Very good, but expensive

My daughter needed a new hairdryer, so I gave her my BaByliss (very heavy, but did a beautiful job.) I considered that if a $40 hairdryer could be that much better than the typical retail-type dryer I would go for it and purchase an awesome dryer. After reading the reviews I decided to go for the Sedu. I have their flatiron and love how it works on my fine, shoulder length hair -- shiny and smooth all day. This dryer has a nice weight, but I find when I switch hands I often switch it off or even change settings. I don't think there's any other place they could have placed the buttons, but it's still awkward. I enjoy that it's nice and quiet, but I still need the flatiron to occasionally tame my ends. It also seems as if it doesn't have very much power, yet it seems to do the job nicely without blowing your hair wildly about. As I mentioned, my hair is fine. I don't think this dryer is any faster than the BaByliss, but of course that's definitely faster than a Conair or a Revlon! My daughter's hair is very thick and takes a LONG time to dry. The Sedu dries her hair in the same time as the BaByliss, but I find that her hair looks smoother when we use the ByByliss on a slow, warm setting. My conclusion is that if your hair is very thick, the ceramic pro BaByliss may be the better choice (and much less expensive). I don't regret making the purchase, but I think I would have been able to give a glowing review if it had been half the price -- I paid $140.

I just received my Sedu dryer. I was amazed on how straight and shiny my hair was after I was done. When I used my cheap dryer, it took me about 30 to 45 minutes to dry my hair. With the Sedu dryer, it only took about 10 minutes. Now, that is amazing! I would definetly recommend this dryer to anyone. Plus, it doesn't make hardly any noise and it is very light weight. This product is worth the price.

Just received my new Sedu and couldn't wait to use it!! My cheapie dryer officially went in the trash pile after using this! The difference in dring time & difference in my hair after drying is amazing!! No more cheap-o stuff for me!!! I'm a believer! Thanks!!!

It has a very sleek look.
It's very light weight.
It's not too loud.
It gives your hair a very shinny and a healthy look.
It keeps those split ends locked.
NO MORE FRIZZ OR FLY AYWAYS!
The money is sooooo worth it and would certainly recommened this product.

I bought this dryer soley based on top sellers and the reviews and I wasn't at all impressed. I currently own a Solis dryer that I love but it's old and falling apart (probably due to dropping it a few times).
I used this dryer and my hair did not come out as nice as with my current dryer - so I ended up returning it. I don't mind spending the money, but I have to love the dryer and I was really surprised I didn't given the reviews.

This hair dryer is great!! I was a bit worried about spending this much money on a hair dryer but it was money well spent. My hair is much healthy and it doesn't get frizzy after drying it. You will not regret buying this. Some of the other reviews said it reduced the drying time but I have not found that to be true. You will be surpised how healthy your hair will be and it makes the flat ironing of your hair go so much smoother.
NO more split ends!

From a girl who's blown her hair dry her whole life: I used to think split ends were something normal that happened with time and required bi-monthly haircuts to maintain. However, I got a big trim right when I got my Sedu dryer and I didn't get a split end in 4 months. Granted this may also be because I haven't had to straighten since getting my Sedu and my hair is soft and shines like the sea... i love it!
Pros: less damaging, softer shinier hair
Cons: a little heavier than my old hairdryer
I can completely justify the cost because I get less haircuts (so thats not a con for me).
My $10 hair dryer works just the same

I either have the best $10 hair dryer in the world, or this hairdryer just isn't up to it' standards.
I washed my hair and used my cheap hairdryer to dry one side of my head and I used the Sedu one to dry the other side.
Differences I found:
* cheap one dried hair faster
* not enough blow power in the Sedu
* hair was straighter with the cheap dryer
* when asked someone's opnion on which side of my hair was blown the the expensive dryer, the person picked the cheap side.
So, my conclusion, this product does not work better than my current blow dryer. I will be returning this dryer.

