this is the best hairdryer I have very used. It drys my hair in half the time, does not frizz my hair and I have thick heavy frizzy hair, but not anymore! It is worth every cent.

Listen--spending $140 on a hair dryer seems CRAZY with a capital C to me. I have always used the $30 dryer that I could buy at my local Target. Between teasing, hair dye, blowdrying, hairspray, etc, my hair had become a mess. I have very thick, coarse, curly/wavy hair that is just below my shoulders. I had started to notice that the ends of my hair were becoming very straw-like and looked crazy messy. I blow dry my hair 7 days a week without fail and started to question if it was my hair dryer doing this to me.
After reading all of the reviews for this Sedu, I decided to bite the bullet and try it. Worst case scenario it does not work well and I send it back. Well let me tell you--this is not going back at all! I have used it twice now and it has made a world of difference. My hair is shinier, smoother and does not look as frizzy. I just ordered a few good brushes and can't wait to try and do a straight blow dry when they arrive. I am 100% satisfied so far with this product. I hope it lasts a long time---and I plan to buy another one just like it when the time comes.
I can't tell you how nice it is to feel better about my hair. I have always received compliments on my hair when I was younger and that has not happened in a while due to my hair becoming a hot mess over the last few years. I have a feeling I will be getting those compliments again!
If you are on the fence you should try it and like I said before, worst case scenario you send it back.
PS..their flat iron is really good too--I have had that for a while and that is how I decided to start looking at their dryers.

This hair dryer has three heat settings: hot, lukewarm :), and cool. The middle setting is perfect for drying my hair. I don't feel much heat coming out, but on the highest speed setting, it's enough to dry my thick, shoulder-length hair in about 10-15 minutes. Why don't all dryers come with this heat setting? Turns out you don't need all that heat to dry your hair, jut enough airflow. So I'm not worried about damage and now I'm not afraid too wash my hair too often because of blowdryer damage.
It also leaves my hair smooth, frizz-free, and shiny. All this, and I don't even need to use a round brush. I can even blowdry my hair upside down, and when I flip it over, it brushes flat. I don't really understand the technology behind it, but whatever it is, it works. Definitely worth the money, especially if you want to have healthy looking long hair. I was spending all that money on conditioners, when I could've just invested in this up-front. I had to get a haircut shortly after I got it because of all the damage from my previous use of regular hairdryers, drug-store quality ceramic irons, and highlighting/coloring. But, hopefully, with Sedu, I can grow my hair out long once again, and this time I will not be doing any damage to it when I am blowdrying it.
My first picture is after using Sedu, no products, no flat-iron.
My second picture is after using a normal, drugstore hairdryer with products.

Sedu Ultrapower Hairdryer

Before I purchased the Sedu Ultrapower Hairdryer I was a victim of the cheaper version hairdryers which took forever to dry my hair, became extremely hot and would BURN my hair. A better word would be FRY my hair. I had no idea about high-end hairdryers and the technology. I am Puerto Rican and French, and have naturally curly/dry hair (think Nicole Kidman and Keri Russell curls). The curl is tight and the length is mid-back, it takes over 1 hour just to blowdry. I shopped around and read lots of reviews before I made my purchase. My hairdresser and others kept pushing me towards the Elchim but I wasn't impressed by the features and the reviews. I purchased the Sedu flatiron and love love love it! So when I read the reviews for the Sedu Ultra hairdryer, and from my own experience with the flatiron, I was leaning towards the Sedu hairdryer. Once I used my Sedu hairdryer I was absolutely happy with my purchase. Instead of taking 1 hour(+) to dry my hair, it now takes 45 minutes. All the reveiws said the drying time would be cut by half, and I gotta say that was a huge selling point for me, but even getting it done in 45 minutes is great. My hairdryer is very powerful but does not become so hot that it burns or damages my hair. It doesn't become hot to hold or leave a ringing in my ears because of the noise. And the end result is very shiny healthy looking hair. I am very happy with my purchase. With that said, product is also very important for the health and look of your hair.

