I recommend before you straighten, use Make it Straight by vo5, it is cheap and you can get it from almost any grocery store in the shampoo or styling isle. That product has heat protection in it too, just put a dime size amount in hair when wet and work through. Blow dry on low heat setting, as high can damage hair. Section hair, half up and half down. Straighten that half of hair and then the other. When done brush and add Dove Anti-frizz cream, dime size amount and work through hair and then brush.

Shampoo and condition hair with Herbal Essences Dangerously Straight. Add CHI silk infusion (has heat protection and makes hair silky) before blow drying, a small amount and work through hair. Blow dry hair with an ionic hair dryer on a low heat setting because on a high setting, it might damage hair. At night time, the day before washing hair add a nickel size amount of olive oil into hair because it will make hair soft and silky. Section hair off- half up in a clip. Straighten the bottom half first, when done, the top half. Try to get as much to the root as possible (without burning self of course) Keep that flat iron gliding down each section fast, so not as much damage. Brush hair. Do any touch ups during the week.

I use KeraCare Leave-In Conditioner mixed with KeraCare Silken Seal and a few drops of DooGrow Hair Oil. I rub this on freshly shampooed damp hair and blow dry it with an ionic hair dryer. Then I flat iron it. It gives great results.