This hairdryer is actually not bad. I'll list the cons first: a) I wouldn't say it dries hair incredibly fast b) it's heavy and c) it's expensive
Pros: It really does make my hair smoother and possibly adds a bit of volume.
Without being able to compare this hairdryer to others in the same category/price range, I'd have to say that I'm reasonably satisfied and that maybe it was even been worth the expense.
I love this dryer!

I bought many a hair dryer, and spent quite a bit of money.
None of them compairs with this dryer. My daughter asked for this dryer last Christmas because her hair dresser used it. I borrowed it the day after Christmas and loved it. The dryer dry's hair fast and leaves it shinney. When I was at my Sisters she borrowed it and had to have it. When at another sisters she borrowed it, loved it and bought a cheep copy. She was not happy with it and ended up buying this dryer. You will love this dryer!

It does dry my hair faster, but it did not help with the frizzies (fine straight hair) even when I used the Sedu spray.
I recommend this hairdryer.

I am not a hair stylist or a fashion guru - I am an attorney on Wall Street, and I am unbelievably busy with hardly any time to do anything for myself. I heard that a *good* hairdryer can make all the difference in time management in the morning and this one is fantastic. It's lightweight and relatively quiet. I have long hair that took 20-25 minutes to dry before. Now it takes maybe 10. A huge difference in my life and well worth it. People now comment about how good my hair looks, although I admit I still use a flat iron now and then to calm the frizzies. I used to use one daily - that's over. It's weird because now people ask if I got my hair cut, like they can't put their finger on what's different. Honestly, I never post comments like this, but I chose this website specifically because of all the comments, so I thought my positive reaction might help someone else with a life like mine. Spend the money and make your life easier. Simple as that.

I love this hair dryer. I purchased this SEDU dryer because I bought their flat iron last year and loved it so I figured that I would be equally as satisfied with the dryer as the flat iron and I was right!The SEDU dryer and flat iron have changed my life. No more sitting under a hot dryer for hours for me. From start to finish it used to take me 3.5 hours to wash condition, dry, and style my hair. Now it takes me a little under 2 hours to be ready to go our in style! The dryer drys your hair quickly and is not noisy like some of the older dryers. I highly recommend this dryer to people of all hair types and lenghts. Time once it's gone is something you cannot get back so ladies (and gentilman)go ahead and reclaim your time!

Normally, I would not spend this kind of money on myself (especially for a hair dryer), but after reading these reviews, I just had to try it. I've got long thick hair (down to the middle of my back), and had been using a plain hair dryer for years. I hated how frizzy my hair was after drying it - it took me at least half an hour to dry it and then I had to flat iron it to get the frizz out.
I am a true believer now - this hair dryer is AMAZING - I had no idea that I could get these results just by switching hair dryers. Using a round brush, it takes me only 12 minutes and I am completely done - no flat iron needed. My hair is silky soft, shiny, and healthy looking, and I can get out the door a lot quicker in the mornings.
I can't speak for people with short hair - I don't know what kind of difference it would make for you, but if you have long hair, it will make an incredible difference in the look & feel of your hair, and the amount of time it takes to get out the door. I'm a believer now!!!

this dryer is excellent. i honestly have no complaints what-so-ever. it dries my hair SO much faster than conventional dryers and also cuts down on some frizz.
my hair is always frizzy right after blow drying, regardless of what dryer i use. and you really shouldnt expect a dryer alone to give you perfect hair. but it DEFINITELY helps.
after my hair is dry, i use my sedu flat iron which finishes smoothing everything out. & my hair feels healthy and sooo soft and looks great!

I had the T3 dryer before, and I loved it, but I love this one even more. My hair is so silky. The only drawback, is that on high it is like a jet engine, so my hair does get a little tangled, but it does dry very quickly and my hair has never looked better.

i must say, my hair looks muuuch better with the new hair dryer, but i'm not 100% satisfied. it's a little too heavy and the cold air butten is hard to push, so i barely use it. my hair is still a little frizzy, but i think combined with a good ceramic flatiron (which i dont have yet), it's going to look almost the same way as in the salon. but at the end, honestly, i think for that price you definitely could find something better. BUT! i also must say, that the folica.com customer service was EXCELLENT! i definitely will keep bying products from them!!!