I purchased this with very high hopes. I have a blow dryer that I got from overseas, it was super powerful but was frying the heck out of my hair. My hair was losing lustre, shine, and softness with every blow dry. When I first got this and used it, I couldn't believe how fast it dries hair. And my hair, wow, it is so shiny, healthy looking, and soft! I love it. It is easy to turn off while you are blowdrying but it just takes some getting used to. The only recommendation I have is that you blow dry your hair while it is more wet or damp, this just helped me get better results as far as the style I was going for. This is a well made, quality product that is well worth the 140 bucks. I look forward to styling my hair now and have never received so many compliments. I use Biosilk Silk Therapy (I'm addicted to the stuff) before I blow dry and am getting amazing results. I would definitely recommend it.
From T3 to Sedu... the right choice

I have very curly/frizzy hair that I prefer to wear straight. I have had a T3 for a couple years. Since I grew out my Japanese Straightening, I had been less than satisfied with the T3. The T3 runs very hot... to the point where it melted the barrel of the dryer itself. It has only one usable speed and no temp settings other than HOT. My hair looked parched, frizzy and totally a mess.
After researching hair dryers I decided to give the Sedu a shot. I liked the fact there were 3 speeds and 3 heat settings. I decided to order the SEDU Moisturizing Heat Protectant Boost also. After the first shampoo, my hair never looked better. Afraid I ran into beginners luck, I decided to use it for 2 weeks before I wrote a review about it. I AM THRILLED!!! My hair has never looked better. It dries quickly and smoothly and I love being able to switch speeds and temps.
One caveat though IT HAS ONLY 2 HEAT and 2 TEMP SETTINGS. The Product description says 3 heat and 3 temp settings but I do not consider OFF a setting. For the Heat setting It can switch from off to med to high.....very nice when you are getting to the end of your styling and you do not need that heat. Or if you are refreshing your style the next day. The speed setting are very good also. The high is a nice full blow. The medium a nice way to dry curly hair with a diffuser.
All in all, I am very happy with this dryer and can highly recommend it.

So, after weeks of research, I decided to bite the bullet and spend the $$$ for a quality dryer. I have been so impressed with my Sedu flat iron, that I thought I would give the Sedu Ultrapower Hairdryer a chance. I'm so glad I did. I have never spent more than $20 on a dryer before, but they always broke, and left my hair very damaged.
The first day I used my Sedu, I was impressed, but not blown away. Well, after using it for the past month, I can now officially declare that I am totally blown away with this dryer! It is amazing. It's like my hair is getting healthier (or less damaged) and more conditioned every time I use it. For the power, it is quiet and lightweight. (Note: At first, I thought it wasn't powerfull enough and seemed slow, but after getting used to it, I realize it doesn't need extra speed to be effective. Actually, it seems, less is more!)
Don't worry about the reviews that complain where the buttons are... that's a non-issue. Those people must not know how to hold a dryer, because the Sedu buttons are in a standard position, and I have had no problems accidentally turning them on/off.
What I really like about this dryer is how fast it dries my hair, the control I have with speed & heat settings and attachments, and how soft and conditioned my hair remains... all day long! I don't even feel compeled to used my flat iron anymore to get a decent style. Now I just straighten my hair once in a while for a fun style when I go out on the weekends, but I'm totally impressed with the styling I acheive using just the hairdryer alone. In fact, I don't even need to use product for manageble and soft styles. I just use the high (temp + speeed) to give my hair a general once over. Then, on a lower setting, I go over it with a round brush to smooth & set it. My style lasts all day, and I can't stop running my fingers through my hair! And my hair is sooooo shiny! No frizzies or flyaways! Plus, I can really tell that I am not damaging my hair from drying. That's a mriacle.
I never thought I would spend over $100 for a dryer, but now I can't imagine life with out it. Oh, and the real test was that I spent a week at my moms house, and left my Sedu at home. Yikes! After a week of using my mom's drug store dryer (just like the ones I have always used in the past), my hair was crunchy and dry. After a few days of using my Sedu again, my hair bounced back and is lovlier, shinier and softer than ever.
Sorry for raving, but I am really that impressed. Okay, it won't save the rainforests or bring world peace, but it will start your day off on the right foot!

Just want to update y'all. I bought my Sedu 2 years ago and it is still going strong. I use it every day. It still dries my hair easily and smoothly. I am so happy with it! When it comes time to replace it, I will absolutely buy another one. I am now looking at the smaller one for travel :)

I'll admit paying $134 for a hair dryer did seem insane to me. But I was tired of replacing my cheap ones, so why not take a chance and invest in what is deemed 'high end'
Result: I like it. My hair does dry faster and smoother. Although I must admit, the speed the air comes out does take some getting used to. Overall thumbs up, I'd definitely recommend. If you are on the fence, give it a shot.

I have long curly, frizzy, color treated hair and it did ok. After reading the reviews, I was expecting much more from this dryer. But it did ok. I returned it, and within a week a had my money back, so Folica did a great job there. My hair was partially striaght, still frizzy and poofy. I had to pull out my CHI flat iron, but i did notice my hair had more body. But I def wont buy a sedu agian, but thas for my hair, for yours it may do great.

