I love this hair dryer. The cord is extremely long, I can even take the hair dryer into another room while it is still plugged in. The only thing is that it gets a little hot, you have to make sure your holding the handle and not the parts that gets hot. I also use the hair dryer with Monroe Latina Envy brush which I think makes a difference too!
Ouch!

I blow dry my hair sitting and hold it in between my legs between sections for literally a second... and it gets so hot it burns! Also, since it has such a short nozzle it's awkward holding it so close to your head... which I couldn't get used to. In all fairness, friends did comment that my hair looked shiny or nice, but I don't think it was anything you couldn't achieve with a dryer half the price. Also, I took it on vaca and it took up practically no space in my bag, which was great. Think I might get another Super Solano... just thought I could do better and hoped with such an astronomical price I could have it all!!! :)
OK, but not great!

I read the reviews and had high hopes for this dryer, but the results were pretty mediocre. It's very heavy and gets blows extremely hot air, but doesn't dry my hair any faster than a regular dryer. I definitely still have to flat iron after using it, so even though my hair is somewhat less frizzy than after drying than with my regular dryer, it doesn't save any time. Also, I actually think it works better with the ions switched off! On the plus side, my hair does seem somewhat healthier and shinier (it's extremely thick and coarse and tends to be very dry), but I'd be more likely to attribute this to my new Solia flat iron and Pureology Hydrate shampoo and conditioner than to the dryer. Overall, the dryer is OK, but should be priced at about $50.00, not $140.00!!!
Buy. This. Dryer. Now.

I was pretty apprehensive spending this much on a dryer when I've never spent over $40, ever. But I have a ton of hair that takes 25-30 minutes to dry with your typical Conair. I already have very straight hair, so I was mainly purchasing it for the "50% faster dry time." This dryer COMPLETELY lives up to the hype! My hair dried in 10 minutes (nothing short of a miracle for me) and is very soft and shiny. The dryer itself is of very solid construction - I was particularly surprised by the cord (which you shouldn't wrap around the dryer). Because the airflow is so fast and concentrated, it takes a little practice to hold the dryer right so your hair doesn't tangle in itself. I have always purchased high-end hair and beauty products and I would say this is my best all-time purchase. You will never need or want another dryer if you have this Sedu!
Not So Great

When I bought this a couple of months ago, most of the reviews were AWESOME. Thus, I am a bit disappointed, primarily for 2 reasons. It is VERY heavy and the nozzle is SO short that I can't style from a distance without hair going everywhere. The attachments don't help much. If you are looking for a traditional salon dryer - this is probably not your answer. The reason I'm even on this sight today is beacause I'm looking for a different dryer!
Somewhat disappointed

I thought long and hard about what kind of hair dryer I wanted to get. Read lots of reviews, visited different websites. This is my very first professional hair dryer and if I was going to spend more than $100 on it, I wanted to be sure to get my money's worth. Well, I've used it for almost a moth now and I'm not impressed at all.
The Sedu Revolution ad promised to do wonders with my hair (it's medium length and somewhat wavy). It's certainly 40% more compact than a conventional dryer, that I love. I don't know about weight, it's certainly much heavier than my cheap Remington Ionic dryer, but I guess that's the way professional dryers are.
Hair is 80% shinier.- I think this is an overstatement. My hair seems a little bit shinier (maybe 5% shinier), but definitely not 80% shinier
Ions eliminate static and frizz by 90% - Now this is definitely not the case for me. I even feel it's had the opposite effect! It's frizzier now...
Leaves the hair more manageable and reduce damage - Well, my hair feels softer, but again, the difference is not that noticeable.
It takes the same time to dry my hair.
The bottom line is I don't think it's worth the $140 I paid for it. You may get the same results with a cheaper Ionic dryer .
Love this dryer... and I've used a lot

I love this dryer because:
1) It dries my hair very quickly and smoothly, and I have thick, naturally wavy hair that I blow dry straight
2) It's lightweight, and the short barrel length eases arm fatigue (you can hold it closer to your body)
3) It's powerful, and you can control the heat, airflow, and ionic-ness separately
4) The switches are located in such a way that you never accidentally hit them
I've owned two CHI dryers (red, then light blue), a Super Solano, and now this. I like this the best. I have a houseguest who's also a hair junkie and she loves this one too over the CHI and others.
Best Hair Dryer Ever !!

I received my Sedu Revolution yesterday and I have to say that it is my first professional hair dryer. It was very well packed and the product looked brand new and came with both concentrator adapters, as it should have. I've been using a Conair 1875 for years and I have not been able to find a better hair dryer than that one until now. This thing is so powerful that you can dry your hair a lot faster than with other blow dryers. Nothing compares to it, and when you use it with the ions turned on and the right ioninc round brush, your hair will look so shiny and silky, you won't need to use a flat iron. I can say that I thought I would never be able to live without my flat iron but now I can, thanks to this Sedu. I have never spent so much on a hair dryer and still won't tell my mother how much it was, but this is a miracle machine. It is quite heavier than I though it would be but I think that's because it's so powerful. I mean you can tell the difference in weight when you turn it on. All in all, it's great.
You get what you pay for !!!!!!

I've always used Solano dryers , almost 15 yrs. Decided to try this when it was on sale over the Xmas holiday. I had to work up the courage to spend the money, but glad I did. It's been 4 months since my last trim and this dryer has been the reason! It does not damage! I have below the bra lenght hair and it dries in 7 minutes when my Solano took 20! My hair is softer, longer and stronger and compliments keep coming. Girls, you deserve it, Go for it. You wont be sorry !
Not happy

I decided to spend more $ to get a great blow dryer based on the reviews I saw here. This dryer is very heavy and much too hot--it actually burns my scalp. My hair doesnt come out any smoother or less frizzy than with my much less expensive dryer which is easier to use since it is lighter. VERY unhappy with this.

