications, please let me know. I want to purchase it. Thank you. I'd really like an answer from someone. Answers to these questions are hard to come by. For the record,right now I have a Chi Rocket. Thanks

Blows too hard
I love this dryer, but even on the lowest fan setting, it seems to blow my fine, straight hair all over the place, making it very hard to style as I dry. Any suggestions?

are you using the nozzle? That's important especially with such fine hair. I understand that it makes it alittle more difficult because the dryer is that much longer but it directs the air right where you want it. I hope this helps. June |

I just bought the hair dryer and really does make your hair soft and shiny and not at all dry or damaged. However, it does have static afterwards. =( | | Reply by laura

I have thick hair that is long and coarse in texture. I do not find that I get static at all with this dryer. I blow my hair out and then use the Paul Mitchell ceramic flat iron for a straight style. Hope that helps. |
Does dryer straighten hair?
Does this dryer straighten hair without the use of a flat iron, similar to what the Conair Infiniti Hair Designer model 208R professes to do? My wife has naturally curly hair.