Bought it from Folica - great experience. Ships in no time, always great pricing.
Product is GREAT! I always get compliments on my hair, especially from my stylist, which should speak volumes. Shiny, controlled, etc. I color my hair and have zero split ends. This is a gentle, but effective, dryer.
Long cord - incredibly helpful when getting ready.
Have had it for over a year - no problems. Have recommended it to friends.
Only negative is that it's a little heavy, but pros definitely outweigh the only negative I've noticed.
Buy it! If you're concerned about price, it's a great product and clearly it's going to last ... I have no complaints!

I purchased this hairdryer in July of 2008 and loved the way it made my hair feel but before the 30 days was even up the low setting stopped working and I had to exchange it, now 6 months later I have to return the new one because of the same problem, luckily it's still under warranty but if it happens again I may have to rethink buying a Sedu again.

I just received this dryer in the mail and I'm in love with it, it's so light weight and very small, but it works extremly well! The dryer I had before this one worked alright but this one just blew me away the cold gets really cold and the hot get really hot. I love this dryer and I would highly remcomend it.
Worst Hair Dryer

This is the worst hair dryer there is. I have very thick, long, curly hair. I read many reviews and trusted them. I spent $140 on something I could have spent $20 on from a grocery store. The hair dryer has very little power. There are stickers on both sides of the hair dryer that started peeling off and would pull out my hair (I eventually just pulled them off). It isn't quiet. It looks horrible. It is just bad. Now, after only having it less than three months, the motor died on me. It only blows cold air. You would think that after spending that much money that it should at lease last longer than a cheap hair dryer. I am very disapointed.

Even though the Sedu is very expensive, it is well worth it. My hair is soft and shiny looking after I dry it. I don't know that it works any faster than a cheap dryer, but the quality in my hair when I am done is amazing. If I use a round brush I don't even need a straightener, my hair is sleek and straight and soft. I could never go back to using any other dryer now!

This has been the second day of using this Sedu Xti Ultrapower hair dryer. It left my hair so nice. Although I don't quite have a styling brush yet, so I'm using my on the go hair brush by Conair. When I do get a styling brush, it's going to be so much nicer. This hair dryer leaves my hair silky and it's bouncy and full, and will get better as to when it's used with a styling brush. I had to only give it 4 stars because I can't really say it's the best, unless I have tried every hairdyer on the market, also, it left it a little frizzy, nothing a better brush can't fix . I will have to see. As far as I'm concerned, this is way better then my old Conair hair dryer that was $13, it was an emergency hair dryer until i found a better one. I also had a T3 hair dryer but that didn't work out. However, I do have to say, this Sedu hair dryer is done a pretty well job, I have fine hair that's wavy and a lot of it. This hair dryer has turned my layered wavy locks into head turning locks with some nice piecey long layers I do really like my new Sedu Xti Ultrapower hair dryer, I really hope it sticks with me for a while. Just wish i could get their Sedu hair brushes. :( I will say it's worth the money.

I purchased this hairdryer 18 months ago. It has excellent drying power. When holding the dryer and moving around the head, it's very easy to flip the buttons and turn the dryer off. This happens repeatedly when holding the dryer by the handle/grip. Control button placement would be better, perhaps, on the back side of the handle. I would not purchase this dryer again for this reason, although it dries quickly and efficiently.

I am an ultra clearance shopper and have never considered paying over $30 for a hair dryer, let alone $140. However, I ordered a Sedu flat iron a few months previous and really love it. I heard from my hairstylist that it's really the hair dryer that damages a person's hair, so after much debate, I decided to try to Sedu hair dryer (to go along with my flat iron). I must admit, it's pretty amazing. My hair is naturally wavy - you know, the "in between" style...not too curly, but not really straight, either - and this hair dryer makes it so smooth and silky. I still do touch ups with my flat iron, but there are many times I just blow dry and go. It seems totally insane to pay $140 for a hair dryer, but I must admit, I'll do it again once this one wears out.
Surprised!

I have had problems in the past with my hair getting very dry on the ends and feeling course. I have thick Wavy medium lenght hair, I was getting so tired of everytimeI leave the salon my hair would be nice shiny and managable, but as soon as I washed and dried it would be back the same way. I was not so sure about putting this much money into buying a hair dryer since I tried my sisters T-3 which made my hair really flat and badly damaged. T-3's are very hot but dry quickly. After a year I decide to try the sedu. I am very happy and my hair looks like I stepped out of a salon every day it is shiny and managable with no dry ends. This hair dryer is wonderful and worth every penny I spent on it. The only down part about it is it only has 2 heat settings medium and Hight heat and oh yes a cool shot. there are also only 2 speed setting off is not a setting. To my suprise I am able to use High heat on a high setting and it does not damage my hair. I am definely sold on this product!!!!