After reading all of the reviews I went ahead and dished out for the pricey hairdryer. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. Didn't cut my drying time in half from my current hairdryer, which was a fraction of the price.
It's alright, but not worth the money

My previous dryer was the Babyliss Carerra 2 (the red one) and I have had it for two years before deciding to get a new one. I got this dryer as a gift and was really excited to use it. It took about the same time for me to get my hair dry (about 20 minutes), so I don't feel this dryer can dry your hair any faster than my Babyliss. I did notice that my arm was getting tired really quickly (I never noticed that with my Babyliss). I held both dryers in my hand and oddly enough, the Sedu seemed heavier. The Sedu does reach high speeds and I recommend using one of the nozzles it comes with to keep the air flow under control. The Sedu did make my hair silky and I didn't need to use my iron. Overall, I think this is a good dryer but not worth the money. I think you can achieve the same results from other professional dryers which are much less expensive. I do like this dryer and will keep it, but if I didn't receive it as a gift, I would probably return it for something less expensive.
Is it wrong to love an inadimate object?

I hope not because really, this is a hair-altering dryer and I LOVE it! I have fine curly hair, but a lot of it. I was prone to dry-out and frizz. My husband loves my hair and prefers it long. Fine, but I have 4 kids and not a lot of time to blow my hair out daily. Then of course there's the damage that comes w/ that. Not any longer. My husband tells me almost daily that he can't believe how much smoother my hair is and how much fuller it is! This is money he was more than happy I spent lol! If you're on the fence, I assure you, you will not be unhappy with this dryer- AT ALL.

I bought this after returning the Solia dryer that everyone raves about. I'm very happy with the Sedu so far. I've had it for about a month now. Initially upon taking it out of the box, I couldn't believe how small and light this dryer is. Even the hubby thought it looked cool. It's almost as small as a travel dryer. I noticed some of the other reviewers saying that this was a heavy dryer. Are they crazy??? Anyway, I was also slightly skeptical upon initial inspection because it looked like it was used already. I guess that should be expected since Folica excepts returns and I'm sure they just ship them right back out if they are not damaged. In any case, the dryer performs very well. I bought this model for the fact that you can turn on/off the ions, thereby giving you the option of styling for fullness (ions off) or for shine/defrizz (ions on). Since I have straight/fine hair, I choose to turn the ions off for fullness. I was very impressed with the results after the first test drive. My hair was very full looking and very smooth and soft to touch. It really looked like I just had my hair done at the salon. As for design, I'd be hard pressed to make any improvements. Its small, light, the controls are nested into the handle so there's no accidentally turning it off mid styling, the included concentrator nozzles snap on very securely and it has a very long cord. It isn't as hot as my old Babyliss Ceramix xtreme and it takes a little longer drying than the Babyliss, but maybe that's not such a bad thing. Do I think it's worth $150 +?? Honestly, I don't think any dryer should be priced that high, but I don't regret it. I'd give 5 stars if it was more reasonably priced.
Very Pleased

Great dryer! Love it! Not that heavy. I like the handle. I had a Solano for about 5 years until it finally died. That was a good one too but I love this dryer. Just need a diffuser that will fit.
not worth the hype

I have used this for about a month and now can post a review. This hair dryer is very heavy compared to other tourmaline ionic dryers and very loud. Also, the cord is extremely long. As far as the performance of the dryer, I would give it mixed reviews. It does dry fast but so does my conair ionic 1875 which I paid $24.99 for. Also, my hair has much static after using the sedu. I was really hoping that the majority of the positive reviews would hold true but it was not worth buying this heavy, loud, expensive hair dryer.
I just got it....my first pro dryer (Sedu)

After years of leaving my hair curly, I wanted to go straight again. I never thought I would spend so much money on a pro dryer (even though I have always wanted one), I can totally see the difference, i have a conair that I spent 50 dollars on a few years ago and it really does not compare.
I live in a very humid city and for right now the weather is great. I hope it works during the summer. In the fall, I will post back and change my rating.....
Thank you Folica, I ordered my blow dryer on saturday and received it wednesday. I can't wait to use it again.

I noticed your comments and just had to respond. Most hair dryers have the one of three wattages..so that has nothing to do with how good the dryer is. Second, a dryer doesnt tangle anyones hair, your hair is probably dry, therefore tangly..you need a good deep conditioner. Third the weight of the dryer is 1.2 lbs. so if that is causing you an hour of pain afterward..you may need to see a doctor because that is practically the lightest dryer I have ever heard of in my years as a stylist.Last, there is no reason you should dry your hair on low unless touching up or doing bangs..so just turn it up!!! Truth is,a dryer is good if it does what you need it to do.Price, name brand, makes no difference. I found your review overly dramatic and very amusing. Dont mean this to offend, but I just had to comment on how over the top your review was. I like the Chi blower..because they will give you a new one if you keep your receipt and that is good enough for me.Dont buy the T 3 products or babyliss they are crap.
Disappointed

I really wanted to like this hairdryer. I found that it was not all it was cracked up to be. It left my hair very limp even when using it on the regular setting. The ionic setting was a joke. I highly suggest if you have fine hair to stick with a regular hairdryer not one of these so called fancy ones. My $30 Remington works better than any I've tried so far.
